Dealers pushing back on MF and RV

Hi
I am using MF and RV that I got in this forum and contacting dealers to lease a new MB 2024 GLE. The problem is dealers are not agreeing to that MF and asking for a deposit and submitting an application to MB Finance before agreeing on MF or even on lease details. I was thinking of negotiating everything upfront but they say it is hard to find final lease term until you submit applications and run a check on credit. Is that true? Am I on the wrong path to get the number before heading to a dealership? Please help. M

    Dealers don't like to disclose (or agree to) a money factor, if they can help it. They'll come up with all sorts of reasons why. Generally, it's because they want to mark it up for more profit.

    Might have to shop a different brand.

    Is it true that one has to give a deposit and run a credit check to get an MF number or it is readily available to the salesman but they are hiding or trying to hide? I am still seeing discounts, so though the car is new and I have less leverage but still believe something is possible.

    It's readily available to the finance manager. Of course, they'd rather not disclose the MF, because then you'd know if they are marking it up.

    Any request for a deposit is only coming from them. Of course, they can't actually write up a lease contract without running your credit and confirming your tier, but they can certainly quote you top tier rates, if you tell them that's where you qualify.

    Thank you Sir. This was exactly my question. I will keep trying and maybe...maybe find someone...or I will give up eventually. Let's see...At this point seems like they are not going to budge.

    Yeah, when the salesman says: We can't do this, without this. He's being told that is the case. If they won't do it, they won't do it. They aren't really looking for informed customers
