@stever oh there is one in Seattle. I was down in the Bay Area helping my sister move into a new apartment. IKEA is what I imagine my version of hell would look like, and this one outside SF was a special kind of torture - you would think the stuff was free it was so crowded.
Wasn't Interstate 80 in Emeryville just the most FUN ever?
Now this is a Yeungling I can get interested in. Not a beer drinker, nor much of anything else either. I watched back in 08 or 09 when Yeungling came into Ohio as the local quick market advertised it was coming and then the heavy ads when it was first available.
I had a strange dream last night. My wife, loves European cars, she has had Volvos, MG, bmw, Mercedes, Audi, and currently has a GLK. She has never even considered or looked at a D3 car. In my dream she said she wants a car with a lot of horsepower, something like a Buick! I tried to talk her into getting a Mustang or a Hellcat so I could have some fun.
Any ideas what this dream means?
I think it means you want a fast impractical toy and you're wondering if your wife will give you permission.
I'm sure she will but will be shaking her head and thinking she'll have to watch for other signs of dementia.
PS I just mentioned your post to my wife and she says your dream means you should buy a Mustang.
I think your wife may be right. I was thinking if I could buy another car for home, I think it would be a Mustang. The reason is....American's really own that market. Nothing really compares for raw power and ruggednes I don't need a practical car....the Mustang is just pure fun, in fact it is kind of impractical in a lot of ways.......that is what makes it fun.
I think your wife is on to something, it is my inner driver wanting a powerful impractical car, just for the fun of it. Now, how do I break the news to my wife.
I have put 2 or 3X as many miles on a car with a lot fewer tire rotations and balancings. He must hit a lot of curbs or he is OCD about his maintenance. 2500 miles a year and most of those miles were trips to the dealer for service.

I like it (not the meatballs) but all the fumes outgassing kill my wife and she won't go. The Malm bed even survived one move, lol. It's been a while since we've visited her brother in Seattle - the last time I had opportunity to shop, my wife just sent me off to IKEA and Fry's and said have fun. Then again, Archie McPhee's may be more fun. We're overdue a trip.
I had my first Yuengling Draft beer today and man was that good!
I am not much of a beer or anything drinker, but once in awhile you have a beer that is extra special and this one is extra special. Cheers!
Mike: When I was younger, I had been told by friends that Coors was the best brewed beer in the U.S. Because of the water they use in Colorado. I was jealous that we could not get the beer in the east or Midwest for a long time. &nbs. Welcome to the club!
If Coors uses water from Colorado does Yuengling use water from Alligator Alley?
It is a great product wherever they get the water in. That reminds me, if you are ever in a strange country beer is about the safest thing you can drink, it is made from best water, and the process it goes through kills almost anything that might grow in it.
28, that had to be an absolute base model to not even have a BU camera. The sport has the same drivetrain as my Sonata, but I assume a bit more weight. And worse aerodynamics and more driveline drag (AWD? Probably FWD I would guess).
I was pulling for one of these back when we were CUV shopping, but (hopefully!) would have held out for the turbo.
See how much you learn here....I would never have experienced a Yuengling if you guys hadn't mentioned it.

I never knew Yuengling manufactured ice cream! Truly an amazing public service site - and they said Edmunds was just about cars and trucks and SUV's. I've learned about washers, dryers, booze, beer, heat pumps, AC units, solar energy, wind energy, tornados, Interstate 75 and rock and mud slides in Ohio, dishwashers, refrigerators, property taxes in several States, traffic reports, several television episodes, airline traffic and delays, several colleges and universities, and.....a few things about cars.

We have one just off I-595 near Sunrise, FL. Been there a couple of times. If and when I decide to do something with my kitchen and the 2 bathrooms, that's where I'm going. Great place to have Sunday breakfast or a nice lunch during the week, too.

Glad you took our advice and tried one. Yes, definitely a satisfying brew. Since they built the expansion brewery in Tampa, it has enabled a more widespread geographic mix of beer lovers to experience a truly GOOD TASTING beer.
I believe Yuengling is the oldest, if not one of the oldest, beers brewed in the United States. Thank goodness we can get that beer here in Florida.

Driver, you now know what a good beer tastes like. Welcome to the club!
Ratebeer.com rates Yuengling about average and Coors is rated significantly lower. I usually drink Leinenkugel Indian Pale Larger or Goose Island 312. Both pretty good beers.

we go to Ikea every so often. Pretty much done with furniture from there, outside of the occasional small table, though I did get my office desk from there. we do like shopping in the market for houseware stuff, pictures, lamps, stuff like that. Plus the cheap meatballs for lunch!
I keep trying but never have developed a taste for beer. I'd be happy to dip into your 100 year old Jack though.
I wish it was 100 years old! That was 25 year old Sinatra 100 (Sinatra had turned 100 years old - this the reason for the "100"). That bottle is long gone. No way I would pay $179 for a bottle of bourbon - but it sure was stupendous. Quite frankly, I'd settle for a cold bottle of Yuengling right now!
You will never see real 100 year old whiskey. Whiskey only ages when it's in a barrel, once it is bottled it stops aging. So a whiskey that was aged 25 years in the barrel and bottled 100 years ago is still a 25 year old whiskey. The problem with aging whiskey is evaporation, you will lose a portion of the whiskey each year in what is known as the angels share. Low humidity and you lose more water to evaporation and your whiskey has a higher proof, high humidity and you lose more alcohol to evaporation and your proof gets lower. Keep it in the cask for 100 years and you lose most, if not all, of the contents to evaporation.

