"Some people are complaining there that TL-S is not as quick when accelerating past 110mph. Since you have a CL-S which is pretty much the same as TL-S, do you have such impression?"
LOL.... despite my screename, I do not drive this fast. I want to stay around a while longer despite all this terrorism.
"And how does it compare to your 300M in that aspect?"
Never went that fast in Christine either. However, I can tell you that there were/are times when I was getting on I-95 that I did floor Christine and the CL-S. The difference- Christine sounded like the engine was going to fly right through the hood. The CL-S- just like our RIV- quiet, nice little roar and ZOOM, you're gone!
"They also complained that slight braking from triple digits does not feel comfortable as the rear end feels squirrelly. Any experience with that?"
Again, can't help you there either. I would imagine if the car felt "squirrely" that the VSA- vehicle stability assist- would kick in?
Off topic for a second- I know you don't drive on I-95 much, but when you have, have you seen US Flags displayed at overpasses? Here in CT almost every overpass on I-95 has a US Flag on the fence up there both Northbound and Southbound. Fuzzywuzzy- same question.

On October 4th I received an e-mail from Sal that said the Z additive should be out in "45 days". That would make it around November 18-19th?? I can't wait!

Polishes, leather care, tire gloss, clay bar-it's all first rate. I have a 2k bright silver with 5 or 6 coats of Zaino Z-2. The car wash product has a little wax in it and restores the glassy shine. Be sure and follow all directions, especially the advice on what kind of toweling to use.

anyway, from dealer i mean the mats are $40 a piece. so i think its viable that we can go for like $75 for better qualilty, perfect fitting, AND custom embroidered logos. personally i cant get'em cuz i'm gonna have one my mats in the back embroidered with all the companies i've used and the other one with names of ppl who have helped. this will include all of you btw
and cant forget my ghetto yahoo crew
i'm lookin for some paint to take care of it. just that outer lip i wanna chrome or something, i HATE that rust, it just annoys me so much. it might as well as be on my door thats how it feels lol. anyway its just that, that lip get so incredibly hot, but i've seen it done many times over in mags. pick up a lowrider mag, every car has it doen, but whether those cars are daily drivers or even driven at all is the question....
My cousin, and sister were a little worried watching the plastic fly as I was using my dremel to grind down the front fesha. Although I think they are seceretly purchasing DVD movies now, to watch on it.

I think just the front mats would be fine for logoed mats via the 300M Enthusiasts Club. The rears are usually not used as much and therefore don't wear and are not really seen much. If possible, I would like to see heavier plush carpet mats offered by the club with a nice 2-color 300M logo---just the fronts would keep the cost much more reasonable---

Hats look great, I'll order one of the white ones as soon as they are on the page.
Like the idea of floor mats with some 300M logo. Do they make the back mats bigger?
Does anyone know what elements went into the Dual Exhaust on the 2002 300M special. I noticed that Brola is no longer carrying the single pipe system they had and they have not yet put up any other option for the 300M.
p.s. could you post some pics?

Another suggestion for the year 2002: How bout a nice full color calendar with 12 pics of the best M's of our club members---bet we could get them for a reasonable price with a club order of a couple hundred calendars-- featured M's would be those owned by Avalanche, Hemadog, Dubz, 300Michael, Rogor, Fuzzy, Guesswho, Phases and others yet to be mentioned---some photos could be a split showing the exterior and custom interiors--female models next to the M's are optional
I bet this calendar could even be made in-house seeing some of the best graphics designers are amongst our members (DrPixel, Denvern)

Oh, my local grocery store is selling very large RC PT Cruisers (Inferno Red) and VW Bugs (yellow) for only $69 each. They seem to be pretty quick and have full left/right forward/reverse controls. I'm sure for only $69 they're not great quality, but hell, the things are like 30 inches long! I wish they made a 300M.
Thanks. I was just curious. I know the overpasses on I-95 in FL are different then here and not as numerous, but know that there are some. Many are walkways. Just thought that someone would have put up some patriotic message.

PS Even I would be interested in a 300M calendar with members' cars featured- especially sdmike2's!

-- Which only goes to prove that you can take the driver out of the 300M, but you can never take the 300M out of the driver...

YEP! I have often said that I STILL turn and look when a 300M goes by me, especially if it's red and shiny! ;-)) I'm just glad that it's not registered to me. I can still like the looks.

Aren't there walkways near some schools? Maybe I'm dreaming. I know I wasn't in the ghetto.

1. Does anyone know where I could download "Rev's vs HP" & "Rev's vs Torque" curves for our 3.5L? Some Dodge Intrepid R/T sales literature contain rough curves, but they are not for the 3.5L in 300M tune.
2. Are off-the-line acceleration times using Autostick mode faster, or is it just my perception? I have not measured this on a track, but it seems I can get closer to that 6400 rpm (max horsepower) level prior to upshifts if I use AutoStick mode. (I know passing acceleration is better because AutoStick avoids that momentary lag in downshifting when puttin' the hammer down in 'D').
3. When will those hats be available for Club members, Rog? I gotta have one!
Jon
Question #2 Even on "D" mode my M gets above the 6000 rpm line when accelerating hard. If done properly it can be, if not it will worsen times. Of course you can set it in auto stick mode and leave it the the car to over ride it for the shifts.
Question #3 Enquiring minds want to know too.
My vote it is a cut and fold pattern to make a new air box for the 300M. How about adding a deminsion. Is the the box right before the throtle body?

