Just paid $34,193 including $2,000 incentive for 2007 Touring R&N from "one-price" Walser Honda in Burnsville. Or about $200 over invoice from what I can tell. And that was with zero negotiation so I suppose you could knock a bit more off it if you really wanted to.

While I'm sure the new features of the 2008's will be nice, not worth the $4,000 extra over 2007 ($1,500 price increase (with PAX)and losing the $2,000 incentive plus additional dealer margin that will be required at first for the 2008s) IMHO.
  • 1stlexus1stlexus Member Posts: 12
Wow! How in the world did you pay $32,650 (about $1,300 under INVOICE including the $2k incentive) for a Touring R&N? :confuse:

    Base price :25000
    License+ tag + registration :250

Thanks for the information, does that include the $2,000 discount?
  • barenstambarenstam Member Posts: 6
I just took delivery of a 2007 EX-L with RES and Nav for $29,187.
  • tt300zrcrtt300zrcr Member Posts: 5
yes there is still soem negotiation room on the packages that is where all the markup is

you should be able to score all three for under 300 bucks
  • tt300zrcrtt300zrcr Member Posts: 5
were you there yesterday looking at the minivans in the afternoon i was there yesterday as well

i was trying to get the res + nav unit for around 30202 but they would not come down on the stupid other stuff pro pack and epp and all that jazz
  • odowner07odowner07 Member Posts: 1
You have some room of negotiation. I just picked up my EX without dealer options. Base price is $23,4xx. OTD price $25K. 5% MA sales tax.
  • mfletou1mfletou1 Member Posts: 508
This is way, way under invoice...$28700 is invoice, minus 2k brings you down to 26700...so you got that car for $1700 under invoice.

    Odd. Very, very odd.
  • kaps9934kaps9934 Member Posts: 8
Yes, I was there in the afternoon.

Propack and other stuff (EPP) is just to make more money, my salesperson knew that I have wholesale pricing on all the accessories and it made the difference while negotiating.

    Good luck!!!!
  • kaps9934kaps9934 Member Posts: 8
I am not finding it odd, if you do your due diligence by sending emails and negotiating you can get the price. Definitely you might know that dealers also have hold back from Honda.

One word of advice, as time is passing by; dealers don’t have that many to choose from.

    good luck!!!!

This looks like a wonderful deal. Can you please email me the name of the salesperson you worked with? My email is pankajnawal@hotmail.com .

Yes, dealers have holdback, but he's well, well past holdback.

I just went through these forums, and that's the lowest price anyone has gotten on an EX-L...by far...actually, by nearly $1,000.

So I do think its odd. Now, granted, he's paying for some accessories after that, but the "base" price of $25K on an EX-L INCLUDING freight is easily the lowest anyone has reported.

I mean that's great for him---he got a great deal--but I don't know that its particularly instructive for the rest of us. We aren't going to get that deal.
  • kaps9934kaps9934 Member Posts: 8
Definitely I don’t want to brag on how good deal I got, but isn’t it everybody’s challenge while buying a car to pay as low as possible. Really hate to say how my reporting of the pricing is not informative and is not going to help :confuse:

This forum has helped me so much and certainly I wish and know for fact that ,lot of people will get better deal than what i got.
  • mfletou1mfletou1 Member Posts: 508
Oh, its informative, I only mean that I doubt very much anyone will be able to do any better than that, that's all. Again...if your $25k include freight, then you got your car for $1700 under invoice, which is unprecedented for a Honda Odyssey in any circumstance.

I received a quote of $29,700 for an EX-L with NAV & RES. This includes the $2000 factory discount but excludes TTL.
  • tampahondatampahonda Member Posts: 31
Another dealer offered it to me. So, I took it to my favored dealer in Tampa and they beat it by $100, which included destination charge. It is a great price. I went to the dealership on Sunday, 09/30 at 4pm. I showed them the emial offering from the other dealer, they agreed, but I had to take dealer stock; Nimbus Gray w/ Olive interior. Also, check my previous posts, regarding dealer invoice - 2% holdback - $2k incentive. Just remember, until you sign on the dotted line, YOU are in control of the negotiations; start at the bottom and negotiate up. Best of luck to you.

