2016 Mazda Lease payment question

Hello. I am interested in leasing the Mazda 6. The best offer that I got from a dealer for Mazda 6 Touring with Moonroof/Bose Package and Touring Technology Package for $299/mo (incl. NY tax) for 36mo and 12k miles. MSRP is $29.085. Is it good or should I negotiate some more?

You want to negotiate the selling price, just as if you were buying the car.

Negotiating the monthly payment gives the dealer too much opportunity to fiddle around with the numbers, to his advantage.

Lease numbers on the 6 for 36/12 are 50% and .00001. There is also $2340 worth of lease cash (factory to dealer incentive) that you can use to lower the price or offset the up front costs.

I dont think I am going to buy out the car after lease ends so I think that monthly payment is what is more important for me.
I dont know if I got it right - the dealer has $2340 that he can manipulate and lower the selling price?

Yes, that is correct. The $2340 is a factory to dealer incentive - the dealer can choose to pass it along to the customer.

300x36=10,800 -- amout I pay during the lease
29,080-50%=14,540 -- amount the car should be worth after lease ends without negotiations
14,540-10,800=3,740 -- difference, sticker price after lease ends - amount I pay during lease
29,080-3,740=25,345 <-- this should be the car price what I get it for, am I right?

Here is an article that shows you how to build your own lease calculator; the .00001 is the money factor, which is sort of like the 'interest rate' for the lease. You have to pay a 'rent charge' to borrow the money for the lease.

Okay.
I am wondering about one thing, Mazda has a $2340 dealer incentive and a $1000 cash back deal so I could negotiate not more than $3340 minus MSRP? Or could I negotiate the MSRP and than add $3340 to it? Will $3340(?) be under capitalized cost reduction or will it be counted in the sale price (capitalized cost)?
I would be really grateful for an answer.

Not sure that the two incentives can be combined - the $1000 may be for purchase only, not a lease.

Use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools here at Edmunds. That should give you a target price.

Oh okay.
So lets assume I could just get $2340 as a rebate, is that the most I could negotiate from MSRP or could I negotiate a price and then try to subtract the $2340? And would $2340 be listed as a cost reduction or subtracted from the capitalized cost on the lease agreement?

You negotiate your best price, then subtract the lease cash.

I think its counted as a cap cost reduction.
