Hi All
Wondering if this is a good deal from the dealer who's selling this demo deal in FL for 10k/36mo for a 2018 540i with 3500 miles
MSRP - $68500
Sale Price - $ 56500
Money Factor - .0095
Adjusted residual for mileage - 59%
Customer Cash - $1400
Dealer rebate - $1000
Total Cap reduction - $1000

Dealer is quoting $685/mo...i am not sure if this is a good deal or not for a demo vehicle with miles and high money factor.
the standard money factor i have read in this forum is .00521 and residual of 61%.

Thanks

Not sure where you are getting your money factors.. But, those money factors are impossible. And, that isn't the money factor used for your quote

    .00156 MF and 61% residual
The residual is reduced by $0.25/mile..
So, it's around 59%, but just a little higher.

To do a proper calculation, we need the adjusted CAP cost. That is the amount after all additions (acquisition fee, dealer/doc fees, DMV fees) and subtractions (rebates, cap cost reductions).

Thanks...Sorry there was a typo in the money factor...

    540i with 3500 miles
    MSRP - $68500
    Sale Price - $ 56500
    Money Factor - .00196
Adjusted residual for mileage - 59%
    Customer down payment - $1400
    Dealer rebate - $1000
    Acquisition Fee - $925
    Upfront charges - $699
    Total Cap reduction - $1042
    Sales Tax - 6%

    Total Cap Cost = $58124-$1000 = $57124

Dealer is quoting $685/mo with taxes...i am not sure if this is a good deal or not for a demo vehicle with miles and high money factor.

You should be able to do better. Shoot for ~20% discount and push for buyrate MF at 0.00156. You also should not put any downpayment.

With your provided numbers, I get around ~$600 incl. tax though?
