The kid's leaning towards the SEL now. If it were me and my $, Limited all the way. But it's not for me and she's paying for it. I've given the girls my opinion on what to buy, now, it's up to them. I've found that this is the best way. tell them my honest opinion, and then back away. They'll call me once they decide on where and what to get and we'll go from there. I'll even meet them at the dealer so I can drive the sucker home for my kid like I did back in 2009. But that's all I can do. When I bought my VW, I just did it, didn't need to get an approval from anyone. Same for her when she bought her Audi, her car, her money...her choice. That's how we roll here. We're both lucky enough to each have had $ left to us, from her folks and from my dad, so we don't feel the need to ask. Makes things so much easier basically.

I really need to stay off the leasing app (the reason I also never visit leasehacker!). Nice dark blue over sand (lovely color combo) Mazda CX9 grand touring. $44K sticker, $418 DAS/$418 per month. Not that I need something that big, but it is still a strong deal. Lot of car for that money. heck, a $32K CX5 is about $350/month.
Speaking of BMWs I test drove this several weeks back when I was in Cleveland for work. I didn't feel like sitting around at the hotel so my buddy with the 6 speed '13 TL picked me up and we headed over. The dealer was quiet and the salesman was great. Took a 30 minute test drive that was a mix of highway and back roads.
What I really like so much is how I can relax and drive around in Comfort mode when I feel like it- or turn the steering, suspension, and drivetrain up to 11 by switching it into Sport or Sport+. It's the closest thing to a dual-purpose car I've ever owned, and it even has a usable rear seat and decent trunk space.

Hi guys: Long-time lurker, infrequent poster. I don't know if my punch will count towards the annual list Corvette compiles, but I recently took delivery of a 2019 Cadillac XTS Luxury. Pearl White over Sahara Beige.
I was waffling between a used CT6 or this particular car. With the incentives and dealer discount, along with the trade allowance, it made this car the one! So far I'm enjoying the heck out of it. What a nice ride. I just wish it would clear up so I can get it cleaned up.
M240 is a relative steal. At that price point the smiles-to-dollars ratio is quite good.
It would be a contender to replace the Prelude but that would require getting very creative with the other 2 cars. And I have no idea what's replacing the Acura yet.

This is why I’d like to find a ZHP. I think I’d get similar satisfaction, I am well versed in the platform, and probably fewer speeding tickets.

Congrats! I saw the identical car in those colors on the road here recently and with the appearance updates they did last year it really caught my eye. It's a shame they stopped making those. It was the one model that appealed to the traditional Caddy customer.

Did the circumstances that led you to sell the Viggen change?
I see some prices on used CT6 that look like fine bargains - depreciation that would make German cars wince. Maybe a good used deal, that's the Caddy I like most.
I notice that M240i lacks the rare turn signal option package, like most similar Audi
Quick question, are the taxes on a new vehicle calculated after all the fees are added in like the dealer fee and the tag fee? My wife and kid are at the dealer and she's trying to find out exactly what the taxes are figured on. Not having much luck googling this stuff. Thanks all. Looks like a new car punch is going to happen very soon.

Nice looking, smooth car with great color combo....congrats!
yeah, it varies state by state, but it is all built into the software. You don't get taxed on government issued items. Dealer fees are part of the cost, and customer incentives are taxed.
Looks like the Hyundai Accent is going to be the winner as the new addition to or stable. Now, just have to make the deal, which should happen either tomorrow or Sunday.
Bad news, they'e totaled my kid's 2008 Hyundai Accent with just 40,769 miles on it. After her $400 deductible is taken out, Metlife wants to send her a check for $4053. Have already asked Q what he thinks and wondering, is this amount something that is negotiable? My kid's unhappy but best to just let it go. I see a new 2020 Hyundai Accent in her future!! Going down tomorrow morning to take her plates off and get her personal stuff out. Glad I'm off tomorrow. Also plan to take some pics of the damage. It's not that much from what Metlife said but, the car is over 11 years old. At what point is enough enough? No, it's definitely time to replace it. The guy who hit here just moved up her time frame! Stinks never the less!
Sandy, a car that old has almost no value in the insurance company’s eyes regardless of mileage. My 2009 PT Cruiser with 46k miles was only worth a few thousand when I checked last year.
If the damage is fixable you might want to buy it back from the insurance company and have a neighborhood shop patch it up enough to sell on Craigslist. Cheap transportation is in high demand there.

I would rather use carplay so standard Navi should be fine for when I just want to see the map on the screen. I have no clue what "professional" navi adds, but that does sound very BMW to offer it!
the M Sport is not important to us, and I would have to listen to both audio systems to see if there was enough difference to matter to the wife. As long as it has her XM I doubt she would notice the upgrade.
other than that had all the important features.
They did have one with M Sport and a bunch of other stuff, but no pictures or price yet.
and the real oddball around here, a black over black (yuck) S drive. real low options too I think. Not much more than a moonroof and maybe heated seats. That was pretty cheap. 2019, I think around 18K miles, for $29,995. I am sure the price will get people to look at it.
I don't think I could find a new in stock S drive if I searched every dealer within 50 miles.
Thought they had a deal on a 2020 Hyundai Accent with door edge guards and a free oil change but they left without signing what I thought was a good deal. Today, she wants to try a Chevy Sonic turbo sedan, an LT, and not the Premier model I'd prefer. So, looks like I'm trucking down to Miami again soon to meet the girls at the Chevy store. Unfortunately, the kid is so confused right now so she's stuck in her tracks. Guess my wife needs me to come down and get the job done. Wish she'd look at the Venue or even an Encore, but she wants a sedan, period. Personally, either of these two will be fine for her as it's just an appliance in her mind. She don't care about alloy wheels or the audio system, two things that are a deal breaker for me. But hey, all I can do now is get her into something so we can back to our lives. This hour drive down to Kendall is starting to get annoying. She don't get it that I drive so much at work that on my free time, last place I want to be is in Miami traffic. As the natives say, "mucho traffico"! If you've ever been to Miami, you'll understand. Not as bad as L A, but folks drive like nuts and using your turn signal encourages those in the lane you want to get into to speed up on ya. Totally annoying!! So, today, we're buying something!!

It is incredibly aggravating. I was actually moving around much better yesterday. Enough so that, while my wife was out shopping, I thought "let me go get the mail." On my way down the front path, I noticed our inflatable Santa was tilted. One of the retaining ropes had come untied. Ok, easy enough, fixed. Then as I stepped back onto the path, another retaining rope caught the foot connected to that very knee. OMG. That was brutal. The words that poured forth from my mouth ... anyway, luckily I had my cell. Called my eldest in the house to bring out my crutches. A good deal of swelling (not that it wasn't swollen before) has since returned. I'd say, after first injury, it was maybe 33% larger than normal, went down to about 15% or so, and now back up to 25%.

I would love to order one and pick it up at the SC factory. It is less than 2hrs from here.
I would love that too, getting exactly what I want. And a fun experience. The problem is, you have to pay the full boat price on it, and be $10K in the hole by the time you cross the NC border on the way home!
I think the Accent is the better ride.... she should at least try the little utes. Encore is a nice little vehicle.
I agree. after such good luck with the old one, and wanting to keep it for a long time (10 year warranty), why switch to a Chevy that is covered for a lot shorter time, and is not really as nice or good of a car? Especially for a person that just considers it an appliance.
