Can I please get the MF and residual for a 2016 MINI Cooper S 4 door? Also, generally speaking, what's an average/good monthly lease payment (SF, CA tax inclusive) for a very low mileage (5,000) 36 mo lease with $1500 total cash down? MSRP of the vehicle in question is $33,800. Thank you.

I'm sorry, but we didn't get any MINI lease info, this month.

Interested in leasing a 2016 Mini Convertible base, I have no clue what I can expect the payment to be. I called the dealer and asked what the residual value was and they did not tell me over the phone but said that this would be the best time because the residual value would be highest since it's brand new. I inquired about a one pay lease and they said that they could do that as well but I was hoping I could get guidance on payments I could expect to see for this type of car before I go back in to discuss the details. Does anyone know the residual and MF on this? Thanks in advance!!

No MINI lease numbers this month, sorry.

I agree with part of what the dealer is saying ... residuals tend to be highest when a new model is released. However, the MF may be higher as well to help make money.

Not yet. We didn't get numbers for April; fingers crossed that we'll see something for May.

From a dealer I asked for a 36 month lease.

"I can definitely help you with that information. The base money factor is .00172 and the residual for a 2016 Cooper S 4 Door is 62% with 12k miles."

While I don't have the numbers, I will go out on a limb and suggest that the MF is marked up. In the past, base MF on MINIs has been around .00130 or so, with a max .00040 markup.

Contact a few other dealers and inquire about the MF - see if you get the same answer from all of them.

Absolutely correct, I dug around some more.

"Before the markup it should be .00132 but the discount/cash available is correct."

    Markup was 0.00040

I confirmed available lease cash as well as advertised on MINI. $1000 customer cash and $600 dealer contribution for total of $1600 available.

The MF alone will save you $30/mo or so on the payment. I think the bloom is off the rose with MINI - not the status symbols they were when they first came out. Deals to be had.

I agree, tons of cars sitting around. Wife will be happy. It's just so hard to cross shop dealerships because no one car is the same. Didn't realize this before.

Yes, unlike Honda (or Toyota, or Nissan, or ....), MINI has an almost unlimited number of configurations.

If you can find one with the options you want, jump on it. That's what my daughter did with both her MINI purchases.

Thank you, will update if we pull the trigger. Negotiating car price and everything before showing up with our other lease and see if they will do the pay off amount haha. We shall see.

Hi. So I'm new to this process. Looking at getting a 2016 Mini Cooper Convertible.Probably do a custom once since there aren't too many convertibles on the lot. I've been doing the estimate the least payment calculatior on the website. The Mini Cooper Convertible I've built has a MSRP of $32,850. Online is saying with no down payment, 36 month, 10k miles, the estimated payment is $554/month. However the $40,150 Audi A3 Convertible with no down payment, 36 months, 10k miles has an extimated payment of $525.78 per month. Any information on why the difference and what the payment on the Mini should be?
