I would think one of the important steps will be painting the drilled holes to keep rust from developing. Since the painted area is covered, you probably could even use a rust preventative paint.

I'm not of much help but a call to a few body shops should give you an answer.
The directions specify that you start with a smaller bit, then work up to the final size. This is so you don't drill too much metal at once, and bend the sheetmetal. They also specify metric bits, fractional bits will also work fine, your basically creating holes for bolts to pass thru. You can cross reference the metric size to fractional, and use something that's very close.
I can tell you that a body shop will go to their drawer of bits, eyeball something that looks like the same diameter that the bolts are, and drill the holes. I've mounted spoilers on other cars, even spoilers that didn't have any installation instructions, drilling the holes is a no brainer step.
Mrbill
Is this an OEM spoiler? or some other manufacturer. I would not trust anything other than OEM.
Honda Spoilers
Also, the new wing for the 07s is real nice, it even says Accord across the bottom (nice touch).
Car just broken and it is a rocket!!! :P

On a different note, right after I put a clear bug deflector on my '06 Pilot, I see one on a '03-'05 Accord and it looked neat. Blended right into the hood. I'm not sure how well the bug deflectors work on the cars as much as the SUV/trucks. Cars seen to already de aerodynamic enough not to warrent them, but boy it catches the eye.

P.S. - I can deal with the little "8" sticker on the rear quarter window, and I wouldn't park to much farther foward, you might catch a few fly balls.
I saw an Accord with a bug deflector, but it wasn't clear. Looked very strange on a car. Believe me bugs do stick to the hood, and if you leave them on for a couple days, they are next to impossible to get off (hence the bra in second pic). A bug deflector would protect only the hood, and not the front bumper. The nose mask can be a pain in the *** to put on and take off, so it hasn't been on much since "love bug" season ended.
PS: Go Junior!!! 8
Anyone have any thoughts on the tail lamp lenses from the Hybrid being put on the std Accord sedan.

You can see my '06 Pilot on my Carspace (click below). I'm planning on adding accessories here and there, plus doing the before / after pictures with each thing I add.

Nice Pilot. I'm thinking about getting a Ridgeline, and it will probably be the Amazon Green. I like that color.
I know the silver is one of the more popular colors, but it was down to either this or the dark blue, and the blue was too dark for either my wife or myself. I would rather have a nice Hawaiian Blue (Hint), but the silver works also. My wife would have loved either a Packer Yellow or Packer Green. Guess you can tell there is a rivalry in our household. :shades:

Blue is a good color, but it has to be the right color, and shade blue, if you know what I mean. The Accord blue is not it.
I got the Black because at the time (late 03) they didn't have much of a selection in EX V6. So it was either Black or that ugly red. Not my type of red either. Black looks great when it's clean, but it's hard to keep it that way.
As far as other accessories, I would give a thumbs up for the window visors, and a thumbs down on the moonroof deflector, and a "it's your decision" on the nose mask. The nose mask doesn't look too bad on black, because you can hardly see it. On a silver car it would kind of stand out, like the mud guards would (they don't come in body color). Lately I've been just wiping the bugs off every other day, instead of going through all the nose mask hassle.
PS: NICE CAR!! And if you have any questions about the car, I may be able to help. I bought the Service Manual from H and A too. The owner's manual doesn't give all the details, and I like to do my own maintenance.
I am new to this forum. I want to know has anyone done retrofiting the headlight. I m thinking of using TSX HID set and retrofit in my Accord OEM headlight. Anyone know the place that can do it in LA area. I found some forum showing detail how to retrofit yourself. But i want to do with professionals. The reason I am using TSX set is It is DOT approved.
I have 06 Accord EX 2.4L I4 engine. What will be the cost effective way to boost the power? What are the options i can do to get more power from this engine.
Thanks...

Has anyone else put on a Nose Mask and experienced this issue? How did you get the tabs in? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The only problem with magnetic masks is they hold moisture under them. The little ribbons for the back of your car don't hold as much moisture, but if left on long enough can stick to / peel off your paint. If you do go the magnetic mask route, my advise would be take it off at least 1 - 2 times a week and wipe both the paint and the magnetic back.

I don't use the edge of the knife, only the flat, smooth sides. The part where the flat part transitions into the handle is used as a wedge to open the gap just a little. It will be next to impossible to do it (get the tabs in) without opening the gap with something. Good luck
As far as the magnetic material, I think that I'll try the mask, as I have already purchased it. I know that some people say that the mask will do damage too, but I want to do something to protect from all of the rocks that get thrown up at the front of the car... not to mention the bugs too (boy does a new Accord attract them).

Thanks again for all the suggestions and help!

* Door edge guards -- dont trust kids to not bang into the next car
* Fender wall trim -- hopefully some protection from narrow garage door opening
* Splash guards
* US Spec ipod interface
May go for 3M's paint protection film too. Any other good suggestions?
Thanks!
1) is it really worth 500 for this luxury. I do live in the Northeast so winters are cold
2) should i get it installed away from the dealer to pay less money.
3) is it going to void my entire warranty if i buy it elsewhere and not at the dealer.
4) any suggestions of which one i should get.
thx in advance
IMHO, no. You really shouldn't be warming your car up. With today's cars you should start driving on a cold engine and take it easy while it warms ups. Letting it idle wastes gas.
2) should i get it installed away from the dealer to pay less money.
It will probably cost less at an electronics shop.
3) is it going to void my entire warranty if i buy it elsewhere and not at the dealer.
No. You warranty will remain intact unless they can prove that the remote starter is what caused the issue you want covered under warranty.
4) any suggestions of which one i should get.
No.
