    I am trading in my current leased Sorento for a new lease. The dealer is telling me that the $1,580 trade-in value that is being applied to my new lease is taxed as a down payment and is subject to sale/use tax of $47.82 and $130.46 down payment tax. Is this accurate? I am in PA. Thanks in advance.

    Any monies put down - whether it's cash or trade equity - will be taxed.

    But, I would check with a second dealer to confirm.

    AWD versions of EX, SX and SX Prestige.
