This is one of my favorite cars. I paid $250 for it in 1981 and it had 81k. I sold it later for around $500. I put less than $100 into it. A decent return for a poor college student. It was a 65 Cutlass with factory buckets, tach, ps, pb, am, 330 4bbl, single exhaust. It was smooth, quick, fuel miser it wasn't.

One service per decade seems reasonable

He must have misread the service manual and though it said every 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first

What's going on with the G35?

It blew a sensor. His wife blew a gasket and is now taking a master class from MRS @jmonroe1 on table chasing.

Did you try unplugging it and then plugging it in again?

My son said, "You should rig a vacuum up for that. Just take a milk jug, cut a hole for a 1/2" line in the upper side of it, then run a length of 1/2" tubing in there and seal it off around the entrance point. Take the shop vac hose and seal it to the jug's opening. Now, when you turn on your vacuum, it will suck through the 1/2" hose. Use that to suck up the fluids, and when they reach the jug, they'll fall to the bottom of it and prevent anything from getting back to the shop vac."

I thought about it for a moment, decided it was brilliant, and went back to mopping up the mess with my rag.

Toyota is already dipping its toes into the subscription shenanigans with the Toyota Connect stuff. They have various packages you can select from, generally free for the first year. I have the safety connect and the one that gives you cellular remote start on the Tundra. Here's the kicker: the conventional remote start, which is operated by the key fob communicating directly with the truck, says it is only complimentary for the first ten years of the vehicle's life. I guess they either send out a signal to disable it or it is programmed to shut down at that time unless you pay them more $$$?
