$52,400 MSRP
$41,000 final sale price with incentives, fees and taxes

$1,650 down, 389/mo (includes sales tax of 7.75%?) for 36mo/ 15k miles yr.

In my calculations the money factor is not 0.00001, but more like 0.000579/ 1.39% as there seems there is about an extra $1,300 in the deal.

Are my numbers right?

If so, you have to determine how and where it's allocated.
If the first payment comes out of the $1650 and the rest is CAP reduction, and you are correct on the sales tax, this quote looks about right at the base MF.

Also, I don't know your local sales tax rate.

It will, however, be reflected in whatever selling price you're offered.

For example, if the MSRP is $50K, and they are offering you a selling price of $47K, then they are keeping $1200 of the incentive, which they are allowed to do.

Negotiate accordingly, now that you know about it.

Thank you. Does the $7500 lease credit come back to the dealer? I'm trying to understand if what i offered is fair. For example, a local dealer offers $56000 and shows a dealer discount of $5600. It then shows dealer cash of $5000 (purchase) for a sale price of $45,400. As i understand it, the dealer will get the $45,400 + $5000 dealer cash of $50,400. I know this is a purchase but purchasing or leasing the car is sold regardless - it just changes who owns it.

My lease offer was the same dollars to the dealer. $56000 MSRP less dealer discount of $5600 and then discounting $11,700 for tax and dealer cash. Adj sale price of $38,700. If the dealer gets the full $11,700, then the dollars to the dealer are the same if the $11,700 + $38,700 = $50,400.

Am i totally off base?

The incentives for a purchase are different than those for a lease.

Purchase incentives include $5000 retail bonus and $3500 dealer cash.

The $5000 or $7500 incentive is applied like a down payment, not deducted from the selling price.
