My supplier discount shows the below:

Total MSRP†: $48,150.00
GM Supplier Discount Price**: $45,982.86
Purchase Bonus Cash †† -$3,000.00
Consumer Purchase Cash *** -$1,000.00
GM Supplier Discount Price After Offer†: $41,982.86

I received the below from the dealership. The amount includes my supplier discount.

Here are the Traverse Lease numbers as we discussed:

For a 36 month/36k miles lease with $4800 due at start (this covers about $500 in fees, $1860 in tax, your first months payment, and the rest is down payment)
The payment would be 412/month

36month/45k miles (15k/yr) would be 440/month

39month/39k miles (12k/yr) would be 412/month

39month/48,500 miles (15k/yr) would be 437/month

These quotes do not include the $500 Labor Day rebate that expires tonight but it does include two $500 dealer coupons, totaling $1000, that are available on a first come basis.

Those numbers are misleading - the $3000 purchase cash cannot be used for a lease.

Ask the dealer for their adjusted cap cost, and how they arrived at that number from the MSRP.

And, we don't recommend so much cash up front - just the first payment and any DMV or registration costs. Add the taxes and other fees into the monthly payment.

The dealership came back with the below information. This seems outrageous to me that they would request $5000 down payment to get to 4399 on a vehicle that has a cap cost of $38

The MSRP of the vehicle is $48,150. The adjusted cap cost is roughly $38868. This is calculated by taking your GM Supplier price of 45982 and subtracting $5500 in GM Rebates and Dealership coupons. From there you subtract about $4000 of your own cash cap reduction, then add back in roughly $1900 in sales tax and $595 lease acquisition fee. They would do the 39 month 12k mile/year lease for 399/month with $5000 due at start so that would change the figures slightly lower.

Well... you don't have to put $5000 upfront. That's just to hit that payment. You could put $1500 upfront and have a payment of $499/mo.

When I calculate using their MSRP and adjusted CAP, with .00081 MF and 53% residual for 39/12, I get $395/mo, which is pretty close to their $399.

0.0040 is for 36 or 24? I'm guessing 24 since it's with the higher residual? So I'd be able to get that 500 dollars, plus the lease conquest or loyalty if I qualify, and maybe a couple of hundred from my insurance company if listed? None of the other current incentives can be applied to a lease? (Bonus cash, etc). Also, is there any way to find out supplier/Costco pricing or discount ahead of time? Check with your dealer - generally, there is a per mile deduct for service loaners, but we don't know what the rate is for GM Financial.

I've received some conflicting info. I was told that GMF doesn't change residual under 7500 miles, but 7500 and over they won't lease it. Yet I was quoted a price on a vehicle with 7800 or so miles on it that was clearly using GMF residual and MF, although there was an "adjusted residual price" that seemed to knock the residual down about 4%, but that wasn't explained.

We don't have that information.

Seems doubtful that there wouldn't be a residual reduction for a vehicle with 7000 miles, though.
