Speedometer not working on my 1998 Dakota, had transmission rebuilt.

In order for the computer to command the transmission to shift, it has to see the vehicle speed. The PCM/TCM also sends that signal to the IPC. So with the information that the transmission doesn't shift, someone needs to pull codes from the PCM/TCM and confirm if it is receiving the output shaft speed signal or not.5
