I paid 36,000 + taxes for a fully loaded sienna yesterday. That was after the 1500 rebate. As a promotion they gave me a Magellan GPS as a bonus that is worth 150. They were a pleasure to deal with and I was happy with the price. And I got the 7 year/ 100000 mile platinum warranty for 850. I probably could have done a little better on that afterwards, but the convenience of doing it there was worth a couple of bucks.
I was told via the internet from several dealers the incentives are the same as Jan.'s. I was a little bummed to hear this as I thought the incentives would be better especially with the economy and the massive loss of car sales.
I'm being offered a fully loaded Sienna XLE Ltd AWD w/ 4800 miles for $32K according to the dealer it was driven by one of the managers and not used for test drives. I also have an offer (from a different dealer ) for a brand new 2009 (same specs) for $3000 more. is $3000 enough to make you take a demo vehicle ?
Depends on the condition of the used vehicle. Did the sales manager take excellent care of it? Look at it washed for any blemishes. If it is mint, it may be worth it but usually a vehicle loses a lot more than 3K in value as soon as it's driven off of the lot.
Otherwise, the 35,000 for a truly fully loaded Limited is an excellent deal. Well below invoice and likely not really making any money for the dealer. Is it an off color? Is the offer good for any Limited with the same specs or just a specific car? If they are only making the offer for a specific car on their lot, I would be very suspicious.
Also, check out pricing on a fully loaded XLE. I saved $6000 by forgoing the AWD, auto on wipers, memory seats, laser cruise, and the "Limited" tag. Decide if these options are really worth $6K to you and read some reviews online of the AWD with the run flat tires (the car has no spare).
quote "driven by manager" is a pure lie. How are you going to prove this? This is a demo, and the discount should be much bigger. When it is too good to be true, it is...
That's exactly what my thoughts were, they try to pass the "DEMO" as a new car (because it hasn't been titled) but as far as I 'm concerned it is a "used" low millage car and its price should reflect it. The NEW 2009 LTD AWD includes package #2 DVD, NAV, etc ( I guess not truly fully loaded as it doesn't have the laser cruise and HID lights) and the 35K includes the current 1K rebate but overall I think its a decent price. Thanks for you help
There are about 3-4 sienna's with your options + laser + HID listed at different dealer around me with internet prices at 34800 to 35200 listed on their website. Mind you, I have NOT set foot in any dealership recently.
Friends in upstate NY with demo and your options+laser + HID with 9k paid 29.5k, blizzard white
I have enjoyed this forum for two Seinna purchases and thought I would post my deal even if it isn't the greatest around. All of me communications were via e-mail and were fairly fast.
I bought the Sienna 09 XLE w/ Package #3 with Blizzard Pearl: FE= 50 State Emissions AW= Alloy Wheels LF= Fog Lamps PC= Pearl Color QJ=XLE EVP #3 WO=Sonar Back up RB= Running Boards WL= Wheel Locks CF= Floor Mats/Door Sill Protector
I paid $31,092 then subtract the rebate $912 ($1000 - NY tax) = $30,180. I live in NY but bought in Erie, PA because PA has a rebate this month and NY does not.
Just purchase yesterday and thought I would share my deal as this forum has helped with my last two vehicle purchases, all done through the internet. Knowledge really is power.....
2009 Toyota Sienna XLE FWD 7 Pass Limited - silver shadow pearl w/ stone interior. - dynamic laser cruise control - XLE limited EVP #2 (rear DVD, Nav., JBL) - daytime running lights - power folding third row seats - towing prep - carpet floor mats/door sill protector - rear spoiler
MSRP - $40,285
I paid $500 under invoice $35,465.00. Add southern Ca. sales tax, license fees, other misc. fees for a total of $38,628.55. Subtract the $1500.00 cash rebate. Total financed $37,128.55
* Just on a side note....Toyota has completely shut down production for a short time (economy) so what's on the lot is what the dealers have and won't be getting anything new for a while. I wanted to wait a month or two because I figure the incentives are only going to get sweeter but my soon to be born twin baby's forced me to pull the trigger. Still think I got a pretty good deal and so far really like the van. :shades:
Dealer says this vehicle belonged to the second top executive of Toyota and had been driving it around the country and then decided to fly home from Louisville, KY and left it for the dealership to sell. It has just over 3800 miles on it. AWD, 3.5-Liter V6, Limited 7-passenger, 5-Speed Automatic $37,865 Limited Extra Value Pkg 2 with Options View Details $3,132 Exterior:Black Interior:Taupe Leather Running boards [24] (RB) $599 Rear spoiler [24] (RF) $485 Wheel locks (alloy) [24] (WL) $67 Mudguard [24] (DI03) $73
Dealer said the sticker was 43,126 he then said he would sell it to me for 40,500 then we went around again and came up with 38,750 (41,934 out the door) I still feel this doesn't really take into account that it has 3800 plus miles on the vehicle. My wife and I left at this point because it was getting to be 9 o'clock and my daughter was melting as we continued to speak. Also, my wife hates black and we hate, hate, hate the running boards and would never get them. But in the end if we could get a really good deal we might look the other way on the color and then take the running boards off. What do you guys think. Thanks
He is only knocking off about $2,000 for the car being used. I had an offer for the same car, but new, for $40,800. My advice is to find the car you really want. The deals are out there.
Yes I was thinking the price should be at least 10%-15% off the invoice and subtract the running boards off completely because as I said we hate them and that van sits low enough you don't need them and all you do is end up hitting your shins on them and getting your pant legs dirty.
That's what I was thinking as well. But I think we will pass on the AWD mainly because we don't want to be stuck with Run Flats. My wife sucks up nails like a magnet. On her MDX we got new tires a year ago and they have already had like 4 patches. It would be way to expensive with run flats.
