@Kyfdx did you mean .00157 or .000157 for the Rogue S money factor? I was under the impression that the rogue S MF had an extra 0, since it seems like the more affordable lease.

Nope.. just two ZEROes. The Rogue Select has low money factors, but not the Rogue.

Just wondering if only the easy questions get answered....lol. Here is my original question in brief: MSRP of $28,500 with sales price of $26,583. Trade = $2,700 and I put down $1,000 and 36 month lease with 15,000 miles and received $1,850 from Nissan. A Residual % of $15,390. Rent charge is $2,229.97 and depreciation is $7,454.03. On final paperwork they changed the price of vehicle to $26,682.95 with Gross Capitalization Cost of $28,207.82 (26,682.95value of car+771.12sales tax+71.25title+595acqusition fee+75 doc fee+12.5 tire fee). Cap reduction was $5,363.79.

Did I get a good deal at $269 a month? Thanks in advance!

With base money factor and 54% residuaal, I get a payment of about $267/mo. So, it looks like a fair deal. Is the $1850 a rebate from Nissan?

I am still waiting for the color car I want to get to the dealer, so they couldn't guarantee pricing, even though they gave me a quote of $29,500 on a MSRP $33,000 SL premium at money factor of .00162 and residual 54% for 39 months at 12k miles per year. This quote was Aug 30. I'm in Minnesota with very good credit 700+). Can I get an updated money factor and residual in hopes that they find my car in the next week or so? Also, was that a generally good deal they offered?

The deposit is refundable so do you think I have any negotiating power if they went to all the effort of getting the car and then don't offer the same numbers and pricing is then not what I want?

After reading a few sites the general rule appears to be "don't lease a new vehicle when the new year has been released". How true is this with the 2014 Rogue SV vs the 2015? I just test drove the 2015 and there are minimal differences between the two vehicles, and therefore we don't "need" a 2015. Should I hold out until residuals are released for the 2015s, and do you think they could potentially be cheaper than a 2014?

The 39 month numbers are the same, this month, but the 36 month program is much better..

    .00157 MF and 60% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr.

UPDATE: The dealer has the car in stock now- can I get updated quotes for money factor and residual at 36 and 39 months for 12k miles per year? I will be going in on Saturday so will the numbers be valid until then?
    - Also, where is this information being taken from, so I have some leg to stand on when I go and demand it at the dealership and can say what the source of information is (a book, standard pricing guide, etc?)?

What would be the money factor and depreciation for 2015 Rogue SL loaded ($33K list) for 36 months and 12K with no money down? I was quoted $465 which I thought was surprisingly high on $31K purchase.

    Thanks

.00162 MF and 58% for AWD (deduct 1% for FWD).

    With a $33K MSRP and $31K selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $410.67.

Hello. What should the monthly payment be given $0 down on a 2014 Rogue SV with Family Package and a few other options (invoice = $26,250). I'm assuming the agreed-upon price for a 2014 at this point should be around the invoice price.

Not enough information for us to comment.

We need the MSRP, the negotiated selling price, the expected lease term and the number of miles per year.

Use the pricing tools at the top of the page to determine your target selling price ... the new Rogue is quite popular and discounts may not be as good as you think.

    Hi Michaell,

Sorry for lack of info the first time. Let's say the negotiated selling price = 26,250, MSRP is $27,160 (excluding destination and handling) and $28,020 (including destination and handling). 12,000 miles a year, 36 months.

    Thanks!

Hello, new here, would appreciate the help :) Is this a decent deal?

2014 Rogue SV FWD - no packages, no add ons
    MSRP - $25,730
    Selling Price - $24,200
    Residual @ 59% - $14,278
    Down payment - $2,000
Money Factor - 0.00160 (approximately, forget exact number)
    15k miles / year
    36 months
    Excellent Credit
    State - Nevada
Monthly approximate payment of $360 / mo (tax included)

I'm trying to see where in the numbers I can make this better. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

36/15 numbers on the 2014 Rogue SV FWD are 58% and .00157. 59% is for SV AWD.

