Reminds me of a funny story - my father-in-law worked in car parts for a lot of years. The chrysler transmission, that was used on the 3L-V6 had a habbit of up and dying - a known problem (happened on my 94 caravan as well). Well this guy he knew created some chemical that when you pour it in would fix the tranny. Problem is no one knew why - and therefore chrysler refused to use it (there's a lot of liability there if it did something nasty as well - they didn't know).
Maybe it's the same thing. They know it works, and you could probably duplicate the thing with some engineering and car skills, but they don't know why, so they come up with this BS infomercial that no one really believes. Who knows?
Fuzzywuzzy - you call it junk - why? Again, I don't know either way, but if I could have proof one way or the other (worked or didn't) I'd be done with it... a $75 mod that would increase mpg and potentially hp is a good and cheap invenstment, but only if it works
I know people who have tried it, & it did nothing. Maybe on a pure stock car, & maybe one that has a big air restriction would it work, & then only a little. Yes I have no facts. Yes it might work on the M. But it wouldn't justify the cost. I could get the same increase in gas milage with a better air filter, or better spark plugs.

sdmike, thanks for the research. I hadn't been saying I thought it worked or not, I just didn't know (and I hate infomercials - they give me a creepy feeling
I've basically been looking for relatively inexpensive and easily installable mods... So far so good...
The pressure from the EPA and others to increase CAFE is intense.
Look at the expense of cutting off a .01cD in the wind tunnel, variable cam timing, tuned intake and exhaust ports etc.
A "mracle" gadget would be snapped up instantly...IF it worked!
New rotors? Pads? or both?
Also go to the Chrysler (US) home page, they have updated there adds and talk about the 300M and 300M Special. (Do I hear every one leaving to get on the Chrysler page?)

I have a device that should save you at least 10% on your gas useage. It is egg-shaped and you mount it under your gas peddle. When you accelerate, you must push just lightly on the accelerator pedal to avoid breaking the egg. If you press too hard the egg will break and you will have a major mess to clean up. You will quickly learn not to accerate too rapidly and will save big bucks on your gas bill. For the lowly price of $69.95 I will supply you with 3 gas saver eggs. And if you order by Friday, I will include 3 more eggs for only $10 more. Please include $9.99 for shipping and handling. Express shipping is only 14.95. Satisfaction guaranteed. Limited supply, so order today!
I did not buy the George Forman Grill (there are soo many now) as I am vegan (thats a vegetarian that doesn't eat dairy or fish eather).
Good luck, and let us know.

If you have a shop you trust, great. Take it there. If not, try your dealer.
sdmike2: not to worry, I am not offended...just janking a chain or two, is all...
Others:..go ahead, make fun of the tool/automotive-challenged....I can take it..hey, I bet if you put the George forman grill UNDER the gas pedal, you mileage DEFINITELY would go up..that thing is huge!
1/2 star dealer sent me my check for $600+ so I can go to my OWN autobody guy to get eMily's sullied passenger doors fixed.... they still owe me a couple of free erl changes.....
Light crowd in the chatroom last night, but was good the 'see' those of youse who were there...
Noo Yawk News.....not blocks away from da Fed, the terorists who blew up the embassy in africa are being sentenced today..hmmmm..wonder what they'll get?...other news: a tanker truck was stolen from a company's lot in Parsippany, NJ loaded with fertilizer...wonder where that went?

Front rotors are a weak item on all US cars. I think resurfacing is a waste of time and money. Go for new rotors.
Also: Be sure the wheel nuts are hand-torqued evenly. Improper torque can cause rotor warping.
I had the front rotors replaced by Chrysler at no charge on both "99 and '01 300Ms.
Good luck.
