On the Pathy vs the Focus wagon. While the Focus may be good on gas I have heard and seen first hand horror stories on Focus reliability. I also believe you/she is in Chicago I would go for the Pathy. It is more reliable larger and should resell faster than a focus even when it has 100k on it.
Hi, I am in Indiana. I would like a trade-in and private sale estimate for: 1999 Audi A4 2.8 Sedan Quattro 77k miles Black exterior/tan interior leather, heated seats, alloy wheels, moonroof Interior condition is excellent Exterior condition is decent, but has 3 dings and various scratches Tires have 20k on them needs brakes in 2-5k no other damage Thanks, John
==================================
Hey John .. did I read somewhere this is an automatic.? because it is one now ...
99 Audi 2.8 Quattro *auto*, leather, cold pack, 77k, slider, color is fine for the area, a few little kisses here and there, it's a Flintstones car - it needs new stoppers .....
If ~ .. no paint work, no Bonnie and Clyde interior, no Swirlomatic car washes and the service is 110% .. then trade side, in and around the super tall $7's low low $8's, might "could" maybe find a dealer to waddle towards the tall $8's if it's super nice, super clean, glows in the dark and needs -0- ... if not, start deducting ........
Just want to ask you what should I expect to receive for my 2004 Honda Odyssey? I am trying to trade-in for new 2004 Ex-L, but getting wide variations in prices. Tallahassee, FL 2004 Honda Odyssey 800 miles Silver with Grey Leather Excellent Condition Typical EX Options with Mudguard for front and rear Still have that new car smell !! Trade Value? Sell It Myself Value? Thanks!
============================
What about me.? - what about me.? .. you remind me of my last wife .....
1.) whats your pay-off.?
2.) why are you trading.?
Ok Mr. Nervous .... it's an 04 Ody EX-L with 800 little bitty miles, great color for Florida ..... well, if it's "showroom" and you didn't do $7,000 worth of damage when it had 400 miles on it, ya know: "clean to the bone" ... then trade side, in and around the $21ish figure, "maybe" might find a dealer that will drop the mid $21 figure, could even see someone travel towards the $22ish figure .. no miles, right color ........... what are they offering.?
Down Retail Rd: a Big Fat Daddy Ad and $25,900 *asking* and grab the first $24,5/$24,9 ...............
Last wife? How many you have gone through? Just kidding.
I am sorry to be in rush, but kind a getting anxious to get rid of this before I start putting miles on it.
I have wife who is always in rush, so I guess I have bit that rubbing on me.
I bought this originally to please wife, and you know the same old story. I am not so happy with it compare to new model.
No, this one has no damage, garage kept and hardly driven at all.
The best offer I got from the dealer is $23,500, but the difference between both 2004 EX-L and 2005 EX-L was about $7000.
I owe about $23,000 on it.
I am going to Tampa tommorrow to volume dealer who refused to put price on my van without seeing it, but kept insisting that he will meet my $4000 difference in trade. I am not sure if I want to drive down there to get disappointed.
Anyone in Tampa area has experience dealing with HondaLand?
I have ran the add in NewsPaper today, and see if there is any bite.
Thanks again for all your help, and Love this forum.
........ All I can say is: $23,500 is ALL the money, ALL the peso's .... if you can get that or more, then you need to be getting to church early this Sunday ...
What you need to be lookin' at is the DIFFERENCE .... your in Very Good shape as far as pay-off is concerned.
The only Difference - that makes a Difference .. *IS* the Difference ..... anything else is a mute point ...
"I bought this originally to please wife, and you know the same old story. I am not so happy with it compare to new model." Don't I know it. Hope you'll be happy with the new model. What's her name?
Sorry couldn't resist. :-) Trading an almost new car is an expensive proposition... it's just a lot less expensive with an Odyssey than, say, a Town&Country. Count your blessings, and hope you pay tax on the difference... -Mathias
Hi: I am new to the forum and find it very helpful. I am considering purchasing a 2001 VW GLX Passat in the Louisville, KY area and it has: 49,980 miles, moonroof, cdplayer, anthricite (ext)/grey (int) color, leather, 4dr, V6, automatic. Looks to be in very good condition and is certified. What would be a good price for this car? The dealer is asking $16,975, states he can play with a "few hundred $$" but has had it for 90 days and will take it to auction tomorrow.
I was thinking around $16,000 or is that too much?
Looking for advice on the value of a couple of cars, one I'm trading and one I'm looking at buying. This is in Fort Collins, CO, 60mi north of Denver.
First is my 1991 VW Jetta GLI for trade or sale: 130K miles 4-door sedan, Black ext/Grey int 2.0l 16V-engine 5spd manual Recaro seats (standard eqpt on that model-wish I could take them with me :-) BBS Alloy wheels (also std) Sunroof Power windows, mirrors & locks Cruise control Aftermarket CD player A/C (needs a recharge) Full-size spare, set of snows on steel rims, & car cover included
I'm the original owner, car has been well maintained with regular oil changes and all records kept. It's in very good shape, almost new tires, upholstery and carpet almost perfect, paint still shiny but a few cosmetic flaws (a few small dents/dings, drooping headliner, cracked trim pieces). Mechanically, it runs great. Online price guides are all over the place on a car this age. I did get one offer at a used dealer for $1400. I realize this may be a "you have to see it" case, but take a shot.
The car I'm looking at buying is a 2001 Saab 9-5 wagon: 33K mi 4-dr wagon, Black ext/tan leather int 2.3l low-pressure turbo (base engine) 4spd auto tranny Saab Certified Pre-Owned
Car is pristine as far as I can tell; no major work done to it under warantee. Edmunds, KBB and NADA differ on the wholesale price by $2500(!) but the average is about $15.5K. Add about $1200 for CPO warantee and you're up to $16.7; asking price is $19,590. It's been on their lot for well over a month and they've dropped the price a couple times already. Where should I start my bargaining from?
how much is a reasonable price for this? the asking is 22500, this is in bayarea, ca.

