A more general question: which would you say is more critical, negotiated price or residual value? If it's the former, it would make sense to lease at the end of the year to get the best price (with dealers trying to clear inventory); but if it's the latter, than you'd want to lease at the beginning of the MY to get the best residual. Obviously either one will impact your monthly fee -- and potentially cancel each other out. But if leasing is really just a creative form of financing, then the most important factor would be negotiated price, right? (Sorry -- it's mid-July, so I am weighing my options.)

    Hey kyfdx,

I am trying to get a C2 with 24 or 27 month lease with 12k miles...What's residuals, money factor, and MRM. Also, when do you think is the best month to lease in? Like is now a great time to get a 2014...Maybe get a bigger discount before 15s come out? Please advise.

    Thanks in advance.

    .00177 MF and 72%/70% residual. MRM = $102,300.

I'd say now would be a great time to get a deal on a 2014... You could wait another month or two, and maybe do better (lease program is likely to be the same, but price could go down), but of course, selection will only get worse.

In your response to singhumd for the 2014 C2 was that MT? I have a dealer telling me a C2 with 24 mo, 10k miles, PDK is 72%. I'm saying 73%. What is correct? TIA.

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 267,528

On most 911s (not Turbo), PDK does drop the residual by 1%. Your dealer's number is correct.

Hi, Can you please provide me with the MF and Residual for a 2014 911 Cab (manual), 24 & 36 Months with 7.5K and 10K miles per year. Also, is there a sweetspot in terms of length of lease for the best deal (such as 27 months, for example)?

    Thank you,
    AI

    2014 C2 Cab:

    24mo, 10K/yr = .00105 MF and 70% residual.

    27mo, 10K/yr = .00105 MF and 68% residual.

    36mo, 10K/yr = .0020 MF and 62% residual.

Add 1% to all terms for 7.5K/yr.

The 27 month term is going to be better than the 24 month.. It may be as cheap as the 36 month term, depending on the size of the discount from MSRP. (bigger the discount, the more it favors the shorter term).

A lease rate of .00105 (2.5%) seems really good - not sure I've seen this before - is this special to clear out 2014, or same for 2015?

If you were to take the 27 mth, 10K/yr on a 2015 - is it the same residual?

Final question - is the C2S at the same MF and what is the residual on 27mth, 10K/yr and 7.5K/yr?

Thx - you do a great service of informing people through thus forum - I always recommend people come visit it to learn.

The low MF was introduced on shorter term leases for the 2014 sports cars, a few months back.

    2014 C2S Cab: .00128 MF and 66% residual for 27mo, 10K/yr

    2015 C2 Cab: .0020 MF and 70% residual for 27mo, 10K/yr.

Hi, I'm new here and looking at my first porsche. A local dealer has a 2014 PCNA C4S w/ 4K mi on it, never titled. Selling as new, discounted from $121K to $110. They offered a 27mo 15K lease for $1669/mo w/ no money down based on residual of 63% and MF 0.00182. Any thoughts on sale price and would appreciate help in verifying official MF and residual.

A quick calculation with those numbers results in a payment of $1589/mo. plus tax.

I show the base rates as .00152 MF and 64% residual, 63% with PDK.

9% off MSRP on a 2014, when the 2015s are now coming out - doesn't seem like much of a deal on the sales price. Plus it has 4K miles on the clock - you should be getting a significant discount. Looks like they are taking advantage of you on the MF also.

If new to Porsche, you should check out rennlist.com and the 991 forum for discussion on sales prices and other great advice. No better place than this forum though for lease advice.

These are the scenarios I am weighing, if you wouldn't mind posting MF, residual and MRM for 7.5K/miles and 10K/miles:

    1. 2014 C2S

    2. 2014 C2S Cab

    3. 2015 C2S

    4. 2015 C2S Cab

    For a PDK.

Sorry its a lot of scenarios.

    Thanks!

Hello, I have a long delayed 2014 GT3 on order. It was originally scheduled for delivery on May 16'th, but now still at factory, delivery scheduled for Nov. It will still be a 2014. Do you know what the MF is for the 2014 GT3's? Also, residual values. I'm looking at 10,000 miles/year, 24, 27 or 36 month leases. Thanks. Lastly do you know if the 2015's (arriving on practically the same boat) will have same or different residuals?

    All the best!

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 267,528

No idea what the numbers will be in November, for either 2014 or 2015. Porsche numbers change quarterly, and that will be a new quarter

We don't hold on to old data, so we can't comment on the residuals from this time last year to this year.

Hard to predict what will happen with the residuals in the future.

    Thanks Michaell,

Just to clarify the numbers above are based upon 27 months? Is it not an option to do a lease on a certified pre-owned? I realize the numbers may not be as favorable but would like to run some scenarios.

I'd like to know the current money factor and residual for a 2014 C2S Cab with a manual transmission. 27 and 36 months, 10,000 miles per year. I know this question has been answered before, but there are several posts with different numbers on them. Also, do these numbers change if you take advantage of Porsche's "Pull Forward" offer? Thanks in advance.

Confirm that the above numbers are for 27 months. There is data on 2013 MY, but not the traditional MF and residual percentage I'm used to seeing.

If I were to take an educated guess, I'd assume that the MF for CPO is .00200 (Porsche standard MF).

29 months. It's an odd number, but that's what the dealer wants to do. Would the residual change if I go to 10,000 miles? The dealer is quoting 64% for 7500.

To go from 7.5K to 10K/yr subtract 1% from the residual. If you have any doubts, take the 10K/yr.

I can see why they are using 29 months, if it only drops the residual by 1% over 27 months.. at 30 months, the MF reverts to .0020. Verify that you are getting the .00080 MF. Porsche dealers like to mark that up.... sometimes, a lot.

Thanks. I agreed to pay a bit more on the MF in exchange for a larger discount in the price, basically splitting the difference between what they proposed and what I offered. The nice thing is that I'm going from a 2013 C2S Cab that stickered for $117,000 to a 2014 C4S Cab that stickers for $140,000 for essentially the same monthly payment.

Those were 2014 numbers, I gave above..

Nope... all 2015 models have .0020 for the MF..

    24mo, 7.5K residual is 70%, 27 month is 68%..

Not sure about 29 months, as that was most likely a special to take advantage of the lower MF on the 2014..

2014 GT3. Money factor and residuals for 10,000 miles a year, 36 and 48 months. I'm curious if there are any special money factor rates for the 2014 GT3?

    Thank you! As always.

    All the best!