Could you please tell me the price you got from the Sunnyvale's dealer. Thank you very much!
  • nefariousnefarious Member Posts: 14
Bought an EX-L (no RES or NAV) for $26,749. Does not include TTL. Was quoted a few prices a couple hundred higher and one that was a full $1,100 higher).

    Wife is very, very happy.

Here is the quote I have for EX-L. Please provide your expert opinion..

2007 EX-L Slate Green = 26,495.00 + TT&L. This price does include window tint, wheel locks, all season cargo tray and mud/gravel guards.

Anyone have any indication if whether this $2000 rebate (or whatever it really is) will continue on in November..? :confuse:
  • tt300zrcrtt300zrcr Member Posts: 5
from what i am hearing that rebate is suppose to end on oct31 its not really a rebate but it is delear cash.

its way honda pays its dealers to move out old inventory
  • kgm7561kgm7561 Member Posts: 8
while I dont claim to be an expert.. I wouldn't see how Honda can withdraw this incentive end of Oct.. the inventories of 07 odysseys is just too high wherever I see. In fact dealerships around here are still getting 07 Odysseys into their lots.. No kiddin!

According to the Costco auto buying program, this is the approx breakdown I should be getting from my local dealer in Vancouver, WA -- we'll see this week:

    2007 EX-L (no RES/NAV) invoice: $28,794
    Costco negotiated discount: ($1,500)
    Cash to Dealer incentive: ($2,000)
    Total (less TTL): $25,294
  • mongooseman7mongooseman7 Member Posts: 2
How did you get this breakdown from Costco?
  • letsrip83letsrip83 Member Posts: 12
Well, after some discussion with the dealership and Costco, it appears the additional $2,000 (incentive) has already been taking into account in the Costco discount. So, that would change the pre-TTL price to $27,294 :(

The fleet manager I talked with indicated they received a large shipment, and expect to get more 07's next month, with 08's beginning to come in mid-Nov. He expects the $2k incentive to continue in Nov., and indicated it could 'possibly' increase.

Thanks to all of the great posts. I am about 90% done with my online shopping and will be giving my local dealer the chance to match the price (and save me the drive if I go with the online quote).

EX-L with RES and accessory/appearance package including the wheel locks, splash guards, pin stripe, cargo tray, door and trunk guards. MSRP a little over $33K because of the package.

Price of $26,189 (included $2K off)
Freight/Delivery Fee $590 (older fee saves $35 bucks)
Tax in VA is 3.17% $830.19
    Tags $100
    Processing Fee $299

    TOTAL OTD PRICE $28,010.43.

Using all of the info on the forum, I emailed 22 dealers, received back 14 responses that broke down costs specifically for me. The highest was $4K more than the above. Most came in $1,000 to $1500 higher. I am going to email a few of the close ones back one more time to see what they can do.

So how does $28,010.43 out the door sound for the EX-L with RES and a few accessories thrown in? I'll probably take delivery on Saturday. Thanks! :shades:

How much is TT&L? Excluding sales tax, how much is the final total? Thanks.
  • mfletou1mfletou1 Member Posts: 508
    What dealer(s) were the lowest?

That looks like a very good price. I've emailed around some for a non-RES and the best I've done is about $26.2, including destination.
  • rmcmrmcm Member Posts: 5
I'm not sure if you'll get this message, but please tell me more. Where did you get this and did you have a trade? I've been all over and the absolute best OTD price for an EXL R&N is $29.5 + tt&l.
  • janabjanab Member Posts: 1
I just got an internet quote for $28,999.00 for an '07 Ex-L with RES & NAV. Does not include tt&l.
  • letsrip83letsrip83 Member Posts: 12
You can go to http://www.costcoauto.com to get the invoice price on any vehicle, using the 'Vehicle Research' option (you do not have to be a member).