......... In the land of the Vikings we have a silver 02 (4 Dr.?) EX V6, color is good anywhere, miles are ok and we have some "stuff" thats showing ...
Deep sneakers, service is all there, it's gotta be worth in and around the high $14's, low $15's, if it needs stuff start deducting ....
Traded it in yesterday with 45k (good condition, service is all there). I got 15k for it towards a trade in for a Pilot (which was ~$1100 over the invoice).
Yep - 2005 Pilot EX-L. I also think I did pretty good. I didn't think they would offer that much ... in any case it was really nice to have an idea of what to expect which is what Terry helps with.
All I can say is, you guys must have "money to burn". You can do a lot with $7K.......other than enrich a car dealer to trade for a (very) slightly newer model. Maybe if you had bought some weird piece of junk that was breaking down or something, it would make sense. The yuppie economy, it's mind boggling......
>>The best offer I got from the dealer is $23,500, but the difference between both 2004 EX-L and 2005 EX-L was about $7000.

Sorry to post again but I'm going on Monday to get a Tahoe and was hoping to hear something before then and I work all weekend so getting on here is difficult.
Looking for the trade in value of my 2003 Ford F150 San Diego, Ca 2003 Ford F-150 4dr supercab short bed 2wd 5.4l gas auto tranny 14,700 miles White Mulit disc CD player, A/C, power windows, doors, mirrors, drivers seat, sliding rear window, privacy glass, bed liner, tow package, alloy wheels excellent condition
Terry, I need the expected trade-in for the following vehicle. Thanks again for the great service you provide! Location: Charlotte, NC Vehicle: 2001 BMW X5 3.0 (non-sport model) Engine: 6 cyl (3.2) automatic trans Driveline: AWD Mileage: 42000 (under full BMW original warranty until 55,000 miles or 12/2005) Color: Burgandy ext, Beige int Major options: Sunroof, Xenons, leather, CD (in-dash), dual climate (and rear climate). Condition: Tires - 50% wear Brakes - brand new Exterior - excellent (no dings or dents) Interior - very good (small discoloration on one seat (size of half dollar), some black marks on carpet in back) Other: All service performed by BMW dealer. Second owner. Non-smoker car. The NADA trade-in is $29,000 and the high-end black book value appears to be $26000. Is it reasonable to expect a trade-in between these values based on the above?
=============================
Lets see here, in Charlotte, nice area ....... we have a non sport 01 X5 3.0, auto, AWD, 42 klicks, maroon with tan leather guts, slider, blinders, hot and cold running air and new stoppers -- the miles aren't bad for the year, color is kinda ho-hum, you say the service is 100% and no smoke ... if we have no repaint and no funny stuff, then trade side you should be seeing in and around the ultra high $24's, low/mid $25,0 range ......
The NADA trade-in is $29,000.? ... They're doing $25/$26 at the auctions all day long with 30/40k .. NADA is a "retail" *asking* info source, they are not very accurate when it comes to trade-in values .. $29,0 trade-in..?? .. a dealer might drop $25ish into this dude, do a detail do a service, do a this and that, CPO, then *ask* $29,999/$30,900 - but he would take $28,5 in a heartbeat ............
Hi Terry, The wife and I are about to buy an 03 Tahoe wanted your opinion. The vehicle has the following: 03 Chevy Tahoe LS 4WD 22500 PW Windows/Locks/Mirrors 3rd row seat rear air am/fm/cassette/single cd player roof rack power driver's seat The asking price is $31998 but after looking at edmunds and kbb we want to stay in the 25K range. Is $25000 to low a price to offer for the vehicle?
==============================
In the land of Aaarnold ... we have an 03 LS AWD 23k Tahoe, we have the 3rd seat, rear breeze, tunes ..... 5.3 LITRE.?
$31,900 is the asking price.?? .. where is this dude, Argentina.? ... $25/$26 would be a fair price and $27,0 if you just can't live without it ......... $31,900 ?!? are you sure it's not a 04 ..?
It's an 03 there's a link if you would like to see it. Not sure if we can put links on here so if you'd like to see the vehicle give me a buzz.
25K seems reasonable to me. Just saw on edmunds that Tahoes have 0.0% financing and now thinking about a new one. We've decided that 550 - 600 a month is reasonable payments so now I'm undecided again. lol
whenever i try to decide what i should get, new vs. used etc., i use the "three-year-questions".
I.e. where will you be 3 years out, making the same kind of payments? You'll either "almost own" an '03 Tahoe worth ~$xxx, or you will owe, what, $18k or so on an '05 Tahoe that is worth a bunch more.
Since they are pretty much the same car, ask yourself what situation you'd rather be in. I find that often helps to make a decision, and if it's a wash, you can always flip a coin.
When the coin is in the air, I usually know which side I *want* to come up :-)

