You're welcome, jsyaruss. I would be more than happy to answer any questions that you have about leasing this car, however it would be best if we talk about them over in the "Lease Questions - Ask Here" discussion.
Hello hyperlucid. I am sorry to say that General Motors is not currently provising any sort of Instant Value Certificates or dealer cash on the 2005 Chevrolet Express Van.
Hey jazzman. Honda did indeed increase its dealer cash incentives on the 2005 Accord again this month. In May, dealers can earn up to $900 on '05 Accords. The exact amount of money that they receive depends upon the percentage of their predetermined sales goal that they hit. I suspect that many dealers will not receive more than $400 per Accord through this program.
Jetfan -- wow - thanks so much for the info. You got a great deal... I just posted to the leasing forum asking CarMan's advice about an S60R... I was getting $547.90 for 36 mo -- Price is 35258 for MSRP 43410. Seems like I have a bit more negotiating to do ;-) So, tell me, do you love the car ;-) Thanks again for the info... S
I was able to secure outside financing to take the additional 1k rebate. then GMAC didnt want to lose the business so they financed it at the 5.9% lower rate for the full amount. which saved me $16 a month
Just goes to show everyone that obtaining pre-approval or other financing options puts the consumer in the drivers seat .. pun intented
Yes jsyaruss. I do love the car. Put a couple of hundred miles on it over the weekend. Fun to drive & the kids even like it. I believe Volvo was offering $6,500.00 if you lease the car outside of Volvo Finance. If the still have that incentive ( I purchased 04/30/05) you should be able to do better than $547.90. Good Luck.
Alright, moment of truth. Advised that I have to order my car this week if I want a 2005. Pretty dead on what I want to offer, but just like to know what is out there on this car. I am ordering the Turbo Lite, with all GT features, but on the limited.
No problem, hyperlucid. You're absolutely right, it always an excellent idea to get pre-approved to finance the car or truck that you are interested in prior to discussing financing with dealers. Good job.
Hey purplebug. Right now DaimlerChrysler is providing 0% financing for up to 3 years, 3.9% for 4 years, or 4.9% for 5 years plus a $1,000 bonus for financing through Chrysler Financial or just $1,000 customer cash on 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Sedan models.
Noticed your deal. I am trying to lease a V70R for the same term (same sticker too ~$43k) with $800 total out of pocket. But I am getting $48 more per month. I know the V70R will be a little more but not $48/month! Would like to know who you are getting your deal from.
I'm trying to decide on a hauler for me, the 2 dogs, and an occasional kayak or bunch of garden stuff. Have lots of GM credits but the Maxx doesn't have enough headroom for the big dog or a roof rack! What rebates, dealer incentives and/or spiffs are being offered on the Focus wagon and the CRV? It's not easy finding a base CRV (LX) but that is what I would be interested in. I have put off buying with the hopes that the deals would improve.
Hi eli1. As usual, Honda is not currently providing any sort of incentives on the CR-V. As far as the 2005 Focus goes, Ford is currently providing 0% financing for up to 4 years, 0.9% for 5 years, and 2.9% for 6 years OR $2,000 customer cash OR 1.9% for up to 3 years, 2.9% for 4 years, and 3.9% for 5 years plus $1,000 customer cash. In addition to these incentives, Ford is offering a free automatic transmission ($815 value) and will match first time buyers' down payments on this car up to $500.
Hello Cysperus. Interestingly, Toyota hasn't been doing much with dealer cash incentives lately. Most of its cash incentives are customer cash. Its exact incentives on the models that you are interested in vary depending upon which one of its twelve regions you are in. If you let me know what state you are in and the exact trim levels of these vehicles that you want I should be able to give you an accurate idea of what their current incentives are like.
HI! WE ARE LOOKING TO BUY A FORD 500 & A FORD EXPEDITION BOTH 2005 YEAR, NEW. WE ARE PURCHASING IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA. IT SEEMS TO ME PURCHASING 2 VEHICLES AT ONE TIME WOULD GENERATE SOME GREAT SAVINGS IN ADDITION TO THE REBATES. WE WENT TO OUR LOCAL DEALER WHOM WE HAVE PURCHASED 4 OTHER FORD VEHICLES FROM PREVIOUSLY. ALL THEY REALLY OFFERED WAS THE REBATES AND OUR A- PLAN WHICH IS BECAUSE I HAVE FAMILY WORKING AT FORD. AM I BEING UNREASONABLE TO THINK WE SHOULD RECEIVE FURTHER DISCOUNTS? ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED AS I HAVE NEVER REALLY BARGAINED WITH THEM MUCH BEFORE. BUT I WANT TO STAND MY GROUND THIS TIME I'M JUST NOT REALLY SURE WHAT MY GROUND IS. THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!
