Hi, my 3yr lease is about up on my 2017 Golf Alltrack. I only put 20k miles on the car. Can I use that as leverage to reduce the cost (downpayment and/or monthly) of a new lease for the the 2020 model? Thanks.

Probably not.

I had a leased Jetta where I only put 16K onto it - the market value was several thousand less than the contract residual value.

I bought a 2020 GOLF TSI, 6-speed Manual, prior to July 1, for 0% at 72 months. Supposedly that financing expired on 07/01. It was a very good deal that had been on the lot since Feb. Given the miles on it, I was the only one to have driven it.

can't recall off hand but only difference between years/trims is the driver assistance pkg is standard in the 2020?

Given the difference in residual value between the Golf TSI and Golf GTI, anyone have thoughts on the head to head value in comparing leases? ~$4k higher selling price, but +4-7 percentage points on the residual.

Any thoughts?

Both are great, just asking about relative lease value. If money weren't a thing, I'd go GTI, but certainly don't need the upgrade.
