I'm looking to lease a 2004 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro Sedan. I'd like to find out what the current money factor and residuals are for 36 or 39 (if available) month lease at 12,000 miles per year. Also, please let me know if there is any lease cash or dealer incentives available that can be combined with the lease.
Car_man, can you post the money factor and residual for a fully loaded G35 coupe with Nav for May?
By the way, my car has been ordered and I'm just waiting for it now - the delivery date is for July, but I want see how the residuals and MF's are changing month by month.
Hi Carman, Many thanks for your advice, I recently got a great deal on a V6 cayenne-Anyway, we are also in the market for the RX330, AWD, Premium plus package, heated seats, mats, wheel locks, MSRP=$41,838, Selling price=$38,000- 15K, 39months- can you give me an idea of lease payments, residuals and money factors, thanks-
You can't go by me but I'm looking at an allroad with premium, cold weather, and Bose XM radio, MSRP is 46.240, selling price is 500. over invoice and comes to 42,548. 39 mo./15K. Normally should be around 542./mo.
My situation is that I'm getting Audi loyalty money ($1000. towards cap cost), and Audi Financial is giving me 500. towards leasing an Audi or VW (long story on a LL'd car). So when you add it all up, I'm paying about 501./mo. on this allroad. Quite the deal since last year at this time, the same numbers for the exact same car, same deal over invoice (500.) but MF of .00025 residual of 50% came to $531. The 04' allroad is about 1200. less than the 03' model....Time to act since they're not building anymore 04's...
Still trying to deal, but I missed April so now I need to know what are the terms for May. Please and TX. What is the mf/R % f/12K/15K for May for Odyssey EX Leather w/Nav.? R, mtnsun.
After looking at the Forester I am now focusing on the XS with an MSRP of $25,476 and a selling price of $23,200. I live in Westchester NY and am looking to lease for 36 months with either 10k or 12k per year. What is the residual and money factor for this car? Any incentives? Could you give me a ball park lease cost?
You have been very helpful in the past. I have leased two cars with your help.
This is what I just got from a dealer in colorado. The selling price for a 2004 EXV6 Accord sedan with navigation, is $26,390.($2500 off of MSRP) The monthly payment for a 36 month lease, with 15,000 miles a year is $398 plus tax. The residual is 52%, and the money factor is .00128.
Compared to buying for 6 years at 4% interest: 412 per month...
Here is a thought.. and it is assuming all your residuals and MF are correct.
If you get the same car without Navigation, and get the same amount off MSRP, your payment will be about $45/month less. That is assuming the same MF and a 2% higher residual (which I think is correct for non-NAV models).
I made up my mind. I'm getting an S4. Could you please tell me the MF and residual and provide sample lease payments for both 24 months/10,000 and 36 months/10,000 miles in New Jersey (6% tax).
Thanks for your recent assistance. I am closing in on a deal for the BMW X5 4.4 (MSRP $59,700, 12,000 miles per year for 3 years, $0 down) and the 745i (MSRP $79,600, 15,000 miles per year for 3 years, $0 down). Please tell me the up-to-date May money factors and residual values (% of purchase cost) for these 2 vehicles.
Also, aside from saying "CarMan told me", how do I prove to the salesman that I know the accurate numbers for these 2 variables?
........ Not knocking the vehicle but the new "7" isn't burning down any barns right now and most dealers are up to their eyeballs in expensive inventory .. nobody is breaking in late at night to steal 7's ..
You need to be "around" $1,500ish over invoice, figure the $1150 on this deal (plus your leasing 2 Fat Daddys) ... so figure "about" $2,500 over invoice on the 7, and let them kick the other $1150 off the X5, thats fair for both, plus it's easier for you to watch the numbers this way ............
....... Nope it actually increases it, they don't need to be hung up in some extra inventory in some crazy slate color and a whacked option list .. just get that "I don't care" attitude (in a very nice way) and things should work out ..
was looking at a 04 rsx auto/cloth with body kit and rear spoiler with 1K down lease payment was 270.00 per month,is this a good price need some help thanks
Hi carman, We are also looking at the FX 35, with the touring and sport package, msrp. 41,000- selling price= 38,500- and the fx35 with the touring package only, msrp= $39,760 selling= $36,00- with nothing down for 39 m, 15K miles, can you provide me with the money factors, residuals and lease payments-many thanks for all of your help-
I have been given a quote by the dealer for BMW X3, $38200 (about 200$ over invoice) Lease details: 39 Months, 15K mile/yr, 1550$ drive-off Money factor 230 and residual 59% net monthly instalment with tax: 560$ Is it a good deal ??? Also, I have a trade-in car, is it better to go with the offer above or pay them 15000$ of trade-in value upfront to cut my monthly payment
Forgot with an automatic Trans... Sorry Stacey Can you give me the new MF Residual Selling Price dealer incentives (if any) for an EX V6 L W/Navi 15,000 miles
Would the selling price be the same to buy it for cash.... Thanks Stacey
Hey jsevenseven. You're in luck, on Friday, General Motors actually reintroduced lease cash on the 2004 Cadillac CTS. I am not sure if this is a national program, but I would be more than happy to see if this cash is available in your area if you let me know where you live. The only catch with this lease cash, $1,400, is that it is only for 4 year leases. If you were to lease a 2004 Cadillac CTS, not the CTS-V, through General Motors Acceptance Corp. this month for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, its base lease rate and residual value should be 3.95% and 50%, respectively. A lease rate of 3.95% is equivalent to a money factor of around .00165.
