24 Months / 0 Down / .00111 FM / 72% Residual = 647 payment
36 Months / 0 Down / .00147 FM / 62% Residual = 621 payment
They won't negotiate on MSRP.
Anyone have any comments or thoughts?
Thanks!!
The base MF for 24 month leases is .00060 and for 36 month leases is .00097, so both of those are being marked up quite a bit for extra profit by the dealer.
The residual for 15k per year leases is 69% for 24 months and 59% for 36 months - looks like you are wanting 10K per year, as that adds 3% to the residual.
I'm not in the market for a V60, so I can't comment on whether MSRP is a good selling price or not. These are brand new and there may not be a lot of availability just yet.
Using the base MF, I get a pre-tax payment of $579.64 for 24 months and $565.16 for 36 months.
Ask the dealer why they are marking up the MF on you.
If it's ok to ask, where do you get those base MF numbers from? Just so that I have a frame of reference for the dealer's finance guy.
I think what these base numbers mean is that Volvo Credit, or whoever owns the lease, will take the finance charge based on .00060 and then the rest is given back to the dealer for profit? Or some approximation of that. Is that how it works??

Those are Volvo finance numbers. The money factor is the base rate. Dealers can mark up that rate, for extra profit. The bank buys the car from the dealer, then leases it to you. If the dealer marks up the rate, a portion of that extra money is paid back to them, by the bank.

Looked at a lot of different makes this week and went with the S60. Best car I drove (TSX, Audi A3, VW, G37). Most comfortable, best MPG. Plus, ended up being by far the best lease.
2015 S60 FWD T5 E-Drive
MSRP: Just over $38,000
Selling Price: $33,800
MF: .00001 (which was the key)
Residual: 70% (12K miles)
Total At Signing: $1000 (first month, tags and about $400 in CCR)
Payment: $330 for 24 months
Includes: $750 conquest rebate
Whoa -- very impressed with that deal. I was actually about to pull the trigger on very similar terms, but with a 2014. Looking at a T5 FWD Premier (though calling tomorrow to see if the deal would be the same on a Premier Plus). $551 total out of pocket and $333/month for 24 months. Mine also included the $750 con questing money.
Should I be pushing for the same terms for a 2015 model with Drive-E? I was given the impression that this kind of deal was only possible because they were really trying to dump the 2014 models. Thoughts?
Also, I'm in NY -- dbells00 - what dealer did you lease from?
Re the .00111 MF rate - the finance guy said they would not change from this as they only make a "few hundred dollars" and have to "stay in business", but he did confirm that the Volvo base MF is .00060, ("I don't know who told you that or where you found that out" - the Internet - it's a great place!!). I told him that I wasn't prepared to pay 1.22% APR over and above the 1.44% APR base rate, but then he brought the sales manager in to explain the worksheet, and explain the MSRP thing, (or possibly just distract me!).
They don't seem interested in budging on any of these numbers and I didn't even get to the point of discussing A-Plan pricing. Told them I'd get back to them, but actually I think I should run away.
Looking for feedback on a potential lease. I am a little leery because the salesman isn't giving me solid numbers for residual and money factors but here is the deal I think we have come to...
2014 Volvo S60 T5 Premier Plus FWD with Sport Pkg, Xenon Headlights, BLIS Pkg, and Heated Seats.
Deal includes $1000 Cash Down, $1000 Volvo Conquest Cash. Total due at signing is around $1800 ($1000 cash down, First Month's Payment, Acquisition Fee, TTL).
Payment is "Low $300's" without tax.
I know this might be difficult to calculate but seems like a good deal considering I currently pay $315 a month for a $23k Ford Focus. Thoughts?

At a CAP cost of $33,600, MF of .00001 and residual of 65%, I get a payment of $318/mo.+ tax.
Without the $1000 down from you, it's $360/mo.+tax.
Hi again. Different dealer. Looking at a lease on a 2015 V60 RD Platinum. Msrp 52525. MF .00060. Can someone verify the residual? They are quoting a sales price of 50049. Thanks!!
So, it's a 24mo, 10K/yr lease? .00060 MF and 70% residual. From the looks of it, you are using your $4200 in trade equity and a $500 rebate, and the due at signing is $0 (zero)? 23 months of $615/mo.? Or, is 1st payment and acquisition fee due at delivery along with the trade equity?
If you amortize your equity over the lease, your average monthly cost is $765/mo..(assuming zero out of pocket at signing). If you have 1st payment and acq.fee due at signing, the your average monthly is $830/mo. It's sort of reasonble.. given the short term of the lease... but, still.. a pricy car. If I was making adjustments, I'd ask for a lower price, and for the base acq.fee ($695 not $995)
The 36 month lease would be $30/mo. less, with an average monthly cost of about $100/mo. less, once trade-in equity is amortized.
Thanks for looking at this. I really appreciate the help, today and a couple of weeks ago.
So, I ended up just purchasing the car.
I was able to get them to what I was happy with as a sales price, and they got 1.7% APR for 60 months via capital one auto financing which I thought was pretty good.
The dealer was Koons Volvo in Owings Mill MD and I have to say my experience with them today was awesome.

