Call it clean... Oh, it's Minnesota miles.
Thanks
1) 1996 Toyota 4Runner Base 2WD Automatic
Color: Desert Dune (Silvery tan)
Miles: 76,000
Condition: Outside Average/Fair - some paint scratches, a dent in rear bumper about baseball sized (thanks to a neighbor)
Inside - Nice, clean, no fry invasions
Mechanical - Due for 75,000 mile service, perhaps in need of some brake work
2) 2002 Subaru TS Sport Wagon Automatic
Color: Dark Blue
Miles: 9,900
Condition: Outside - Good, except for a 2 inch ding in front left fender that maybe a paintless repair guy could fix
Inside - Nice, clean, no fry invasions
Mechanical - No problems
Thanks for the help!
They bought the Bimmer at the Atlanta auction on 9/24, it had 7,199 miles on it, they paid $25,0 for it .. so figure the time they got it home with transport, service, detail, warranty, they probably have close to $27,0 in it ... the reason why I looked this particular one up is, it's so damn cheap, most super clean low milers are doing "around" $28ish, besides I bought some vehicles there that day .l.o.l...
I recommend that you have this one looked at *REAL CLOSE*, maybe paint work, maybe a little tango at the K-Mart, maybe a little interior transplant .. Or ~ maybe nothing at all, seems awful cheap when everyone else is paying $28,0++ for the same miles and vehicle, but even a blind squirrel can find a nut ... if all checks out with a "qualified" Bimmer dealer then take a go at it .... it's a small world, ain't it ..?
I hope this helps ...

Down Retail Rd, ultra nice detail, super duper 5 liner Ad in the biggest paper, asking $13,900 and send it to a nice new home for $12,5/$13,5 - warranty will be a great help on the private side, no help on the trade side .. I don't think you would get much help here in Florida, we have plenty of them ..

About 20/30% of BB's are truly legit, the real problem is 70/80% of the BB's are due to customers that can't make their payments, they fell outa of love with it, they had too much to drink and hit a tree and had $3,500 worth of work done and now it's worth $7,000 less on a trade and all of a sudden the power roof won't open or close on Tuesdays and Sundays between 8pm and 11pm, Or, they spoke with their neighbor that has a sister and she knows a guy that use to sell cars in Richmond and he told her blah blah, etc, ... there's a whole potpourri of things that go on that folks will never admit to ...
But anyway, if I knew more I could tell ya more ....

Miles are kinda ok for the year, color is right, 2wd, needs a this and a that, probably not a bad little dude with a bath and some service, the 2wd doesn't help it .. trade side, in and around the $4's ..
No miles on the Subu, auto, color is kinda blah, it's a wagon .. trade side, in and around the $12's ...
Let me know on this one ..
Terry.

If all is well, no kisses, no terrorists attacks, no Earl Sheib, then I would think that $31ish would be a little more in the zipcode .. remember, if everyone else is paying $28ish, by the time they get it home they will have close to $30,0 in it, then it becomes a $34ish retail vehicle ~ I dunno, but it sure has my interest ... good luck ...!

My boss just sold the following:
1999 Ford F250 V10 4x4 4-door Short Bed
Black/Tan
Lariat (All options)
109k hard miles
Worn interior
Exterior had lots of dings and scratches
Had new tires
Fender had been replaced where he shot it with a shotgun, tailgate has been redone too
Sold it for $15k...I thought that was low...
In other news, I'm already tired of my TT...I'm lookin at the Infiniti FX45 Market seems flooded, Infiniti is holding the new 2004s at the port so the 2003s can clear out. These taking a beating at the auctions yet?
2001 330i Silver, Gray guts, slider, harmon/kardon stereo pack, sport pack, auto, 35K mi. in New Orleans it was at a Chevy dlr. and he thinks they didn't know what they had...he got it for 24,200.
How did he do? Seems like a home-run to me.
99 volvo XC, 61000K Miles, Sandstone Metallic, Taupe Leather, CD, Power Driver/passenger seat, tires 50%, no smoke, no kids. Colorado
Trade Value? $13K?, $14K? 15K?
TIA
This is weird, especially since the 2001s+ aren't all that great. The '96-'00 were special indeed, at least to my thinking, and they do command high prices in the real world.
I think with a lot of the newer ones, people owe a ton of money on them. In part because if they could afford more, they'd buy more, so a lot of folks are right at the edge. This doesn't make the car worth any more, but it may mean the deal just can't be done.
Get a new Corolla S for a little over $13, is what I'm thinking...

1995 Lexus GS300 Touring Edition
148,000 miles
Gold two-tone exterior/tan leather interior
Roof, touring ed. wheels, leather, cd changer, NO heated seats, roof, automatic climate, dual power seats.
Car has new tires, recent timing belt, cold AC, runs like a dream with no known problems other than a passenger window that takes it's time rolling up.
Exterior wise it is in good shape. A few minor scratches and a slight "ehh" on the front bumper where it looks like an exhaust pipe punctured it.
Thanks in advance.
That should be 03's .... they rest of the stuff is right .. l.o.l...
03's .. 03's ..... 03's ....
not 02's ...
slap me Jesus ...