Hi stacey_burke. Here is the scoop on the 2004 Honda Accord. Honda is currently providing 1.9% financing for up to 3 years, 2.9% for 4 years, and 3.9% for 5 years on this car. It also is providing a special lease money factor of .00118 for up to 36 months on the '04 Accord EX in all states except for New York. In addition to these special rates, Honda is giving dealers $400 dealer cash on '04 Accord Sedans and $800 on Accord Coupes and an additional $100 on both if they hit certain sales targets.
As far as leasing this car goes, American Honda Finance corp.'s 3 year, 15,000 miles per year residual value for a 2004 Accord EX V6 L W/Navi is currently 52%. Its selling price should be exactly the same, regardless of whether you are paying cash, financing, or leasing it. The price that you receive will depend upon how good a job you do at negotiating and comparison shopping. You should be able to get a good idea of what this model is selling for right now by stopping by the following discussion: KarenS "Honda Accord: Prices Paid & Buying Experience" May 9, 2004 10:19am.
Hey 03oddity. A lease money factor of .00075 is equivalent to an approximate interest rate of 1.8%. If you purchase the Saab that you are interested in through GM's supplier purchase program you would be eligible for a special selling price and any available incentives, so the $4,500 lease cash will be taken off of your already low price. If you need additional miles, you will have to purchase them on a per-mile bases. I am not sure exactly what GMAC charges per additional mile, but it doesn't really matter because I do not believe that it is negotiable. Most banks do not refund money for unused miles.
Hi Dave. Your profile says that you live in New Jersey. This is important because Audi's May lease program varies depending upon what state one is in. If you were to lease a 2004 Audi A6 2.7T Sedan through Audi Financial Services in your state this month for 39 months with 12,000 miles per year, its base lease money factor and residual value should be an incredibly low .00010 and 49%, respectively. It is also providing $2,000 dealer cash that may be used to reduce the capitalized costs of leases of the A6 2.7T in your area, but only on S Line models.
Nice choice in cars, maxim49. I would be more than happy to help you out, but in order for me to do so, I need to know how long you want to lease this car and how many miles per year you need to be able to drive it. Once I have this additional info I will let you know what I am able to find out.
Congratulations on your new Cayenne, sharkala. So you're a multiple SUV family, huh? Last month, Lexus was not providing any sort of lease support on the 2004 RX 330. I don't believe that it is providing any support on it in May either. If this is the case and you were to lease one through Lexus Financial Services, you would have to use its standard lease money factor. The last that I heard, LFS' base standard factor was .00200 in most areas. I have not seen if it has changed its residual values for this model in May yet, but should be able to find out for you. Please check back with me in a day or two and I will let you know what I have been able to find out.
Hi wibble. Audi's May lease program varies depending upon what state one is in. I took the liberty of checking your profile and noticed that you are in Alabama, not England . If this is the case and you were to lease a 2004 Audi A4 3.0L Sedan with quattro through Audi Financial Services in its Southeast region this month for 3 years with 15,000 miles per, its base lease money factor and residual value should be .00030 and 51%, respectively. I believe that Audi is providing $500 dealer cash on this model that may be used to reduce the capitalized costs of leases in its Southeast region.
Hey mtnsun. I believe that Honda is only providing support on 2 year leases of this van right now. If you were to lease a 2004 Honda Odyssey EX Leather w/Nav. through American Honda Finance Corp. this month for 2 years with 15,000 miles per, its base lease money factor and residual value should be .00113 and 65%, respectively. Its 12,000 miles per year residual value would be 66%. In addition to this special lease program, Honda is providing $500 dealer cash that may be used to negotiate a lower capitalized cost on this model.
Hello RXKE. According to what I have heard Subaru is not leasing vehicles to residents of New York any longer because of the vicarious liability issues that exist there. I think that consumers who want to lease a Subaru in New York either have to do so through an independent bank or enter into a balloon note on one. Sorry that I could not be of more help.
Hi ctorrey. Audi's lease program is regional this month, so I need to know what state you are in to give you an idea of what the current lease program is like on the model that you want. As far as the Volvo S60 R goes, I have not heard anything about the cash for leasing one through independent banks this month, but Volvo Finance is running a very aggressive lease program on it. If you were to lease a 2004 Volvo S60 R through Volvo Finance this month for 3 years with 12,000 miles per, its base lease money factor and residual value should be .00020 and 53%, respectively.
