Can anyone help me confirm my math so that I know I'm not going crazy? 27 month lease, $65,345 msrp, 56k selling price, 68% residual, .00148 MF. Dealership swears it calculates to 592.. my math says 577 or so. They definitely aren't including tax in this number. Help?
Suspect( I going to pull of at the end of the deal a fast one) dealer fee, doc fee, or processing fee added to cap cost to increase the pre-tax monthly to $592. Check the paper work.
$576.99.. as noted, something else is in there... Of course, $15 X 27 = $405... So, it's something small...
Did they add maintenance, then bump the residual by 1%? That would work out just about right.

MB does not change the residual for adding maintenance. Ask to see the detail...they have to show it to you before you sign the lease anyway. There is a form with every charge on it.
E350 Convertible lease help. Looking for numbers on 2014 MSRP 74,430. 36 months/12k per year. MF and residual help would be appreciated, along with anyone's leasing experience here in SoCal, regarding discount off MSRP. Thanks.

If you are that tight for money, then lease a cheaper car. How hard is it to have your payment in the bank? I set up a separate account and my mb lease payments come out of that account. I make sure there is enough in there to cover the payment due. Is that difficult?
Sorry, what I meant switching auto pay to a different bank later. I am in the process of switching checking a/c (fed up with current bank fees, etc) so just want to make sure I can cancel the auto pay and add new checking a/c later. Sorry for the confusion again.
Yes.. .you should be able to substitute any other bank account.

kyfdx or carman... Our local dealer is having a Winter Event special with $4K toward a 2014 E350. What is the MF and RV for E350 luxury trim? Term: 27 months (10K and 12K) and 30 months or 33 months (10K and 12K).
That deal has been running all month! MF is .00148 (.00138 if you use autopay), residual is 69% for 10k, 68% for 12k and 66% for 15k for 27 mos.
Dealer won't give me MF 0.00148, told me he has to make 1.5 point profit. So here's what he offered instead...
MSRP = $62350
Cap Cost = $55350 plus acquisition fee $795 (per dealer acquisition must be capitalized)
Residual = 69%
Term = 27 months
MF = It started off at 0.00198, then negotiated down to get monthly payment of $641 with auto pay discount
No down, cash due = 1st month lease + $472 (fees) + $19.23 (3% sales tax) = $1132.23
Options
E350 Luxury trim, black
Premium 1 package
Comfort box
Parktronic
Lighting package
Keyless Go package
Lane Tracking package
Split folding rear seats
Wood/leather steering wheel
What do you all think? I'm thinking of getting prepaid maintenance added too because on my previous E350, I paid almost $800 on scheduled maintenance.
Lousy deal. Find another dealer. Some dealers mark up the 795 to $1095 which mb is ok with...but the MF is the MF. You should be getting around $10k off if dealer has car in stock.....that's invoice price less the $4000 mb dealer cash this month.
For reference, I am paying $590 a month for 12k miles 27 mo lease and that includes maintenance and 7% tax on a 63200 msrp car and that doesn't include the maintenance....I paid $840 when we signed including first month rent and nuisance fees and registration fee. You're being asked to pay $50 a month more for a less expensive car with less miles and you don't have maintenance included. This was in sw Florida and I leased earlier this month with autopay.
If you have time...not sure the $4000 will continue into January...find another dealer or tell your dealer you want somewhere around $570 including tax with no extra money up front ... including maintenance and let him figure out how to play with the numbers. Hang in there...my bet is that they will lease you the car for that price after they say no way...just sit by your phone and wait for the counter offer....and refuse it. Hang in there for a reasonable deal at around $575 ( I haven't actually run your numbers so 575 is a bit of a guess...perhaps even a little high).
Good luck.
I had a chance to run your numbers through my home lease calculator...and surprise, the dealer actually used .00138 to figure the lease...irrespective of what he said. The fundamental problem I see is that he isn't giving you enough of a discount on the car. Many of us have gotten invoice + 4000 off...which in your case would be 9k. Add in dealer admin fee (around 700?) and the capitalized cost would be about 54K....but yours is $1500 more....or $55+ a month more in payments.
If I add in the maintenance, I think $560-$575 is the right place to be including your local 3% tax.
good luck...hope I helped more than confused...
ghstudio - Thank you for the tips! Very, very helpful info.
Our GLK350 has 6 lease payments to go and we are thinking of upgrading to ML350 gas or Bluetec so I'd better switch to the M Class forum for tips too ;-) I think we may wind up getting two new vehicles next week, if the numbers are on our favor ;-)
kyfdx or carman... what is the RV and MF for a E350 Coupe
Term: 27 (15k)
Term: 30 (15k)
Term: 33 (15k)
Any details on this? Sorry i'm trying to close a deal before month end
2014 E350 Coupe 30mo, 15K/yr lease
.00146 MF and 61% residual
I don't have the 27 month and 33 month residuals, but when those are offered, it is usually the same as the 24 mo and 30 month residuals, respectively... those are 67% and (the aforementioned) 61%, respectively...
regards,
kyfdx

Hi Carman! I am looking at leasing an E350 or E250. E350 I think is the better deal, as I see MF is .00138 if I use autopay and residual is 66% for 15k miles for 27 Mos. I think E250 is higher right? Also, if I wanted to lease for 20k miles a year, am I better of doing that up front or wait until the end? Thanks and Happy New Year!
The E350 residual is a couple of points lower, but the lower money factor will more than make up for that, unless they are discounting the E250 a lot more..
I'm not sure of the answer on your extra mileage.. It's likely to be cheaper upfront, but if you buy more than you need, that advantage can disappear pretty quickly.