2003 Acura TL Type-S Less than 8000 miles in Southern NJ. 3 years 42,000 miles remain on the factory warranty. This car is absolutely in perfect condition. The only blemish is one rim had a little run in with a curb the first week I had it. It left a nice scrape, but didn't hit hard enough to effect the suspension. These only come loaded except for the navigation system, which it does not have. White Pearl with beige interior. Spoiler Wood grain steering wheel
====================================
Sold today for $23,100. I only paid $27,000 for it new, so I didn't do too badly. I thought I could do better, but not that many calls, and only two people came out to look at it in two weeks. I thought about letting them walk, because I knew they wanted the car, but like they say, "A bird in the hand..." Today was the last day of my ad and I just didn't want to go through the hassle for another week or two. I think the prices softened up a little over the past few weeks and this time of year is a killer. Waiting until the spring probably would be no better due to the added depreciation. The buyers are paying cash (cashiers check), but still a hassle to transfer ownership. No wonder people accept taking a beating from dealer transactions. Keeping the car in showroom condition, everyday, is lot of work too.
Terry - can you give me an idea of what this would bring on a trade in. 94 BMW 325i w/85,000 miles. All on Long Island, NY Black with black leather interior Sunroof New single CD player with aux input Tires – about 10,000 miles on them New Computer (don’t ask) about 5,000 miles ago Rebuilt tranny (Aamoco) with 5,000 miles on it Interior is in v. good shape – no wear marks or blemishes on the inside and the cushions are very firm. Exterior – The car was seriously rear-ended once (its on Carfax). A few dinks, but otherwise the paint and body are in good condition. Both fog lights are gone. Air Conditioning – slow leak, probably needs to be replaced Temparture controls – The car is either hot or cold. Since the computer was replaced there does’t seem to be an in-between. Brakes – one or more of the rotors is warped. You can tell at low speeds, but its really noticeable at high speeds. Otherwise everything is clean and is in good shape. Many thanks in advance!
==================================
Very good description, thanks.! .. well, we have a major meteorite hit to the transom, we have the stoppers going sideways, the eyeballs are MIA, rebuilt tranny, the air and controls are coughing up blood .. other than that, it's like brand new.
Without actually seeing this gem, depending on the dealer, it sounds like $3,0/$3,5ish on the trade side, the miles save this one, hopefully ...
Terry, A little feedback here. The post above was from 2 months ago. I just went to trade the bimmer in yesterday in the same condition (going after an Accord EX-L) and got a quote from a local Honda dealer (Long Island, NY) for the trade of $3500!
I want to purchase an 05 Odyssey EXL-RES and would like to trade in a 00 Saturn LS2. I live in Southern Jersey but could easily drive to Northern Jersey or Philadelphia area.
Here's a description: 2000 LS2 - Original owner 6 cyl 4 door ABS Automatic Silver outside, gray leather inside Heated front seats Power drivers side Power moonroof, windows, locks Alarm AM/FM/Cassette/CD Traction control Fog lights 51700 miles Good condition - no dings, dents, etc. Nothing a good detailing wont clean Tires, brakes and battery replaced in 04 Oil changes every 3k
