2014 models no longer have any lease support. 2015 models would be cheaper to lease.

Lots of lease calculators available on the web. Or, you can build your own in a spreadsheet - nothing more complicated than 5th grade math involved.

EDIT -my apologies, that was the 41 month residual. 36 months is 54% for 15K.

Addl question: Mini is currently offering $500 you-ification offset + a $500 special credit offset right now. One dealer told me today that the offset comes out of their pocket so they can't sell me car that is close to invoice before the offsets. Does that should right??

I am at the end of my current Mini lease and trying to get back in another and am having a hard time working with one of the MINI Dallas, TX dealers. I was just told the money factor for qualified buyers on a lease is .00170. According to earlier posts, this doesn't seem right to me...?

I am looking at 2015 Cooper (non-S) 36mo, 15k. I've asked him for the cap cost on the car and the residual, but this is my first time to navigate all this on my own and he is not responding. After reading all this helpful info, I decided to shop another Mini dealer in DFW, but just want to check the numbers I get from them through here. Thanks!

Dealer is inflating the MF on you ... base rate is .00130 this month.

36/15 residual on the Cooper Hardtop is 59%

I point blank asked him if it wasn't .00130 and was told; ...that .0017 is the absolute best they can offer through Mini FS and they typically do not even quote that until after submitting. Wow.....

I just got an offer from the dealer.

mini countryman S all4 2015
MSRP: 34000
sale price: 30000 + 1000 (they just said they will give me 4k off from msrp, but I believe there are 1k more. I forgot the item names)
7.5k/year
2000 downpay + 350/month (include tax)

residue: 19045(just 56%, the dealer is crazy? the residue percentage is assigned by mini right? it should be 65% for 7.5k,right?)
MF: 0.00175 (They already lower down it from 0.00205 by adding 1k more in downpay)

carzy dealer.

So tomorrow, I will mention them the residue percentage and MF right? If so, the monthly payment is just 270 in total. Bless me ~~~~~!!!

Dealer is not allowed to modify the residual. However, they could be using a different finance company other than MINI, in which case we won't be able to validate any of the information.

You can choose to not pay the bank fee, for an increase in the money factor of .00035.

If you run the numbers, it's almost always cheaper to pay the acquisition fee and roll it into the payment, rather than take the money factor bump.. Lower priced cars on short term leases are the exceptions to that rule.

I haven't started to negotiate the price yet,just found something in the inventory as a starting point after getting them to correct the MF and residual. I wanted to see what they calculated before working on price. They are telling me, title, license, registration fees: $262.19, Texas State Sales Tax: 6.25% of net difference (sales price minus trade) Lease acquisition fee: $925. With my current lease there is maybe $5k negative equity as well. Which I can never seem to get away from, and really don't understand how that happens with a lease. I plan on going into the dealership to work on the final numbers, but am trying to do as much leg work prior to that.

If you trade out of a lease early, then there is the possibility that you'll be upside down. If you wait until the lease terminates, you should have no equity, either positive or negative (other than excess mileage charges, if any).

Why not wait until your existing lease is up? that way, the $3K of negative equity won't exist and won't need to be accounted for in the new lease.

Does anyone know what the new January Lease residual value number is on 36month lease @ 7,500/10,000 on Countryman S?
It was 64%/63% in December.

I understand the MF is now .00123.

Unfortunately, the 41-month lease option is now gone.

A dealer I am talking to is including a 'shipping fee' of $400 to the price of a 2015 mini they are offering to me.
This is in addition to 'destination and handling' fee of $850 that is already part of MSRP.

Is this a legit charge....or just sneaky way to charge more for the car?
I haven't seen other dealers add this charge to their offer sheets.

There is the factory destination fee that is on the sticker. Anything else should be called into question; are they bringing the car in from a different dealer?

If the car is coming from somewhere else, is it reasonable for them to pass that cost to along to me as fee? I haven't seen it done that way before. I would have expected them to factor their addl cost into their offer price.