BMW's lease program is very interesting this month, siteexpert. It cut way back on its lease money factor support and is providing dealer cash on the majority of its models instead. If you were to lease a 2004 BMW 330xi through BMW Financial Services this month for 3 years with 12,000 miles per, its base lease money factor and residual value should be .00220 and 53%, respectively. It is providing $2,400 dealer cash on the '04 330xi that may be used on conjunction with this lease program. As a side note, BMW does not usually allow 39 month leases, but it is running them on '04 3-Series AWD models this month, just in case you are interested.
As far as the 2004 Infiniti G35x goes, if you were to lease one through Infiniti Financial Services this month for 3 years with 12,000 miles per, its base lease money factor and residual value should be .00174 and 53%, respectively.
I am glad to see that you have decided what car you want, Mark. With so many great vehicles out there right now, that is half the battle . If you were to lease a 2004 Audi S4 Sedan through Audi Financial Services in New Jersey this month for 24 months with 10,000 miles per year, its base lease money factor and residual value should be .00170 and 61%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease of this car should be .00170 and 52%. According to my calculations, the zero down, pre-tax monthly lease payments for an '04 Audi S4 Sedan with an MSRP of $52,220 and a selling price of $50,000 leased using the above numbers should be around $896 for 2 years and $766 for 3 years.
Thanks for all your hard work on tracking down these numbers for all of us. You asked me to remind you to get the Chicago numbers for the SLK230 and 325xi. I'd be interested in the current MF/resid numbers for 36 and 48 month leases.
Also, the MB dealer still has a new 2003 SLK230 in the warehouse. How do they calculate these same numbers for that car? And how much under invoice would it be reasonable to offer for the 2003 (they still have LOTS of 2004s in the warehouse as well)?
Car_man is the expert here, but couldn't resist jumping in re: your question on "down payment" to reduce the monthly outlay--remember, when you lease you are *renting* the car! There is no such thing as a "down payment" on a lease because you don't own a leased car. Never put any more in upfront than you intend to lose.
If you have $15K equity to play with, either sell the current ride privately and lease the Beemer, or trade in on a purchase rather than a lease.
If you were to borrow, say, $25K at current rates (3.9%), you could own the BMW outright in 4 years for $563 a month according to my calculations.
I would like to enlist your help in analyzing the numbers I was given for a 2004 Odyssey EX-RES. I have always done good! deals purchasing my vehicles, always paying a fair price around invoice. This is my first possible lease deal and some of the numbers do not make much sense. I have done my research in trying to learn as much as I can about leasing. The numbers are as follows: msrp - 28,980 Residual 73% - 21,155 Lease term - 24 months / 12K miles per year selling price - 25,451 Monthly payment 249 per month down payment 999 that includes 249 1st month payment, 282 cap cost reduction, 398 doc fee and 61 registration.
I was told to negotiate the on msrp and it looks like the selling price is down to 25451. How does that help me in the when If I want to purchase the vehicle at lease end I would pay 73% of msrp to buy the vehicle. In essence, I am paying close to 29,000 at that time (to include my deposit and lease payments). Also, where is the 500 Honda dealer cash.
I am told there is no deposit and no disposition fee at the end. I feel that these numbers are not geared to be a good for me.... Good deal for the dealer and honda. Can you please help me with these numbers and provide any insight to take back to the dealer for a better? deal.
I have recently found the discussion tread. What a great site. Keep up the good work. Thanks again in advance.
........ ** And how much under invoice would it be reasonable to offer for the 2003 (they still have LOTS of 2004s in the warehouse as well)? **
I think you might save yourself a little grief on the 03 if your trying to grab it for under invoice, and maybe head towards the 04's .. even though they might have a few new ones standing, they will sell or maybe even lease the 03 .. Spring has sprung in the Chi-town area and their not distressed merchandise ...

Thanks,
Dave
By the way, my car has been ordered and I'm just waiting for it now - the delivery date is for July, but I want see how the residuals and MF's are changing month by month.
Thanks for your help again!!
MF .00035
Residual 36 mo./15K 54%
Residual 39 mo. /15K 52%
Plus, I've been able to easily negotiate $500. above invoice. Good month to go for the allroad. Take advantage of it.

After looking at the Forester I am now focusing on the XS with an MSRP of $25,476 and a selling price of $23,200. I live in Westchester NY and am looking to lease for 36 months with either 10k or 12k per year. What is the residual and money factor for this car? Any incentives? While we're at it, could you do the same for the '04 Volvo S60 R (are there any incentives like the recent $4.5k to seek alternative financing)?
As always thanks! This is a great help in planning for and preparing lease figures.
The selling price for a 2004 EXV6 Accord sedan with navigation, is $26,390.($2500 off of MSRP) The monthly payment for a 36 month lease, with 15,000 miles a year is $398 plus tax. The residual is 52%, and the money
factor is .00128.
Compared to buying for 6 years at 4% interest:
412 per month...
If you get the same car without Navigation, and get the same amount off MSRP, your payment will be about $45/month less. That is assuming the same MF and a 2% higher residual (which I think is correct for non-NAV models).
$45/mo. is a lot for one option, IMHO.
