I keep getting some ridiculous numbers from the dealer. The first payment they came back at was over $575!! They are hiding money somewhere but I couldnt tell from looking at the math they showed me. I am trading in a lease and told them I want payoff of the 2012 Passat and the 2014 CC Sport for Under 30k agreed upon price. If I got the car for 29,900 with the numbers you showed me, my payments should be way less, even with 0 down from what I see.

I got a lease offer like this: 2014 CC sport PZEV 6AT, 36 month, 10000 mile/year, 0 downpay, 367 + tax monthly pay. Money factor is 0.00037 and residual is 51%. Is it a good deal?

Looks like the $4250 of lease cash is reflected in your selling price.
However, when I plug in the rest of your numbers (MF and residual) I get a pre-tax payment of around $339. With 9% tax, the total payment comes to $369.
Dealer gave me the following deal on a 2014 VW CC R-Line with 6 speed Manual Transmission (36 months / 12K Per year)
MSRP $34,960.00
Discount $6,026.00
Adjusted Price: $28,934.00
Doc Fee $75.00
Tax: $1009.42 (tax rate is 8.375%)
Net Price: $30,205.92
With only first month and DMV out of pocket ($553) monthly payment is $378.00 (for 35 months) which is inclusive of tax. Good deal?
Seems too high for, espcecially that there is $4,250 in dealer cash. There were members back in Oct who leased the CC with lightening package for $270 all inclusive. (given there was $5K in dealer cash at the time)

It seems those deals back in October were on the 2013 model. A friend of mine leased a 2013 CC with stick in January, for 36mo, 15K/yr, and his payment was $325/mo, with only 1st payment due at signing... (a lower MSRP than your example, though).
That payment looks pretty good on a 2014 model.. Add in the $595 for acquisition fee, and I get $378/mo., as well.. (.00037 MF and 51% residual)
Thanks for the reply kyfdx, but even though that was on a 2013 model, there is a big difference from $270 to $378 ($108 a month diff). That model was $1K cheaper in MSRP (Sport with Lighting Package), but the residual back then was 47% (given there was $5K in incentives) and the residual now is 51% with $4,250 in incentives. Maybe fireghter and pebbles are failing to disclose some numbers. Hopefully, they could chime in. if thats the case, and these numbers are accurate, I will look at BMW, Acura and Audi.
Hi and thanks for this great forum. I'm looking to lease a 2014 R-Line with automatic transmission. Is the 4,250 incentive a dealer contribution or a VW rebate? The dealer that I spoke to acted as if he was the one giving me the discount. Also, I see that there are two different prices for the 2014 CC. The base MSRP for the R-Line 6 speed AM with prod. End 1/14 is 34,125 and there is another MSRP of 34,830. What is the difference between these two cars other than the price?

The $4250 is a manufacturer-to-dealer incentive. So, technically, the dealer is giving you the discount, as the selling price is fully negotiable. If you didn't know about the $4250, it would look extremely generous, though..
I'm not certain about your pricing question, but January is prime-time for manufacturers to institute price increases. I would guess that is the only difference between the two.
It's good to know that the 4,250 comes from the manufacturer. The dealer didn't want to reduce any more. In fact, the purchase was 32000 and the MSRP was 36,165 (not even the full 4,250 incentive). 625 acquisition fee, 493 doc fee, 310 DMV and somehow the adjusted cap cost jumped to 34,200. The monthly payments were a whopping 457/mo (0.00037 money factor and 0.51 residual). We just got up and left.
My pricing question has to do with the 2014 cc with production date 1/14. While looking up the Emund's TMV prices, I saw that The cc with production date 1/14 has a slightly lower price than the one produced 9/13. I just wanted to know if the price difference had to do with additional features as there is one version of the 2014 that doesn't have backup camera. The one that I saw was had no backup camera, 9/13 prod. date, and the MSRP on that one is still higher..... Are you able to clarify that?

I'm sorry.. but, I don't know if there are any equipment differences. Given the timing (January), and the amount (about 2%), it looks like your typical mid-year price increase.
Ok i understand now. The pricing difference was a bit confusing.
I would like to lease the cc R-Line with automatic transmission, MSRP 36,165, and I'm looking to pay the taxes and acquisition upfront as I don't want to pay interest on the taxes. Is 300/mo. Realistic for this model?

Let's assume $1500 off MSRP plus the $4250 incentive.. For a selling price of $30,415.
.00037 MF and 51% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr. ($1500 off is approx. invoice price).
Payment = $350/mo.
So... $300 is probably not realistic, even with taxes and fees upfront.
350 sounds better than 457. How much should i expect to pay for acquisition fee? Dealer was asking for 625. Is that negotiable? He also wanted 493 for documentation fee. 493 seems excessive to me.

$625 is the base acquisition fee that goes to VCI. If $493 is just a dealer fee, then that sounds high, but some states have pretty hefty title/license fees (like CA or NJ). It all depends on where that $493 is going.
@ebmat said:
$493 was a dealer doc. fee. NY DMV fee was a separate charge, $310. I have seen a $75 dealer doc fee in previous posts. I guess this varies by dealer.
It also varies by state .. it's my understanding that NY caps the dealer fee at $75 or $80, whereas in states like Florida or Colorado the dealer fees can be as high as $699.
Is there any information available on this month's numbers for 12k miles and 12k for 36 months? I saw a dealer contribution of 5,261 at the vw website.

This car is such a steal on a lease. Better MF and residual than when I leased a year ago and still nearly the same lease cash. I would be shocked if someone couldn't negotiate a sale price well south of invoice before applying the lease cash...
I just don't think the dealer will honor the lease cash with the true car price being that low. What do you think? Trying to get a honest opinion before going to the dealer. Thanks for the help.