KBB, Edmunds, and NADA are reflecting trade in values of approx 6200, 7000, and 7700 (not necessarily in that order) for good condition. I had a dealer offer 4800 and was going to try to come up to 5500. One dealer did offer the 5500.
When looking at the car for sale at dealers, cars with less options and more mileage are going for $9-10K+.
Any help you can give is appreciated. I have for sale signs in it and its listed on cars.com and smartcars.com. KBB shows private party value of $8800 so I'm listing it at 8500.
I would appreciate your advice on the trade in and private party price for a 2002 BMW 330I non sports package. Located in the greenville, SC area, 4dr sedan RWD Inline 6 3.0 Black exterior with the natural brown interior (all black except for seating areas which are a dark tan - montana leather I think it is called) Leather seats, power drivers and passengers seats, sunroof, heated seats, rear folding seats, xenon head lights, CD with HK sound system, Automatic - tiptronic, 35,800 miles Interior condition is like new - no marks, scratches, rips or stains, Exterior - no dings, dents, a few stone chips in the front and a small scratch or two on the trunk lid. No curb rash on the wheels. All maintenance perform on time by BMW dealership. Warranty till 7/2006 or 50K miles Full maintenance till 7/2006 or 50K miles Needs new tires - fronts about 30% backs 10% No accidents, no repaint Would I be better off to replace the tires if I am trading it in or would I recover the $600 or so it will cost to replace them? How about on a private sell; should I discount the cost of the tires in the price and let the new buyer pick out his own tires or replace them before I try to sell the car?
___I just read back some 300 pages of this thread and it took me “3 whole gol darn days” in terms you might understand ;-) You have provided the most excellent RW TIV service to Edmunds and its readers I only hope you can continue with the replies far out into the future.
**25K seems reasonable to me. Just saw on edmunds that Tahoes have 0.0% financing and now thinking about a new one.** ...
Food for thought and something to ponder ....
0% is a wonderful thing -but- .... I probably sell 10/12 vehicles a month to the Ford employee's and haven't used the "A" plan in almost a year ... (example only) they have the option to purchase a brand new Town Car with an MSRP of almost $50,0, so after you deduct the big rebates, their program, the holdback etc, they are looking to spend "around" $36ish plus the ttl at 0% ... or, they can purchase a pre-owned with 3/5k and spend $29ish plus the ttl, at - lets say 4.5% ... the difference is around $7,500 with the tax, but the vehicles are worth exactly the same as they both roll over the curb .... so which is the better deal.?
........ $23,100 ...? .. anytime you get into the: "could of - should of - might of" deal, then your going backwards ....
Thats $1,100 you didn't have when you left the dealer last month .. if your not happy with it, then mail it too me, I need a new Plasma TV ...................... ;^}

"Lets just say": it's puuurffect, super service, clean Carsmack, deep sneakers, no paint work, glows in the dark, needs -0- and the CPO .....
$16,900..?!? .. can you speak Portuguese.? - because thats a great price if you live in Brazil ..... a fair price for both would be $14,5/$14,9ish .. if they "threaten" to take it to the auction, then let em', because they won't see a dime more than $13,0 -- just make sure you do all this in a nice way, because bad words never make for a good deal .............

