Crack that whip!
I also found a lot of other great stuff on the websight. You guys do a terrific job of keeping us "novices" informed about our cars.
Every Impala owner would benefit from this forum because it could save them much time and money, as well as finding it very interesting.
Keep up the good work!

Let me know, okay? Or I will have to remove that message for the concern of copyright violations that the Town Hall would be held responsible.

Thanks
Yes, a link to a picture is the same as a link to a website.
Thanks again.

click on accessories on their site, then on wheels in the drop down box, then Chevrolet you will see them mid way down on page 2....they are $86.00 each and include the center cap and 5 lugnuts and an air valve, add $64 shipping on all for and you will have a set of "BRAND NEW in The Box" Rims for around $406.70...Not bad..... Don
Anyway, the tech put a note on the service order to check the dash and today I was told that they removed the dash and "made some adjustments". He said it looks like new again.
I will check it out later today when I go pick it up, but it sounded promising.
The dealership seems really professional compared to my previous one. And they are actually courteous! Threw me for a loop.
Take care!

Don, I didn't know that gmpartsdirect.com existed. It's a great site and the prices for these new rims are great!! I'm pretty sure I will order them. My base has the custom aluminum wheels, but I have always liked the looks of the LS rims better!
I saw the picture of the chrome hubcaps (before being removed) that you are getting for your base. They look great!
Don, I also saw a previous posting of yours in trying to find a part number for the Impala Door Scripts. I didn't look too thouroughly on the parts site you gave, but do you know if these scripts are available there?
Does anyone know the p/n for the scrips in Sandrift?
Thanks again for your help.
John
Maybe we could trade rims.
Anyway there is a major difference between some Impalas and others. It shouldn't be rocket science...I'm starting to think they got a bad batch of rotors. But then why would the replacements be bad too? Several bad batches?
Rotors and pads are 'wear parts' but they should take 50,000+ miles to wear out and not warp.
Sorry to hear about your problems. I guess if your warranty expires and you don't get satisfaction, aftermarket is a decent alternative.

Shows all of the Tech service bulletins for all vehicles (as far as I know). My service manager showed it to me today.

Brett..........
Any information would be most helpful.
Hmmm, looks better, although there is still an eighth inch space above the radio leading me to believe that this is by design... a CD holder! LOL!
Anyway, the service order explained that the dash assembly was removed and the dash was shifted on the clips. Reason for the issue was explained as "dash misaligned".
Looks good and nothing else is up. So far so good. I suppose this could be the 1st of the problems for my 01 LS. I'll take it. Of course, it was repaired under warranty.
Have a good weekend, all.
RR
Drove my '01 LS ~250 miles today after storing it away from the salt/snow for about 8 weeks. It was just like the first time...a real pleasure to re-discover how nice this car is.
My ISS is still clicking/popping and will be replaced/lubed in the spring. If the stubborn dealers around here won't fix it, I will.
Performing a 'net search, I found that the 1994+ Dodge RAM full size pickup was notorious for ISS related problems. Most owners of these trucks that got fed up of replacing the same defective stock part time and time again, finally were able to find a company that made a superior quality aftermarket ISS part for these trucks. Their ISS issues were solved with the new AM part.
Nathan, do you think there is a chance of an aftermarket company outthere that produces ISS that might be fully compatible with our cars?
I think this would be a possibility worth looking into if GM decides to throw the towel on the issue and hose us with the stock ISS long after the warranty expires.
BTW, my dash also looks great and my brakes are working wonderfully. Make sure those nuts are tighten BY HAND WRENCH (NOT AIR IMPACT WRENCH) to 100 pounds feet of torque to specification.
The only real way to make power all the way around , would to be like you said , from the manifolds back , with a custom exaust system ......$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ , If you are willing to possibly lose a little lowend power , then a cat-back is probably just right for you , if you want the look and sound , more than low end power . thanks--------------mattmcdill
It would be wonderful if GM releases a SS Imp in a year or two. Releasing a RWD 4 door car of medium size would really please me.
As 1969 Camaros go here is photo of me sitting in and running the 427 all aluminum engine in a ZL-1 1969 Camaro. It is car #66 of the 69 cars built. A friend of mine owns it. If you want to talk about power..........!!!
FYI to edmunds: My wife took the photo and we own all rights to it.
Tony
over the years we have owned 7 1969, 2- 1968 and 1 - 1967 Camaros. Plain jane cars to SS , RS/SS, Prostreet units. We even had one Camaro on the cover of 2 different magazines in the mid 1980's
A 1967 SS427 Impala, 1970 Impala and the 2000 Imapala too.
I enjoy the various sites you folks find showing GM's concept cars and the possible future redesigns of cars. I do not have lots of net time during the week and I can jump in here and look up various links you folks provide.
Great minds think alike. ((-;

I have had 5. '83 Z28. '84 H.O. Z28, '80 Z28. '85 IROC, and my current '87 IROC.
Yes, I am happy for you and envious all at the same time.
What Camaro and which magazines was it on the cover of. I get all of them. Super Chevy, Hot Rod, etc.
Gotta go. The game is about to start.
Hey Tony, love the mountains in the Background... Westworld? Can't beat that Arizona skyline!
well........cept for me, I never wear shorts.
game?
Tony
It sure was a great game and everyone here around Boston is totally pumped this morning.
Now I'm not a big football fan but do enjoy watching playoffs and the S.B. That game was total sports entertainment yesterday right down to the cliff-hanger miracle ending for the local team. And what a great future Tom Brady has.
GM ought to sign him up to advertise Impalas!!!
Ken
Impalas have been in production since 1959.

Any opinions regarding the possibility of an aftermarket ISS replacement for our cars????
I would just like to thank everyone for all the information in regards to the AMP issue.
GM Canada finally gave in and approved the AMP to be replaced.
I had my amp replaced with the 103 model and they took out that piece of junk 104 amp. And now that Bass is booming, just the way I like it!!
My service rep Robert Lamanes was the BEST!!! He went above and beyond to get my AMP replaced! I guess it didn't hurt either since I had all the messages, notes, and other documentation from this message board.
If any fellow Canucks have had problems getting their amps replaced, I recommend you go to APPLEWOOD Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cadillac in Mississauga, ON. Talk to Robert, and he will hook you up with a new amp!