Unfortunately, broncofan, General Motors is not currently providing any dealer cash incentives on the 2005 Chevrolet Suburban. Judging by your user ID, you live in Denver (btw what did you think of that Clarett pick? I guarantee you that he will become a monster behind Denver's magical offensive line. You or I could rush for 1,000 yards behind those guys). In your area, GM is currently providing $3,500 customer cash PLUS $1,000 bonus cash, $4,500 total, on this truck in May. In addition to these incentives, GM is providing an additional $500 bonus cash on models that have been on dealer lots since January 1st or earlier. So if you are able to find a truck that has been around for a while you will be able to get a little better deal on it.
Hi cocoa40. If you are purchasing these vehicles through Ford's supplier or employee purchase programs, dealers are not allowed to give you an additional discount, regardless of how many vehicles you purchase from them. To be honest with you, even if they were allowed to do so they probably wouldn't want to. Dealers don't make tons of money selling vehicles through these programs. Why would they want to sell you two vehicles through them with an additional discount when they could make much more money off of them by selling them to someone else?
I am trying to figure out the residual/money factor on a 2005 Touareg V6 base, no extra options. What would be the residual and money factor on this car (in Jacksonville, FL)? Also, I qualify for a VW Supplier discount, does anyone know how much it is, and how it would impact the current lease deal of $399/month with $1900 down?
Hi adi4runner. I should be able to give you an idea of what Volkswagen's current lease program on the Touareg is like. However, the following discussion is more appropriate for this type of question: "Lease Questions - Ask Here". Please stop by that area and post it. Thanks.
You're welcome, cysperus. In your area, its Gulf States region, Toyota is currently providing 3.9% financing for up to 5 years or $1,000 on all 2005 4Runner V6 models. I am not aware of any dealer cash incentives on this truck in your area at this time.
Anybody know what rebates or incentives ar available for any remaining '04 Mazda6's? I have heard something like 3000.00 rebate, and then another 1000.00 rebate if you finance through mazda, does that sound right? It's what I have heard, but I can't find the info anywhere.
Hi, Carman, I am currently thinking of buying a car from Honda in the coming July or ealry August. I am a college student, and this will be my first new car. The model I am interested in is the Honda Accord VP 4-door sedan with automatic transmission, as it has all the essential equipment that I need. The dealer's invoice price for this trim level is $16200 excluding the destination fee. So according to your experience, do you think Honda will provide any incentive (cashback, or low APR loan, etc.) in July (eg., Independence Day) or early August on this model? Or when will be a better time for me to buy it (from now)? And what is the possible price that I could get it then? BTW, I am currently living in Allentown, PA, 18103. Many many thanks.
Hi yangnon. Given the fact that Honda is currently providing low finance rates and dealer cash on the 2005 Accord now, I definitely think that it will have a decent level of incentives available on it in July and August. Generally speaking, the later in the model year it is, the higher the incentives are on vehicles. The market for Accords is very soft right now. As a result, consumers have been getting them at or below invoice after the dealer cash incentives are taken into account. I suspect that you will be able to purchase the car that you are interested in at or below invoice in July as well.
We're considering the Quest van, and are wondering if the $2K rebate will get better after the expiration date of May 31. Based on past experience, could you give us your prediction? I guess we can buy the car on May 31 and have the dealer set it up in a way that we can take the higher rebate on June 1. But I'd rather not take the risk. Thanks!
I have read twice recently about an additional / seperate kick-back or incentive to a GM dealer when a car is sold within a 10 day period of it landing on the Dealer's Lot.
Is this true? If so, exactly how does it work?
Thanks, - Ray Looking at a Grand Prix GXP that arrived on Tuesday . . .