The dealer's no haggle Costco quote was $1,500 below invoice, and their invoice price matched up pretty close to the invoice price on Costco's website. The actual breakdown is invoice + $500; deduct $2,000 incentive; making it $1,500 below invoice.
  • ironmantkironmantk Member Posts: 10
Hey finally see the 08 are here and look great... now what kind of deals can we make? I looked back to a year ago here and it seems the premium is around $1500 to start with; but by Christmas should be right back to making the good deals. In fact not far from some reported here lately and they thru in a 3.9 finance to boot.

Please let me know if you found a good deal, because I lived in Vancouver too and thinking buying EX-L.
  • egkoregkor Member Posts: 24
Any idea if the Honda incentives will stay or even get better (that is, greater than the current $2000 incentive) after 10/31/07?

We are in process of buying a new '07 EX-L w/RES at a local dealer. I will kick myself if I close the deal on or before 10/31, then on 11/1 find out there are additional incentives.

The risk is, the Odyssey may be sold out from under me if I wait.

I'm getting ready to email a bunch of Honda dealers in my area leveraging a quote I've received using the Costco program. Any opinions if I should "show my cards" and indicate the price quote I got from the dealer, or just indicated I've done my homework and leave off the $$ quote? Thanks.
  • sd_dadsd_dad Member Posts: 34
When you say "they're here," do you mean they're actually arriving at dealerships (and, if so, where?), or just on the Honda website? I haven't heard from any dealers in San Diego that they have any in stock yet, but am eager to buy. Thanks!
  • mfletou1mfletou1 Member Posts: 508
The Costco prices seem high. I've emailed 10 dealers, only one of them was as high as the Costco price. Invoice - the rebate is basically the starting point for dealers, and you should get quotes around there...however most of the dealers I emailed started out offering a few hundred under invoice, AND the $2k rebate.

Learned today that the $2000 cash back incentive IS being extended through November. I learned this by speaking with Rosen Honda who said they had the fax in their hand.

    Price: $26,000
Cargo Tray + Mud Flaps: $255
    Service Fee: $95
    Tax (5.5%): $1,449.25
    Title & License: $123.50
    OTD: $27,922.25

The quote I had for $31,495 Touring didn't include NAV. The lowest quote I have today is $32,687. They initially agreed to $32,419 if I agreed to go to the dealership the same night they offered it. They called me back the next day (today) to say that they needed to raise the price by $268 for the wheel locks and splash guards.
I asked them to take it off, they said no.
I asked them to charge me the same as Honda would for the parts on the Honda website, they said no since those prices didn't include labor.
I asked them to split the cost with me, they said no.
The concluded by saying they're already selling me a loser and would not budge. The unfortunate thing here is that they are the only dealership I can find with the colors I want. The guy I'm dealing with is a total [non-permissible content removed] on the phone and the dealership is a good 50 miles away. For the price, I think I have no choice but to grab it. The color I want is rare enough that I gotta move quick it seems.

    TampaHonda:

Last update - we took delivery of our Black on Black Touring on Friday last week 10/21. Paid 33.9K including dealer fees, plus tax/tag. The salesman drove it to my house and picked up our trade so it was a very easy transaction. I like easy and I don't do dealerships. I posted earlier on this board I had to have the black on black, so it cost me an additional $700, well worth it given my wife's requirements. Somehting for other readers to note:

    * I called and e-mailed at least 15 dealers within 150 miles of Tampa. They all started around 34K + $599 dealer fee. After negotiating I could get about $500 off that, but there wasn't much play room, they were mostly all in the same ballpark. All the internet staff were pretty straightforward. I told them all I'd buy today with the right price and color combo, could write a personal check. Only 2 dealers were willing to go as low as 32.6K + dealer fee and I had to take their stock. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to find my color. Nobody I spoke to had any clue about when the 08's would arrive, and most could not effectively articulate the differences between the 07 and 08 model (easy to find on Honda's website). My wife loves the 07 and we had an 03 EX-L, it's MILES apart, especially since we got the Touring with all available options. Check the rims for the 08 if you are torn, because I like and most agree the 07 rims are better for the touring.

Good luck and happy hunting. It's definitely a good time to buy an Odyssey.
