Recently I noticed a high pitch noice coming from the A/C as well, but it only happens when I am accelerating in 1st gear, it sounds like a cat screaming, and then it goes away. From 2nd gear to 5th gear, the noice is very faint, almost like a "finishing tone" that you can only spot at the very end of the engine roar.

I will just leave it as it is unless the situation has become a constant. Let me know if you find something I should be concerned about.

One other thing, the web link to automotive does not work, can someone re-post it please? Thanks.

    dpeabody:

You didn't describe the noise enough for me to really know what you are talking about. If, however, the creak you are hearing comes from the door, near the b-pillar, and occurs typically when accelerating or braking, you may be able to solve it will simply a shot of silicone spray, as shown in a VW technical service bulleting:

Your dealer is correct that VW is bringing Brazil production online. At the moment, it appears that some are still made in Germany. The only way to tell is to look at the VIN number.