Just wondering why Dieter is not listed as a member----and has anyone contacted him to be a guest of honor at one of our chat sessions?
Looking forward to getting the club caps when issued---nice job sdmike and others responsible for logo design , style, colors, etc... just another reason for non-members to become "made" members of "This Thing of Ours"---- http://www.300mclub.org/

Our Sunday newspaper had a Chrysler insert similar to the ad in the magazine with the products lined up next to each other all in silver, but this time they showed a side view of the Chronus below the other vehicles. Man did it look great from the side. Had only seen it kind of from the front side in the other ad. Got to make that car if they drop the Hemi.
I asked about Dura Lube products last week but no one commented. Has anyone used any of their products and what results?
Traffic had come to a stop on the highway.
I stopped in time.
The Explorer behind me, stopped barely in time.
The Saturn behind the Explorer, didn't.
There must be a bunch of damage under the bumper. The license plate light is buried way in there. The lower trunk lip is bent. My license plate is bent. But all in all, it's not an eyesore. The rubber bumper remolded itself back into shape. But it has scratches on it -- it's better than the old days with Chrome bumpers that wouldn't pop back.
The Explorer and I came out with a lot less damage than the Saturn. They came away with no headlights and a hood in the shape of the letter A.
Fortunately we call came out of it relatively uninjured. Although the passenger in the Explorer was complaining of back pain...

Also, I appreciate the info on tire pressure in order to make ride softer. I am definetly going to check this out.
I have already had my 300m tinted and added a sunroof deflector. The last mod I plan on doing is adding a spoiler and one day more woodgrain.
Thanks for info and I am also considering joining the 300m club--would not mind having embroidered floormats.
Finally, I am from Mississippi and I got my 300m in Jackson, MS for about $7,000 off sticker but I was dealing with some negative equity in my trade so in order for deal to be made, they had to be flexible. Also, it was the last 2001 300m on the lot and they had not got in their 2002 models yet.
sdmike2: NICE hats....nice logo, too! Don't recall the price on these babies, but no self-respecting Mer should be without one! I, too am partial to the black one!
Those of you who remember back to the beginning of this year I had to have my cat Shadow put down. It has been a sad nine months, but recently a white ball of fur has entered into my and Linda's lives and brought some happiness with her.
A stray cat-about 7 months old--whom we were feeding has adopted us, and we found out later on that she was with kittens!
Her name is Angel and is an extremely friendly and affectionate cat. She gave birth to 5 kittens-4 males and one female named (according to the family portrait you can see:
black and white #1-female: Domino, black and white #2-male: Tuxedo, white w/black patch on his head: Toupee, all white male: un-named, Gray and white male: Sebastian). The kittens are three weeks old and all are healthy and have adopted parents waiting for them!
A while back, Easyrider mentioned that maybe in a while we'd find someone to take Shadow's place for he was such a part of our family. Little did we know it would be so soon!
Once she's done nursing the kittens, we'll take her to the vet for an exam, neutering/spaying (?), shots, and whatever else needs to be done. It will be good to have a pet around again!

Hats will be $12.50 for either color. Priority mail shipping will be $3.50 for one hat and $1.50 for each additional hat.
Bottom line, one hat will cost ya' $16 bucks, two hats will cost ya' $30 bucks.
Someone (bigmike5??) mentioned a more generic 300M hat. There is one available, should be at your 5* if they carry apparel. I have one and I'll post a pic if I can remember to take one. It has the 300M badge and the Motor Trend Car of the Year calipers combined into one graphic. I think it cost me around $18.
Glenn--Good thing you do not live close to KY. My wife would be after one of those "fur balls" in a NY minute. Our present two are both tortoise shells and one has only 3 paws. Crushed one paw in a carwash--and no, she wasn't driving thru with a paw out the window of the M. We got her about 2 months ago, after she had the paw amputated to the shoulder and was rehabing. She is incredibly fast on 3 paws and I nicknamed her "velocokat." I'll send you a photo off line.
I'm still waiting on a longer engine breather hose, so I haven't run with it yet, but here it is so far. What do you all think?

Tornado....recently I've been seeing something called a 'Tornado' on one of the infomercial channels in Joisey. Apparently some kind of device that alters the path of air coming into an engine with some sort of 'angled fins' which are within a circular ring. The theory is (keeping in mind I'm no rocket scientist...) that the air coming INTO the engine through the air intake is 'spun' kind of like a vortex and therefore enters the engine faster (?). They had some kind of dyno thing they had the vehicle on. Supposedly the vehicle showed a 20 HP increase. I thought that the 'blades/fins' actually turned but they seem to be stationary.
I know, I know..if it sounds to good, etc. Available for the unbelievable low prive of $75.00?
Okay, turn the flames on...all this after seeing scotian's lexan custom airbox.....
