Like our old friend Terry said, asking prices are just exercising your first amendment rights!

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
I often mention with pride how the car I bought for my son in 2020 still sells for about what we paid back then.I would agree, and I compared what buyers were asking for a 2014 Camry. They are asking $13000 for 2014 Camrys, with mileage between 80000 and 120000.Just for the fun of it I tried checking the price of the 2014 C250, 48000 miles on it. It is pretty good, just enter the VIN number and up pops a picture of my car......they even have the right color though I think all of the Sport models were red.In my experience, the online offers are rarely decent for a non-mainstream vehicle. It's a good way to quickly divest one's self of a Camry, Elantra, CR-V, etc., but not great if you've got a vehicle they're not sure if they can sell in a week. Every once in awhile, I check the value/offer for my Soul. It's often only a few grand below what I paid for it in 2020 - but then again, I bought at the bottom of the market, right before used car prices soared.
Anyway, they'll give me $7,010 for a car that looks brand new and runs perfectly fine.
To get a decent used car with less than 50000 miles on it I'll probably have to spend $20k or $25k to buy it. I think I'll stick with what I have got!
Our 2014 MB C250 with 48000 miles on it I can't find, but ones with 70000 to 80000 are asking $12000.
The Toyota would be more reliable, but, I'd take the MB any time over boring.
The thing is they'll sell a Toyota, Honda, Hyundai a lot faster than the much less popular car, and mileage isn't much of a factor.

Making Grandpa proud! It was completely his idea to clean up his Mustang.————————————————
He's going to be 3 in a few weeks.
Lucky guy. Enjoy these days before he’s old enough to drive your Mustang. My youngest grandchild (a girl, the only girl out of 5 grandkids) got her permit a couple months ago. It’s been said that time flies but it flies at the speed of lights when your a grandparent.
Enjoy.

I knew it would happen if I used it to go skiing. Tire is fine and I’m sure it can be fixed - I’ll wait til summer for that.
It wasn’t new the moment you drove it off the lot. It just wasn’t “tainted” yet. 😎.
If it has black wheels, this is a good time to switch to silver (or vice versa)😂

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
I meet a new friend today. I have entertained you regarding my dislike of the demons, sorry I mean squirrels, that haunt my property. We'll I was working from home today and my desk is right infront of a window overlooking my backyard. We'll if you look out that window and to the right a little you will see a tree that has a nice big squirrels nest in it about wondow height.
We'll as I was working this morning I caught something out of the corner of my eye and looked up. There was this big hawk flying into the tree and landed right on the nest. He immediately stuck his head onto the nest and three squirrels immediately jumped out. And I mean they jumped they were airborne leaving the nest. It was like someone set off an explosion that ejected them.
Here is a picture of my new friend, I call him hawk and I hope he comes back.

————————————————I wonder how many and often those switches need replacing because coffee, cola, or other liquids have been splashed on them. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Is that exterior color Old Man Grey? I dig it other than that... and this:Speaking of Macans, I found myself staring at this ad for a while the other day.
https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/link/398786214
To paraphrase part a recent viral video that I probably can't repost here: "I think I know a lot more about driving Porsches even than a lot of of the engineers do. I look around and see all the beautiful lights and switches. Nobody knows what they do. They said flip that one and maybe this one, I said, let's flip all the switches, buuuuuut, nobody listened."
That interior wouldn’t bother me one bit. Who said you must have liquids in your car? I have never had liquids in my cars. The last time there were solids in my cars is when my sons were toddlers and they had Cheerios in the back seat. Mrs. j used to ask me why I had to be so strict. I told her, “because I clean the car but when you allow the kids to eat and drink on your couches (fat chance of that happening), I MIGHT reconsider.
The day they start installing tables in cars, I MIGHT reconsider that too.
It was an automatic with my cars and my sons understood it right from the beginning…no eating or drinking in the car. Worked like a charm.
A funny thing about that:
When Son #1 was in Little League, the local Dairy Queen was the team sponsor so we stopped at Dairy Queen quite often after games. They didn’t pay for it but a lot of the parents liked to support them, plus everyone likes ice cream on a warm Summer night. Anyway, one night the parents of the kid up the street asked me if I could take their son home because they wanted to go to the mall before it closed. No problem. We always had our treats at the outside tables. When we got up from the table to head to the car, I wasn’t paying attention to the neighbor kid but Son #1 was. He said to the kid, “hold it, you can’t get in the car with your milkshake”. The kid said, “what”? So my Son explained the rule to him and said, “either throw it away or we can sit down again so you can finish it”. We sat down again. Like I said it worked all the time.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Smoking would never happen. Try that and you would be left on the side of the road.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
Stick your head underneath if you want to know. If it was me, I would shrug my shoulders and ask “what’s a cat?”
