When you find one that you like, just email him at sjensen@hotmail.com (I think this is right but you may want to check first).
Shirts: Preliminary info only, but the friendly and helpful staff at the Chrysler 300M Enthusiasts Club ( http://www.300mclub.org ) is working on the details of a Club logo golf/polo shirt that will be available for purchase by Club members.
Legal stuff: Our copyright agreements with DaimlerChrysler require us to limit sales of Club logo merchandise to Chrysler 300M Enthusiasts Club members only. We don't have final pricing yet, but we plan to offer a good quality embroidered golf/polo style shirt substantially cheaper than the final bid prices of 300M T-shirts currently being auctioned on EBay.
Stay tuned for details!
DaimlerChrysler AG said Tuesday that the next versions of larger Chryslers would use MB steering systems, axles and transmissions to same money and improve quality (Hooray!) at the unprofitable U.S. unit. The Chrysler 300M, LH and Concorde and the Dodge Intripid will use those parts from Mercedes E-Class cars, said Dieter Zetsche, President and CEO of the Chrysler unit."
any idea on the price of the clock faces?
they are great and hellmary sure would looook nice on that face. LOL...
called chrysler customer service to get this rotor taken care of... as russ mailed me .. i have never heard of rotor's being disposable in my life. heck, i've owned cars that had years and serious miles on them and never had to replace a rotor before... here's this flagship car and it's disposable. 30 thousand bucks later and they tell me disposable..
the customer service said they are sending the file to the local rep and will have them contact me.
any suggestions to say to this person when they call back with the dealership BS about it not being covered under warranty and such?
I checked the chryslercollection and jeepwarehouse sites and looked at the catalogs at the dealers...the only M apparel that DC appears to make right now is the tie...which is just stupid.
Exhaust -
BigRed is currently getting her new lungs at Ed Hanson performance muffler in Spring Valley (outside San Diego). I have taken a couple pictures of Ed's PT Cruiser (as requested) and should be able to post pics of both it and Big Red tonight. I'll let you know how it goes. When I pulled in Ed said "What the hell did you use to shine your car?" He's placing his Zaino order today.
License Plates -
I ordered a personalized license plate the other day... California "BIGREDM"
The 300M Enthusiasts Club can do better, and we will!
His Photopoint album is at http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=1280646&a=9486000
and you can email him at sjensen666@hotmail.com to when you decide what style you want. The installation is not that hard if you're not afraid to take your car apart "just a little bit." The results are worth it.
I need a postal address and a fairly detailed description of the type of face; use the style designations at:
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=1280646&a=9486000&f=0
(You will have to select Show All. The installation instructions are here as well as pics of installations. There are cools pics of one surrounded by wood trim. I don't really like wood trim, but it's still cool.)
If you want a 300M shield, tell me which type, if you want text, tell me what is should say. Send me a graphic, and I'll slap it on if you want.
He's right... the dog was angry and nearly ripped my arm off when I opened the package! I jumped back just in time!
(just kidding, of course.)

I have to admit, I was in the running, but then thought, okay, this shirt is number one, too big, and number two... a T-SHIRT!!!
Hope the club is looking at embroidered "Beefy T's" and Polo type shirts. I'll put my order in now please!
as for the faces... just exactly HOW many nails am i looking at breaking to get it installed?
what do i gotta do to install it? i'm going to check out the site now, so, i will send scotian an email when i grab the graphic and tell him which and what i would like.
lalarry-wasn't me. Now if you see an XXL item come up, I'll be right on top of it. I have a 52 inch chest and 38 inch arms, so XL's are a bit tight on me!
But the main thing is to not miss First Awakenings ( those of you in Scottsdale, Sarasota, Naples Fla, Cincinatti or Orlando know the sister restaruant mini-chain First Watch. The guy that owns First Awakenings co-founded First Watch; the buy-out allowed him to keep the menu and recipes but had to change the name).
Hope this helps.
Have fun,
Rob
Here's another way. Download the Word version of the application form and save it to your desktop, then just type into it as if it were a new document. You'll have to a little bit of tabbing and reformatting as you go, but it's do-able. For the boxes, just type an "X" next to the boxes you would check. Then save it and attach it to an e-mail to me or the secretary (or both) and we'll figure it out. If we have any questions, we can always e-mail you.
Then you can send it to "prez300mclub@hotmail.com" and/or "secretary300mclub@hotmail.com" . We've had several people do it this way and it works just fine.
On the clock faces, the trick is to find a a small pointed tool (like an awl) that has a 90 degree bend on the end. You can use that to slip behind the edges of the panels to help you pull them outward. Just do it carefully and slowly so you don't crack or scratch anything. We sure don't want you breaking any nails or dash panels. Scotian has an installation procedure complete with pictures on his Photopoint site. You just have to substitute your hands for his.
I remember from several months back that you had some pics of an embroidered sweat shirt that someone had done for you. We're looking at maybe some embroidered polo shirts for the club, and wondered if you still had the info on that sweat shirt.
Thanks,
Roger
Dustin - There is a XXL up for auction now.
Exhaust Update - I picked up Big Red at around 1:00 today and decided to play hooky the rest of the day. However, I couldn't resist driving into the dealer that tried to screw with me just to show them how awesome the car looks.

Big Red's Exhaust
m hmmm,
Race
1) cleaning products (I've used Gunk engine cleaner on other cars, but it seems kinda harsh); and
2) cleaning process (do I need to cover anything with plastic?, etc.)

Enjoy! Silver
Why didn't Chrysler think of doing the factory exhaust that way?
I'm sure they thought about it, but didn't for probably the same reason they stopped the Chrome Shifter mid-2001... it costs an extra $50
sorry... I wore my cynical hat with my sarcastic scarf today.

Please post as much info as possible, I will go to my guy and tell him I want this, and show him your pics & info
On another note, got my overpriced chrome shifter knob yesterday... It was worth it ! Chrysler shouldnt have stopped making these...
It'll be cool in Monterey to finally be able to compare the sounds of the various variable variations (nope, that's not a typo!) of this exhaust setup, side by side. Your word description of how your system sounds is exactly the same as how I would describe mine. It'll be very cool to compare them, and hopefully some others as well.
FLASH! All dual exhaust modified 300M owners, please plan to come to the M Monterey Rendezvous in August for a group photo. Wouldn't that be cool?? That will definitely be a photo for the web site.
I was wondering if you had heard back from Germany yet as to what their solution will be for the vibration ?
Im still waiting...
ajpiii - I think the only thing I could add to my description and diagram is the manufacturer and part number on the tips. I'll try to post this information today. I highly suggest going with the mufflers that I have listed (although others have had good experience with the Rhino too). Both Racefan and I use the same setup, with the exception of him having resonator tips.