With your MSRP and selling price and the MF and residual I've quoted, I get a pre-tax payment of $319.11. Not sure what the sales tax is in Nevada, but it would have to be quite high to get to $360/mo.

I think there is room to negotiate with the dealer on their numbers.

Hey Michaell, thanks so much for your quick response.

Tax is 8.1%. It seems a little high for me too.

So I want to negotiate the numbers. Where in there is the most significant places I can make the most impact? The MF and residual seem locked. Is it purely just negotiating the selling price?

Here is another newbie question: If the offered individual numbers seem difficult to budge, will it ever work in my favor to just say "If you can make the payments $340 without changing my downpayment or any contributions, then its a deal" ? What should I be watching out for when trying to get that monthly payment down as low as possible?

Thanks again, this is my first lease and I am super scared about getting ripped off. Really appreciate it!

The only two numbers that are variable in a lease are the negotiated selling price and the MF. Work to ensure that you are using the base MF I've quoted and the lowest possible selling price.

Do not negotiate on payment alone. If you can get the base MF and a very low selling price, you will end up with the lowest possible payment.

    Hi,

I was hoping that you could price out a lease on a 2015 Rogue SL AWD with a MSRP of 31,135 and selling price of 29,000. This would be for a 36 month lease, 0 down, 6.25% sales tax. If you could, I would be interested in the price with 12K and 15K mileage a year.

    Thanks!

sorry if i'm asking something answered before. Where is the MSRP come in for lease calculation? On edmund calculator i only see the sell price.

Is the MSRP used to compute the residual value?

Correct, residual value is computed against the MSRP. Therefore, the lower you can negotiate the sell price, the better your payment will be.

I'm looking at a 2014 Rogue SL, list price 30,840. I want to lease for 36/12. The problem is I have a lease to trade in that I owe $21,500 on and the most I've been offered is $18,000 on a trade even though the blue book value is $19,500. How much does this affect my payment to be upside down $3,000 on my lease trade in? I'd like to know what the money factor and the residual % is on this 2014 FWD SL.

Whatever the lease payment is, the $3000 negative equity will add about $83/mo to it.

Residual and MF for 2014 SL FWD is 58% and .00122.

2014 Nissan Rogue SL - 36 months/12K miles. Sale Price is $25,941.58. Black with almond leather interior. Last one on the lot as it is 2014. $1500 down at $307 a month. $289.62 + $17.38 taxes. First quote was $375 at $1000 down. Came down to $307 a month. Is the $307 a good deal knowing we're are almost into 2016 already? This is in West Palm Beach, Florida.

What is the MSRP? We'd need to know both MSRP and sale price to model the payment.

Current RV and MF for 2014 Rogue SL FWD is 59% and .00122.

    Hi,
The last post I see about the 2014 Rogue AWD SL numbers is October. What are the current 36/15 MF and residual numbers? While I'm at it, in case I can't find a 2014, what are the numbers for the 2015? (same set up 36/15, AWD SL.)
Do we know what manufacturer incentives are in play this month for a 2014 Rogue SL? Is there anything for the 2015?
    Thanks in advance,

Thanks, looking at the incentive info, it appears to me that it's the same incentive whether you get a 2014 or a 2015. Is that common? Is the advantage to seeking a 2014 that the dealer may be willing to negotiate more on their pricing to move the 2014 from their inventory? Do you recommend pursuing one model year over the other this time of the year? If all things are equal, it's easier to find a 2015 right now.

    Requirements and Restrictions:
Customer Bonus Cash is available towards leasing to customers who finance through Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation.
    Leasing Bonus Cash Start End
    $675 11/01/2014 12/01/2014

I would agree with your assessment, but the color and equipment choices for 2014 are more limited as inventory decreases.
