I recieved the Joshua Tree wood trim kit and it turn out to be a bad kit! I told Mike Smith(the owner of Joshua Tree) about the many problems with his second party kit(he is not the manufacture) via email and he did not offer to do anything about the kit!
The first two pieces(driver side window buttons and power seat trim) of the kit fit fine at first(yesterday I noticed that the power seat trim is now cracked). I did these two small pieces first to get an idea of how to install the wood trim before doing the big trim pieces. Then came the problems.
Several pieces were miscut with the shifter piece being off very bad at the lower driver side thus showing quite a bit of the black plastic.I will give more details at a later date.
Since Mike from Joshua Tree told me via email that since I installed the first two pieces he can not and will not do anything about the rest of my defective kit pieces, I have informed my credit card company about this defective product and have began a billing dispute/investigation to get my account credited in full!
Others here who have gotten a good kit from Joshua Tree, I am happy for! But I happen to get a bad kit and now I must go to war over it.
I tried just pulling it off, but its warm enough here so that it's pretty sticky. I'll try washing it off tomorrow, hopefully the coats of Zaino I've got on it will help it come off.
The only problem I had was that the shifter trim was the pattern for the early '99, with the holes for the shift indicators, not the slots as on later models.
It took 6 weeks, and 4 shipments for the Mexican supplier to get the right combination of pattern and wood, but they finally got it. Mike Smith was very cooperative, and there was no cost to me for the replacements.
Work with Mike and he will come thru; he gets frustrated with the Mexican supplier too! Besides, compare his prices to some others out there.
One comment: You need to dry fit each piece first, and be sure to warm the pieces thoroughly so they will comform to the surface where they are fitted.

p.s.s. test drove a php today too, that was awesome!
I can definently tell a braking and steering response improvement. lane changes and turns were much flatter and smoother.
for curiosity we asked the dealer about what he'd sell for. the sticker on the car was $35,180 with a $1500 rebate. his price to me with my 99 300M @ 60K miles as a trade.... I'd have to come up with $16K. this car was manuf. 9-29-00 has been on this lot for several months and he has two of em, Identical. after a few mins of "discussion" he "showed" his invoice for the car @ $31,850 and said that w/ a $1500 rebate was best he could do. Geez.
So we left. no wonder the cars both of em are still sitting there. Great cars, Lousy sales team.
When we got back to my house we dicovered a faux paus. We'd but a wet towel and 2 ice pack on top of the intake to cool it down to change the plugs for new Platinum+4's guess what I'd forgot to check before I closed the hood for our little trip and we we got back there they still were.
One had gotten hot and melted but no damage to anything. just embarrasing as all get out.
we had quite a good laugh on that one.

Any ideas? I'll bring it in on Monday; it had better still be making this noise.
It takes affect 1 month/1000 miles after signing up.
just an idea
All- We were atttempting to change my stock spark plugs on my 99 300M for the Bosch Platinum +4's. Well some gorilla has superglued the Torx screws on the coil on plugs assembly so tight we weren't able to break 4 of them loose, and 3 of those 4 the torx socket in the screw head stripped out. The metal in those screws seems awfully soft for this application, IMHO.
Anyone else have this experience with their M???
Phases has changed his on his 2001 and he had no major problem. This is the first difficulty I've had with the car and I hate to think I may mave to replace the coil pack if i can't get those screws replaced. They are T25 torx head, captive in the coil pack assembly.
Suggestions and other comments welcome.

hey, bro, or bro in law lol
p.s. i got like all but four of five off that disk.. im gonna keep trying. it aint easy but at least i got most of em
All - thanks for all the positive responses. Wear 'em with pride! Also, kudos to my wife (the Club treasurer and associate shirt shipper) for all the work she put into this little endeavor. I couldn't have done it without her help.
MikeyJohn, if your radio wood trim cracked suddenly like my power seat wood trim did three days later it may not be you fault. I hope the new one works out for you.
DKRHardy, it is too bad that you needed to go back and forth via Email to Mike Smith and back and forth to the post office in order to get your money back on your defective wood trim kit for your Dodge Interpid. I am happy that the next kit you recieved from a deferent company was perfect right from the start!
RussKlass, it took six weeks to get your problem resolved from Joshua Tree! I am happy that it all worked out for you!
I will let you all know the results of my dispute/investagation over my very defective wood trim kit!
Keep up the good work!
Are you the one who melted the cool packs on the intake on the way to the DC dealer ?
If so are these related ?

(& two following)
I just put in my Bosh 4+ and I tipped two screws. I had to drill into the screw and use a special tool to get the screws out. I just when to Home Depot and told them my problem and they got the "tool" which is about $2-$3 it's some backwards screw.
You drill into the screw and then put this backwards screw in and torque it till you get the stripped screw out. It was a tough one though.
To Me the plugs made me engine quieter and smoother. Honest!
Scotian: dont let that guy moparrob bother you---he drives a "cheep"---so what can you expect from an SUV owner--PS : like your web page--nice alarm system and radar detector install---did you wire all that stuff yourself--
Don't know what that is in MM though