What is the negotiated selling price? How many miles per year? How much of the $1500 is being used as a down payment?
On the surface it looks good, but we would need all the numbers to know for sure.
Also, volvo's numbers are set to expire tomorrow. June number should be available starting Tuesday.
Sorry for the missing info. Negotiated price is in high $34000, I am not sure about the exact amount. Its for 10,000 miles and $1500 includes first month payment, registration and plate change and rest of their fees. Thanks. Sara

2015, right? .00097 MF and 64% residual. Base acquisition fee is $695 (beware of markups)
Hi. The dealer or let me borrow a 2015 S60 R Platinum with heated seats and BLIS. I'd hate to give it back. MSRP is $48,375. Please tell me the MF and residual value for a 48 month lease with 10k miles. Thanks!
Hi are you sure these figures are correct? Because I got quoted $365 per month NJ taxes tags included and for 39 months on the car with MSRP of $37,320. First month payment is waived and nothing out of pocket, I get the $1,000 conquest cash. I ran the calculation with your figures I get selling price of $31,000s, over $6,000 off MSRP seems a bit crazy to me.
The above question (2015 vs 2015.5 residual) is still unanswered. I am about to lease a 2015.5 s60 premier with BLIS and Convinience (MSRP $39,675). What are the residuals for 36/12, 39/12, 36/10 and 39/10, and what is the Money Factor (top tear credit)?
So I'm looking into getting an S60 AWD Premier and I even though I am currently leasing my car, I wasn't really familiar with the whole lease process, but I want to be ready this time around. I checked True Car with my employer (I have no idea if this even makes a difference lol), but came up with this:
MSRP: $40,325 Dealer Price$4,363 off for $35,962.
Can you assist me with the best price for this?
What is the August MF for top tier credit, 10K/36 mo, residuals?
I also currently lease a BMW and be looking to switch, so I'd be eligible for conquest, correct? Also, no money down.

For 36 months, the residual is 60%/61%. Subtract 2% for 39 months.

2015: .00020 MF and 60% residual. With the MSRP and selling price you give, the payment would be $339/mo. plus tax. That's exclusive of acq.fee, tax, title registration and dealer fees.

How is my deal? I'm in Ohio. I believe they are marking up the money factor, not sure how much and how large of an effect that has? Thanks
The base MF is .00020, so you are correct is believing the dealer has marked it up on you.
How much of the $3,000 is going to actual down payment? This is not something we recommend, as if the car is stolen or totaled, you would be out that money.

Hi - I'm looking at a V60 but thought I'd post here since there doesn't seem to be a separate V60 Lease forum thread.
Don't think I'm being quoted the most favorable terms, but I'm pretty new to leasing....

I'm guessing they won't negotiate down to the base rate, but is there a reasonable middle ground that you see *over* the base rate?

Term: 24
Rate: .00111 - comments below
MSRP: 45000 - I think this is the Max Residualizable MSRP they are using
Residual: .72 - seems right from what I read above

ACQ Up Front: NO
Trade: 4200
Govt Fees 127.50
Tax: 1948.92
Doc Fee: 499
Doc Up Front: NO
Sec Deposit: 0
Total Init Payment: 4200 - told the first payment comes out of the trade value, then the rest goes to "buying down" the lease.
Adj Residual 32400
Monthly Payment: 670.41 (23 remaining payments - inc taxes)

Thanks Michaell, are these numbers the same for T5 with out premier? If not, can you kindly provide those as well. Thank you in advance.

2015: .00020 MF and 60% residual. With the MSRP and selling price you give, the payment would be $339/mo. plus tax. That's exclusive of acq.fee, tax, title registration and dealer fees.
I don't have the conquest information.

Without Premier: 2015, subtract 2% from residual. 2015.5, subtract 1% from the residual.

Hello, I'm looking at a 15 Volvo s60 Drive e premier. FWD 12k miles
3000 down 345mo inc taxes 36 mo.
MSRP 37870
Retail 33770
mf- .00060

How is my deal? I'm in Ohio. I believe they are marking up the money factor, not sure how much and how large of an effect that has? Thanks
The base MF is .00020, so you are correct is believing the dealer has marked it up on you.
How much of the $3,000 is going to actual down payment? This is not something we recommend, as if the car is stolen or totaled, you would be out that money.