Sad to say I was just quoted 8k for my baby, but you were right on the schnoz so I must live with it. Do you see any advantage of going to an audi dealer to get a better trade-in?
I need some information for one of my "full-service" accounting clients.
This sweet middle aged lady has a 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 2WD, leather, V8 and pretty much all other options one can buy without getting the Limited. It has 18K miles. I think it is gold with tan interior. She tells me it is in good condition and it has been properly maintained. I have not seen it in person, and she is completely blind, so we have no info on dings or scratches. She has various helpers who drive her short distances to the grocery store, etc., hence the small mileage.
She is looking to buy a 2001 Lexus RX300 with 2wd, white with tan interior, pretty much all options except naviagtion or the super expensive stereo. It has 40K miles. It is certified at a Lexus dealer.
The dealer is saying $10,000 for the Jeep and $26,900 for the Lexus. This was the bottom line after negotiation.

2004 Toyota XLE Limited VIN = 5TDZA22C44S089212 9500 miles, full balance of all warranty Blue exterior, grey leather interior. Does not seem to have any other option packages other than standard goodies (JBL, HID, Sunroof). No DVD player unfortunately. Located near Tampa, FL.

Did as I said I'd do, ran one sort of local ad in a weekly chain for $9750/OBO. Not a ring or a peep in two weeks. Decided to get serious and put it in the big daily for $9000. Got a call 8:15am the first morning it was in print on Thursday, guy came to look at it over the weekend, after a little roundy-roundy, we settled on your bullseye of $8500. Swapping cash and title tomorrow. He's happy, I'm ambivalent, but money in the pocket and clears a driveway spot.
I asked for a trade in value over a year ago on this SUV, but never did trade it in. We are now ready to trade it in for a minivan.

Just a word of encouragement to those of you getting values -
It SURE is nice to get updates once a deal has been done - Terry gives an awful lot of people numbers, and I bet it's a lot more gratifying when folks report back on how they did - especially if they got the deal they were looking for!

I am in Indiana. I would like a trade-in and private sale estimate for:
1999 Audi A4 2.8 Sedan Quattro

What's her name?
Sorry couldn't resist. :-)
Trading an almost new car is an expensive proposition... it's just a lot less expensive with an Odyssey than, say, a Town&Country. Count your blessings, and hope you pay tax on the difference...

I am new to the forum and find it very helpful.
Thanks for your assistance.
First is my 1991 VW Jetta GLI for trade or sale:
130K miles
4-door sedan, Black ext/Grey int
2.0l 16V-engine
5spd manual
Recaro seats (standard eqpt on that model-wish I could take them with me :-)
BBS Alloy wheels (also std)
Sunroof
Power windows, mirrors & locks
Cruise control
Aftermarket CD player
A/C (needs a recharge)
Full-size spare, set of snows on steel rims, & car cover included
I'm the original owner, car has been well maintained with regular oil changes and all records kept. It's in very good shape, almost new tires, upholstery and carpet almost perfect, paint still shiny but a few cosmetic flaws (a few small dents/dings, drooping headliner, cracked trim pieces). Mechanically, it runs great. Online price guides are all over the place on a car this age. I did get one offer at a used dealer for $1400. I realize this may be a "you have to see it" case, but take a shot.
The car I'm looking at buying is a 2001 Saab 9-5 wagon:
33K mi
4-dr wagon, Black ext/tan leather int
2.3l low-pressure turbo (base engine)
4spd auto tranny
Saab Certified Pre-Owned
Car is pristine as far as I can tell; no major work done to it under warantee. Edmunds, KBB and NADA differ on the wholesale price by $2500(!) but the average is about $15.5K. Add about $1200 for CPO warantee and you're up to $16.7; asking price is $19,590. It's been on their lot for well over a month and they've dropped the price a couple times already. Where should I start my bargaining from?
Thanks for the advice.

Terry.
===========================================
Traded it in yesterday with 45k (good condition, service is all there). I got 15k for it towards a trade in for a Pilot (which was ~$1100 over the invoice).
Thank you very much for your help!
Did you trade on a 2005 Pilot? Sounds like you did great!
>>I am going to Tampa tommorrow to volume dealer who kept insisting that he will meet my $4000 difference in trade.
Thanks in advance