i've been researching vans and just got a price from libertyville toyota (IL) for one with the following options: QH & LF - FWD - the price is $26,797 (plus tax, title, license). that includes the $1250 incentive which ends 3/2. questions- how's that price? looks pretty good from my research. any idea on upcoming incentives? saleswoman said the incentives are getting worse. i'm actually more interested in option QG only (no sunroof) and i'm awaiting a price on that too - thanks so much - this is a great site!
I found one 09 LE EVP#2, al, cf, for $22590.00. May be they will make it 8 passenger for the same price. Also, 7/75K Platinum warranty for $550.00 at one dealer and $559.00 at another. Doesn't include destination charge 745, TL and Tax. It is in MD
I got a quote in boston area on the 09 Sienna LE AWD with value package #2 for $25908
Here are the options included: Options/Features: FE - Fifty State Emissions QF- LE package #2 Dual power doors RM - Daytime Running Lights CF- Floor Matts
Additional fees: 5% tax $86 new plates or $75 for transfer $299.75 documentation fee
What is the documentation fee? Does it look high? What do you guys think about the quoted price? Thanks!
anyone have any ideas of what, if any incentives may be coming after the $1250 expires on 3/2?? i'm looking at an XLE with option #1, tow prep and mats - i received two quotes: Libertyville IL Toyota $27,101 (also includes alloy wheel locks) Arlington Toyota $26,302
both include the $1250 - i'm not sure if i should go with this or wait till March - any advice?
Greetings. Excellent discussions here. Thanks for keeping it very interactive.
Question: Let's say I have two cars: * A (leased) * B (purchased. Making payments. Not yet paid-off) (They are different makes. Brand shouldn't matter, but just in case ... they are Mercedes and Toyota)
When the lease of A ends, and I wish to purchase it, can I ask them to take "B" off of my hands? Will it work? Will they offer the trade-in amount?
I have a situation where if I purchase "A," the other car becomes redundant in my household. I'd hate to have to sell it in the open market - not enough time in a day!
I'm getting ready for pull the trigger on a new XLE with option #3 this week at invoice + TTL. Dealer is offering a 7/100 extended warranty for $1400. Can I pickup this elsewhere for less? I purchased the extended warranty online for my last Odyssey and saved lots of $$ but after searching this forum, I see a post regarding purchasing from Greenville Toyota but no other specifics.
Any other options for me out there?
There are also some references regarding a website call siennaclub.org but the site does not appear to be valid any longer. Any other site with info for a new Sienna owner?
I purchased an '08 Prius, in Sept '07, and got the extended warranty at 50% of what they asked earlier. I'm in Southern California.
After we'd done talking about the price, and I was "escorted" from the sales office to the financing center, I expressed my interest in three things:
* Extended warranty (that covers battery. I was afraid that it might die on me. My paranoia!) - $1,400 * Prepaid service - $500 (including all oil changes and major services at 15k and 30k miles. Offer valid at the same dealership only) * Bluetooth - $300
(I'm guessing these numbers) I offered 50% of the total, and they agreed right away, making me think there may have been room.
So, offer 30-40%, and wait to see their reaction.
Good luck.
By the way, what deal are you getting? I am also in the market.
Thanks nm_socal . . . .I think at this point I would rather just purchase the warranty over the internet if possible. I have seen other postings that folks have purchased the 7/100 warranty for $945, $1025, and $1050 so if I can find one in that ballpark, I'm OK with that.
The deal offered to me is invoice +TTL - $1500 rebate which looks to be about $300 less the Edmunds TMV.
I think it makes sense to purchase your warranty later right before 3/36 expires. You get it cheaper and you don't have to come with cash now. That's what I'm planning to do - the door mechanism is $2K a pop!
i'm looking at an XLE with option #1, tow prep and mats - i received two quotes: Libertyville IL Toyota $27,101 (also includes alloy wheel locks) Arlington Toyota $26,302
how are these prices - in today's market?
I just read that 3/31 is the end of the fiscal year for Toyota - so maybe new (better?) incentives will be coming???
Can you return the extended warranty for a full refund? That may be an important consideration as well ... what if you change your mind, or your circumstances in three years require a different vehicle.
If you don't end up keeping the car long-term, then you're paying $$$ today for the future owner. Similar to adding options to a car or a house, you cannot recover all your money.
Good question... I actually paid $2K for the "refundable warranty" when I bought my new Sienna and I thought it was a great deal... However, I got my money back the next day since I realized by reading small print that any claim (even the smallest one) would never get you a penny back at the end of the term.
I figured that waiting another 2 years or so and paying well below $1K for the same thing (just not "refundable") makes more sense. I figure the auto door will break within the extended timeframe, probably the AC will go, or at least the crappy Toyota trim will start falling apart like it always does. I'd like to keep the car for a long time.

Did you go for it?
I just got quoted $27000 with all features except TO.
Thoughts?
I am in the Chicagoland area looking for a Sienna.
I got an offer for XLE w VP4 for $26975 as compared to Edmunds TMV price $30000.
Can anyone give me some feedback?
Thanks

Still, it was more likely used as a shuttle bus to get service customers back and forth to the nearest public transportation.
I doubt they'd use a minivan as a manager's car. Think about it.

Sticker 40700.
Purchased for 35200 . minus 100$ travel voucher to pick up the car, + TTL + 150 Documentation fee.

Excellent Customer svc. All deal done on fax/phone. 45 min to pick up the car.
Good Deal I think.
any thoughts.

Very nice people.

How are the running boards attached? When they are removed, are there holes remaining that were drilled into the body?
that includes the $1250 incentive which ends 3/2.
