Anyone know if/when this engine comes to the Tribute?
As to your post of the Mazda dealer removing stickers form the windows, yes it appears to be illegal as it is in violation of the Federal Automobile Disclosure Act.
Jim
Anyone from the NE area buy a Tribute for a steal? If so, how much roughly? Where? Any contacts? Thanks. terrymcginnis.
That said, overall the vehicle is great . . . and better than anything else out there for the price and even higher. The Sante Fe is way too ugly for me. Has anybody seen the new Isuzu Axiom? Yuck! The Highlander is a glorified mini-van.
"MY 2001 MAZDA TRIBUTE STALLS SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS OCCURRED 4 TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN NOVEMBER 2000. MY TRIBUTE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER FOR THE THIRD TIME FOR THIS "STALLING" PROBLEM. I WAS CONTACTED BY AN INDIVIDUAL WITH THE MAZDA NORTH AMERICAN TECHNICAL HEADQUARTERS APRIL 12. THE MAZDA REPRESENTATIVE ASKED A BATTERY OF QUESTIONS PERTAINING TO THE VEHICLE STALLING. FORTUNATLEY, NO ONE HAS BEEN INJURED AT THIS TIME DUE TO THIS PROBLEM WHICH SEEMS TO HAVE NO RESOLUTION.
Waiting on my ES to come in and was wondering if anyone who has a 2001 Trib has experienced this problem?
If I was you, I would be calling my dealership regarding your ATs. Who knows, they might want to get those of a Mazda before anyone knows they were ever on the Tribute.
The reasons why I am thinking of canceling my order is poor gas mileage and all the complaints about quality. Gas in California SC Bay Area have reached $2.10 per gallon and my go up to $3.00 this summer.
If I change my mind, anybody interested in taking over my order?
BTW, this situation is a good reminder to check your tire pressure today and every Thursday.
Has anyone figured out how to reduce
the excessive wind noise at high speed
(other than slowing down
Will hood and/or moonroof deflector(s)
help?
Thanks in advance,

He must not be from around these parts.
He assured me they do not! Take that for what it worth, but I'm tending to believe him.
In the case of the front plate... They are required because the body shop / Recon (prep team) placed that on your vehicle. Besides there is a front license plate bracket made for the vehicles, the dealer should NOT have had to use wood screws to mount a plate. If they won't budge on this, go the American way and bring in a Lawyer. LOL