I need the expected trade-in for the following vehicle. Thanks again for the great service you provide!
Location: Charlotte, NC
Vehicle: 2001 BMW X5 3.0 (non-sport model)
Engine: 6 cyl (3.2) automatic trans
Driveline: AWD
Mileage: 42000 (under full BMW original warranty until 55,000 miles or 12/2005)
Color: Burgandy ext, Beige int
Major options: Sunroof, Xenons, leather, CD (in-dash), dual climate (and rear climate).
Condition:
Tires - 50% wear
Brakes - brand new
Exterior - excellent (no dings or dents)
Interior - very good (small discoloration on one seat (size of half dollar), some black marks on carpet in back)
Other: All service performed by BMW dealer. Second owner. Non-smoker car.
The NADA trade-in is $29,000 and the high-end black book value appears to be $26000. Is it reasonable to expect a trade-in between these values based on the above?
=============================
Terry.
The wife and I are about to buy an 03 Tahoe wanted your opinion. The vehicle has the following:
03 Chevy Tahoe LS
4WD
22500
PW Windows/Locks/Mirrors
3rd row seat
rear air
am/fm/cassette/single cd player
roof rack
power driver's seat
The asking price is $31998 but after looking at edmunds and kbb we want to stay in the 25K range. Is $25000 to low a price to offer for the vehicle?
==============================
Terry.
It's an 03 there's a link if you would like to see it. Not sure if we can put links on here so if you'd like to see the vehicle give me a buzz.
25K seems reasonable to me. Just saw on edmunds that Tahoes have 0.0% financing and now thinking about a new one. We've decided that 550 - 600 a month is reasonable payments so now I'm undecided again. lol
I.e. where will you be 3 years out, making the same kind of payments?
You'll either "almost own" an '03 Tahoe worth ~$xxx, or you will owe, what, $18k or so on an '05 Tahoe that is worth a bunch more.
Since they are pretty much the same car, ask yourself what situation you'd rather be in. I find that often helps to make a decision, and if it's a wash, you can always flip a coin.
When the coin is in the air, I usually know which side I *want* to come up :-)

Always happy to spend other people's money.
Less than 8000 miles in Southern NJ.

94 BMW 325i w/85,000 miles. All on Long Island, NY
Black with black leather interior
Sunroof
New single CD player with aux input
Tires – about 10,000 miles on them
New Computer (don’t ask) about 5,000 miles ago
Rebuilt tranny (Aamoco) with 5,000 miles on it
Interior is in v. good shape – no wear marks or blemishes on the inside and the cushions are very firm.
Exterior – The car was seriously rear-ended once (its on Carfax). A few dinks, but otherwise the paint and body are in good condition. Both fog lights are gone.
Air Conditioning – slow leak, probably needs to be replaced
Temparture controls – The car is either hot or cold. Since the computer was replaced there does’t seem to be an in-between.
Brakes – one or more of the rotors is warped. You can tell at low speeds, but its really noticeable at high speeds.
Otherwise everything is clean and is in good shape.
Many thanks in advance!
==================================
Terry,
A little feedback here. The post above was from 2 months ago. I just went to trade the bimmer in yesterday in the same condition (going after an Accord EX-L) and got a quote from a local Honda dealer (Long Island, NY) for the trade of $3500!
Thanks for the info!

Tires, brakes and battery replaced in 04

KBB, Edmunds, and NADA are reflecting trade in values of approx 6200, 7000, and 7700 (not necessarily in that order) for good condition. I had a dealer offer 4800 and was going to try to come up to 5500. One dealer did offer the 5500.
When looking at the car for sale at dealers, cars with less options and more mileage are going for $9-10K+.
Any help you can give is appreciated. I have for sale signs in it and its listed on cars.com and smartcars.com. KBB shows private party value of $8800 so I'm listing it at 8500.
Thanks,
Stacey

Would I be better off to replace the tires if I am trading it in or would I recover the $600 or so it will cost to replace them? How about on a private sell; should I discount the cost of the tires in the price and let the new buyer pick out his own tires or replace them before I try to sell the car?
Thanks in advance for you help.

Terry
Well thank you, it's much appreciated ...

Are they being fair to this nice lady?

Did as I said I'd do, ran one sort of local ad in a weekly chain for $9750/OBO. Not a ring or a peep in two weeks. Decided to get serious and put it in the big daily for $9000. Got a call 8:15am the first morning it was in print on Thursday, guy came to look at it over the weekend, after a little roundy-roundy, we settled on your bullseye of $8500. Swapping cash and title tomorrow. He's happy, I'm ambivalent, but money in the pocket and clears a driveway spot.

It SURE is nice to get updates once a deal has been done - Terry gives an awful lot of people numbers, and I bet it's a lot more gratifying when folks report back on how they did - especially if they got the deal they were looking for!