Who's the builder ..? .. how long is the stretch .... ? .. what's the options ...?? .. where is this dude .......? .. condition ..?
Yeeeeow ..........!!!!!! .. wheres that bottle at .... ?
Terry.
Sold it for $15k...I thought that was low... <<..
shot it with a shotgun .... ??
Who's your boss ..? Ted Nugent ..? .. Wow, I wouldn't want to throw him a three in a poker game ... has he been to any classes for anger management .. ?
I would have no Idea what a V10, 4x4 CCab might be worth with 100k and the "shotgun option" would even be worth -- I think he got a great deal, a super deal, he sounds like a really nice guy, a great deal, Just Super ........
But anyway, back to the Infiniti stuff .. "03" FX45's, loaded up with 2/4/6k are doing in and around that $43,0 range, that doesn't include the "shotgun" option, those go for a whole lot more .....

Mathias is right, the Honda prices are waay out of line and the "books" seem to pump them up to LA LA Land .... the funny part is, extra nice, extra clean Civics and Accords are only doing "about" average at trade time/auction, there is plenty of them around, they go through the auctions like #*&@ through a Goose .. loaded, super nice auto 01 LX's with 10/12k are only doing "about" the ultra high $9's and the 02's "about" a ghee whiz more ...
So what can you ask/get for them ..? most dealers purchase them as "switch" vehicles .. guy comes in lookin' to be at $250 a month on a Honda, and they "switch" them to a 01/02 and they can still make a profit and not lose the customer .. private sellers asking big $$ can't move them cuz' the vast majority of the buyers are "payment" buyers, not car buyers -
Also when you have the price all Zoned out as a private seller, then the potential buyer winks, nods their head and goes down the road .. then the private sellers get frustrated, their ego get's in the way and after 2/4wks they just trade it ... $13/$14 ..? maybe in Greenland in January ~ $11,5/$12,0.? maybe with no miles, 4drs, auto, all the stuff and a coupon for a freebee at Hooters ...
Terry.
I thought it was funny, I was rolling on the floor laughing for 2 minutes straight. Maybe I need to get out more
Thinking of doing a trade-in against a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi within a few weeks.
Dodge Dakota Sport club cab
4.7 V8 Automatic 4x4
22k miles
towing package
grille guard
bed liner
tonnaeu cover
sliding rear window
power everything
alloy rims
Body and paint are in immaculate condition (black paint, if that changes anything), however there is a small 1/2-inch sratch on the driver side club cab portion of the vehicle. I'm guessing all the extras I've added on my own don't really count towards the trade-in value, but here they are just in case...
Custom dual exhaust with 2" chrome tips
tinted windows
chipped engine
cold-air intake system
throttle body spacer
custom sound system
alarm
...all in all, a good $7k in extras and it sounds like a beast.
Any help is appreciated, and thanks again for reading. I'm in the Seattle, WA area.

It's a 4dr, 4wd, has most of the options, should be an easy sell in Denver (snow in the mountains, brrr) .. if it's a nice one, you should be seeing in and around that mid $5's, maybe the $6,0 figure ... you should be able to trade for your vehicle and "about" $1,500 for the Yota ....
To touch on the Nada, KBB , Edmunds thing .. the are a "guide", a "ballpark", a "zipcode" of what a vehicle should sell for and what a vehicle should see on a trade .. neither of them are accurate because of time frames, market changes, stuff like that .. if you look at KBB right now on 4x4 00 Burbs, they show like $19,000 for an "asking" price to sell them, but you can't find a clean one anywhere in the country for less than $20,000 for a trade/auction and they sell for $24++ .. I check em' all the time, it depends on the day, the model and barometric pressure, if you read the Civic post you can get a better idea ....
Sorry for the wait ...
Terry.
I'm still working on the "tilt" thing, now were throwing in math .. ? could take me days ..
Terry ;-)
Even though it's a wagon, (they Are popular right now) it's clean and the miles are almost low, $17,5 is about right on a trade, there is Bunches of Passats for sale, perhaps not today in your area, but they are out there from Denver to Baltimore .. the biggest problem is it's a 03, and you have to compete with the new ones and all the rest of the market .. could "might" be worth $18,0 and some change, but I think the dealer hit it right .. remember, it has to go up for sale somewhere, what can you "ask" for it on Retail Rd .? maybe $20,900 (that's a tuff price range) .. ? and you might see $18,5/$19,500 .. tuff to sell.
Terry.
Yeppers, $10,900 in the paper and say bye bye at $9,5/$10,5, I bet this won't last long with a Great Ad, a super detail and make sure you park your ego at the door ....
Terry.

trim level?
Any insight into trade in values of say a bmw x5 3.0 straight six vs 4.4 V8 - I'm wondering if the extra cost of the bigger engine is worth it at trade in time.
Thanks for the info on the e320 4 matic - my wife can't make up her mind what she wants to replace it with.
Thanks in advance,
Mark