The IKEA near my house has the worst design that I can think of for a store. It's basically one long path through every department in the store with the occasional shortcut. So the way it is set up you have to walk through about 1/4th to 1/3rd of the store no matter what. I really hate going there.

Re: IKEA My personal feeling on IKEA is that most of it looks great assuming you put it together correctly. However, it will not survive a move in most cases.
Also, they have shortcuts hidden throughout so you do not have to walk through the whole thing. The signs are small blue ones. I utilize them heavily.
Re: The Santa Fe and Bay Area Driving The drive on 680/580 would have been fine, had I been in a vehicle capable of getting out of its own way. The Santa Fe was perfectly comfortable and decent looking. Just was a completely base model and the power train made it a real dog.

Stick, so they are charging a set lease payment each month, is what I think you are saying? I would not suggest that as the way to go. Our system is Jackson has steadily underproduced. If I did not own the system, I'd much rather pay for the power it actually produces.

WARNING ABOUT IKEA: We bought a bed from Ikea for the Florida place. It must have had 1000 parts (has drawers underneath) and took about 16 hours to put together.
The worst part is if we move the bed can't be deconstructed to take it with. If we sell, the bed goes with the house.
Thinking back, I would rather pay more somewhere else and get a bed that can be taken apart.
Filled the car up this morning with PUG. Costco was at $2.09.9 two weeks ago - I paid $2.45.9 at the pump this morning. Most gas stations are up about 40 cents a gallon. I realize refineries are shutting down for maintenance and oil is up about $15.00 a barrel, not to mention that refineries are starting to produce summer gasoline blends.
But those cheaper gasoline prices were nice while they lasted. AAA said to expect additional increases in gasoline prices through June. For the amount of driving I do, I sure can't complain - but you guys who drive 15,000+ miles per year are affected much more.
I am getting about 20 mpg's around town and 31+ mpg's on the highway at 65 mph with an average of 24 mpg. Really not bad for a 330 hp engine with 354 lb.ft. of torque.

We had something similar in younger son's room. Not quite as complicated; about 30 pieces, not counting hardware. I tried to disassemble and take it with us when we moved in October. It did not survive.

What is happening there? We are headed back (North of course) a week from Friday....April 1st.
No traffic moving today past Pioneer NB on I75. Tomorrow would be the 3-week deadline for the company having one lane open per the contract that TDOT let.
I'll be able to give a complete report next Monday. I'll do a drive-by on our way to Pigeon Forge and let everyone know if the northbound has been opened to one lane. Hopefully it'll be open by Thursday when we plan to come back north, probably among a lot of people from Florida traveling north along with us. LOL
I'm expecting a backup where the road narrows down to 1 lane. I wish people would use the zipper. I get tired of watching people zoom past all the people who have politely merged to flow through smoothly and then cutting in line. This causes dead stops which ripple and amplify back through those patiently going 25 mph in line.

Driver, you only have room for a couple of travelers going north so there can't be many going north "with you!"
Rebuilding ANYTHING today is a dying art. In the "old days" a quality shop wouldn't think of buying a rebuilt carb, alternator, starter or anything else. They wouldn't trust the skills of the rebuilder for one thing and they had the necessary skills to do the job themselves.
Same applied to engines. Nobody rebuilds engines anymore. They install a "reman" unit.
A lot has to do with labor rates. With rates starting at 100.00/hr it usually isn't cost effective.
You will still find specialty shops doing engine rebuilds, like Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar---but mostly engines 5 years and older. It'll cost you though. A Porsche 911 n/a engine now runs about $18,000 on up, and a Ferrari can hit $35K on up, and...upwards to $60K. One of the shops I use even has their own dyno room to test the rebuilds prior to install.
And of course hotrod shops still rebuild.
But yeah, on many cars, an engine rebuild = a total loss of the car.
But yeah, on many cars, an engine rebuild = a total loss of the car.
This certainly applied to our 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS with 130,000 miles on it and a slipped timing chain and busted serpentine belt. Rebuilt engine = totaled car. $2,000 in trade for another car.
That would certainly be true for my 2003 Mini, my friend's 2003 Boxster, my Dakota pickup or my brother's VW Passat. All nice vehicles, all to the wrecking yard if the engine fails. The Dakota might be borderline with a used engine and a weekend's work in the driveway.
The body on the '08 Lancer GTS was pristine, too, and the paint was good+ but not excellent. Somebody that already had a 2.0L 4-banger would get a decent deal if they were phone shopping for a body+tires+shocks and interior in that July 2014 time period. Rockford Fosgate 650-watt stereo with 9 speakers that blasted quite nicely. Was not ready ta give that baby up!

The license agreement allows for up to five or six returns. There is no "no sharing outside if family" clause. Mine counts as one, my friend's and his wife's as two. I have not violated anything. My integrity is fine, thank you very much - at least as far as Turbo Tax license agreement is concerned.
Fair enough. I assumed that the license was only for one return.
In 1977 I flew to Emporia ,Kansas to pick up a 1977 Corvette for a friend and drive it back to east Ky. When friends heard of my trip several requested cases of Coors and I filled the rear area and front seat with around 16 cases of beer and made a non-stop trip except for gas.
