I have no idea what you're talking about...re-read my post...maybe you're losing your mind?? ;)
  • protege_fanprotege_fan Member Posts: 2,405
I meant the fun wasn't over because there is this location and Yahoo to continue it in.
  • mdaffronmdaffron Member Posts: 4,421
Are you hearing voices AND responding to them?

    ;-)

... don't belong ANYWHERE on Edmunds. So I guess we've really only got ONE place to go. And no one's hangin' out there right now. Kinda boring end to my apres-midi.

  • mdaffronmdaffron Member Posts: 4,421
Would that be "I enjoy children" as in "I love my son," or "With fava beans and a nice chi-annnn-ti?"

    Meade
  • protege_fanprotege_fan Member Posts: 2,405
    From my psychological test.

    Also,
"If I were a painter, I would enjoy painting flowers". Huh???
  • protege_fanprotege_fan Member Posts: 2,405
That's EXACTLY my point. Knowing that they're looking for any sort of deviance (and of course not wanting to peg oneself as a deviant) how do you answer that without crucifying yourself?????
  • meinradmeinrad Member Posts: 820
I remember you chatting about that test, oh what 2 months ago...can't keep track of time anymore. Anyway, I'd love to see the analysis of a test like that. Instead of testing for psycosis it would give you one.
  • dsm6dsm6 Member Posts: 813
No officer, I wasn't speeding. Any reference that I may make in this forum to speeding is purely coincidental.

If you were a painter, what kind of tree would you like to paint?
  • mdaffronmdaffron Member Posts: 4,421
To the "I like children" question, if you say "true," then you figure you could be pegged as a pedophile. If you say "false," then you could be pegged as a liar since everybody likes children -- but you could worry that they would consider the reason you said "false" was because you're a closet pedophile and you don't want to give away your secret. This can go in circles until the cows come home.

They've got you either way, so just answer with an honest mind!

    Meade

    P.S. Do you like cows?
  • meinradmeinrad Member Posts: 820
were a Protege, which Protege would you be?
  • protege_fanprotege_fan Member Posts: 2,405
give you guys the name of the test, but that would be giving an unfair advantage to people applying to police departments out there. Also, real psychos could check out the test and "cheat" it.

Anyway, the test was only last Wednesday. I'm still waiting to see if I'm psychotic. Only time will tell. :O
  • mdaffronmdaffron Member Posts: 4,421
    Paul's 2001 ES!!!

  • protege_fanprotege_fan Member Posts: 2,405
That car sounds like it was treated like a rented mule. What does that say about you Meade???? :P
  • mdaffronmdaffron Member Posts: 4,421
I'm late leaving work as it is. Been one crazy, insane day, huh?

Good luck with your test. I had to take one of those once myself. They really do make you think you're psychotic. There's no correct answer -- and by the time you're halfway through it, you swear you've seen the same questions several times.

    See you guys tomorrow.

    Meade
  • meinradmeinrad Member Posts: 820
    you're psychotic, aren't we all?

and Meade is an absolut wacko! Pauls 2001 ES? I don't think so, I wouldn't want to be abused like that.
  • mdaffronmdaffron Member Posts: 4,421
That I'm into S&M. Says so, right there on my psych test.

    Bye!!!

...looked like mostly a lot of scribbling on the chalkboard.

It was just kinda funny the way you said it...conjured up an interesting mental image of you and Stinky sitting in the corner.

    Never mind.

    Go home now.

Tell Tammy and Sean I said Hi.
  • meinradmeinrad Member Posts: 820
no one wants to come an play with you since you have stinky with you. We don't want to go home smelling like that.

I had the AC on the whole time, was travelling in 90-degree weather, and going 75-85mph all of the time with occasional bursts to 100. My 2001 Protege got the same mileage with a 130hp (wheasing) 2.0 engine. I am very happy! :)
  • mazdafunmazdafun Member Posts: 2,329
    :)
  • newcar31newcar31 Member Posts: 3,711
which engine is "wheasing" when both have 100,000+ miles. ;)
  • protege_fanprotege_fan Member Posts: 2,405
I think we should at least move your current line of posts from the Sedans topic to here.

Anyway, my feeling on the creation of the Roadside Cafe is that it has to do with (IMHO of course) Edmunds's "fear" of other website chat boards/forums.

It's like they only want you here and nowhere else...so if you do want to go talk about something other than cars, you can just goto the Roadside Cafe. BUT, as soon as you're done there, head back to some of the other forums in TH.
  • maltbmaltb Member Posts: 3,572
you understand that the Cafe is gone so I guess that's no longer their intention.
  • protege_fanprotege_fan Member Posts: 2,405
No, I know that...I meant that under the old management that's how it was...we'll see how things change now.
  • meinradmeinrad Member Posts: 820
anyway? To have that fear of other forums, you'd think they have something tied to the number of posters here. I can't see how, but thats the impression I get.

#14625 of 14629 And, by the way, HUH? by mdaffron Jul 11, 2002 (11:07 am)

"Not many of us would stick around if all we did was talk about the same things day after day."

Hmmm, seems many of us -- including you -- do just that!

I am constantly looking for other topics. After something is talked about 10 times in here it get's boring rehashing. The Cafe was a break form that. I can't stand the Yahoo groups due to the slow servers and one message at a time. Edmunds has the best forum software by far.

    #14626 of 14629 And ... by mdaffron Jul 11, 2002 (11:08 am)
"The Cafe was place where people who like cars got to hang out and talk about life which is much more exciting than any car."

I think Dale would disagree with you on that point.

Please explain. I know she is out of town and I gotsta know now...hehehe.

    You can't be serious....

    DON'T goto www.protegeclub.com/forum

It's TERRIBLE there. The interface is easy to use AND you can put up Avatars...what a waste of time. Not to mention they have almost 2000 people in that group...who wants to hear that many view points?

I post there a lot, but don't anybody else go there! Stay here at Edmunds....post away.