Current GM customer incentives for the Yukon XL Denali add up to $4K in the Northeast. Given the current state of the SUV market, I'm trying to get a sense as to how aggressive GM dealer incentives are. I plan to buy this car over the next couple of weeks and would like to know what other dealer incentives GM may be providing. Is that reflected in the Edmund's TMV price or should I use that as a ceiling to what I should be looking to pay? Your feedback is much appreciated. Also, these forums are a huge help in educating us consumers - Thank you!
Hi Carman - I'm interested in a Passat Wagon, mainly a GL or GLS TDI, but am also looking at the non-diesel GL or GLS. Are there incentives for those models? Would a leftover new 2004 qualify for the incentives? My current dealer is selling a 2004 at invoice +$1, which may not be a deal. What do you think? Thanks in advance - this is such a great service you provide! Kathy
Hi tamu2002. Nissan's customer cash on the 2005 Quest has been at $2,000 since it significantly enhanced its support on it in March. It is difficult to say whether Nissan's customer cash on this car will increase in June. I am sure that Nissan dealers themselves don't even know what will happen with this van's incentives next month yet. If I had to make an educated guess, I personally would say that it will probably remain at two grand next month, but again there is no guarantee that this will be the case.
Hello Ray. I am fairly in tune with GM's incentives and I have never heard about any sort of additional cash that is available on vehicles that are sold quickly. On the contrary, GM actually has additional bonus cash on vehicles that have been on dealer lots for a long time (since January 1st or earlier) to help dealers unload their leftover vehicles.
Greetings ajk. General Motors is not providing any dealer incentives that I am aware of on the 2005 GMC Yukon XL. The only offer that I am aware of on this truck, other than the $4,000 that you mentioned in your post, is an additional $1,000 bonus cash on '05 Yukon XLs that have ben on dealer lots since January 1st or earlier.
Hey Kathy. On non-diesel Passats, Volkswagen is currently offering 1.9% financing for up to 4 years and 2.9% for 5 years and on diesel Passats is it offering 2.9% for up to 4 years and 3.9% for 5 years. Given the fact that VW is currently providing $2,000 dealer cash on the 2005 Passat Wagon GL and GLS non-diesel and $500 on equivalent diesel models, you should be able to get a very good deal on one. In my opinion, dealer invoice is too much to pay for a leftover 2004 Passat when you could purchase a 2005 model for around the same price.
I've been quoted 3500 worth of rebates and incentives. My lease doesn't run out till June 23. Wondering if I should sit tight until next month in hopes of even more money or just make the deal now.
I am considering buying a 2005 Toyota Matrix and I live in Florida. Could you offer any insight as to what sort of rebates will be available come July? The local dealers are presently offering a $500 rebate.
Hi mgz2400. While it is difficult to predict what automakers will do with their future incentives programs with 100% accuracy, I personally would be very surprised if Saab's incentives on the 2005 9-3 dropped in June. As a result, I really don't think that you have anything to lose by waiting another couple of weeks to finalize your deal. Doing so will prevent you from paying for two leases at the same time and who knows, Saab's incentives on the 9-3 may even increase.
Hi redfrog2. I suspect that neither the Toyota dealers in your area or Toyota itself even knows what the incentives will be like on the 2005 Matrix in July at this time. How generous the incentives are on this model will depend upon what the auto market is like in general at that time, as well as how strong the specific demand for the Matrix is and what the supply of this model is like on dealer lots. I can tell you that vehicles' incentives generally increase as the model year progresses. As a result, it is reasonably safe to assume that the incentives on the 2005 Toyota Matrix in the Southeast region will be at least as attractive as the $500 customer cash or 1.9% financing for up to 3 years, 2.9% for 4 years, or 3.9% for 5 years that are available on it in May.
Hi ncdriver1. Mazda is not currently offering any customer cash or special financing rates on the 2005 Mazda3. It does have a special lease program on this car in May though. Also, all Mazda dealers have the ability to qualify for up to $500 dealer cash per vehicle if they hit certain monthly sales goals.
Hi beeper29x. I am not aware of any Web site that gives consumers access to historical incentive programs. What exactly are you trying to find out? If you let me know I may be able to help you out.
Hyundai's line of cars. I wanting to buy a Tucson and wondering if I need to get the deal done this weekend or is a better rebate going to come around. This past month was the first time they had a rebate for the Tucson.
