$22,100 is before TTL right? With alarm/mp3 blah blah it does look like a super deal.
If it's in Bay Area do you care to shoot me an email with the dealer info? Even better with the break down if possible... Thanks!
Sunnyside in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Mine is a done deal and I just got the call that they found the car I want and I will be picking it up on Monday. Good luck!

What dealership did you get your quote from? Did you request it from edmunds? I'm in LA and looking for 2.4L SE Auto. I like to request a quote too.
Thanks,
bjk
fees are standard (and depend on your location) so they can't add ridiculous fees. they should include sales tax, license and registration plus a small document fee (in CA that fee is $45).
$21,225 Out the Door price. Is this a good price? Please help me out.
I am in the Seattle area, but am willing to go anywhere on the west side of the state for the best deal.
Can you tell me what you paid for this car in Washington State? And what kind of lease deal you got?
For the lease - I think last time I put $2K down, but could to $3 if that significantly improved the payment. And I usually do a 36 month lease. What money factor should I ask for?
thanks!
1. Deal is done
2. No trade-in or financing in this case
3. floor mat is standard and not dealer add-on (otherwise, even better deal)
It sounds you made a great deal. I also live in DC area and want to buy Honda 4 Cyl EX-L AT sedan within one month. Could you please give me the dealer name and the rep name? Many thanks!

I'm also buying an Accord EXL/AT 4 cyl. I'm trying to compare your quote with a purchase in MO so your cost of tax and tag is not important to me. What is your total cost that the dealer gets? This just includes vehicle cost plus, delivery, documentation, prep or whatevery else the dealer tacks on, but without tax, title or license cost that the dealer (or you) pays to the state. Every state has different tax, title and license costs (TTL).

I sent an email to every dealer in Western Washinton, asking for their very best quote on the lease, including all terms. About 4 came back with quotes, two of which were very competitive. I went back and forth a couple times to get the best deal.
I got the vehicle from Seattle Honda. The internet sales rep was extremely responsive, not pushy, and he came back the quickest with the best deal - I only had to get him to drop the price by $100 when another dealer offered to give it to me at invoice cost.
The dealers are very polite, likable, no pressure, no gimmick, no hidden cost, a pleasure to deal with and most important of all offer great price – about $900 to $1 below invoice.
I bought my car in two days. One day in getting quotes and half a day in getting the car.
I wanted a car with stability control. I first looked at Camry, thinking that it is the latest design with the latest safety features. In contrast, Honda accord is an old design near the end of the model year. Internet research supported this view.
However, for Camry, only the highest trim XLE-V6 has VSC. The cheapest is $27.5K. This is with $100 over invoice and with a dealer installed side molding $600. I almost bought it thinking that it was hard to get a $100 over invoice deal for Camry. But I walked away from it thinking with $30K, I could buy an Accura. Why not check out Accura before deciding. The test drive and the wood trim of the Camry did not impress me.
When I went home, I found that the SE-V 6 has stability control and curtain airbag. I sent out asking for quote emails. First I used Edmund, it didn’t have good results, I received only one or two quotes. I then follow the following procedure and have fantastic result.
1) went to Honda’s website and type in zip code to locate dealers near this zip code.
--- it came back with page 1, 2, . etc.
2) filled in a form stating what I was interested in SE-V6
3) went o to each of the dealer and click
“request for quote”. I could only do one dealer at a time. But the form would repeat itself. I copied the dealers into a Word file so I know to whom I have made request for quotes.
4) I sent out to about 10-15 dealers in the morning. By night, I have all their replies. However, some refused to give quote. About half did and with Great Price.
5) In the next morning I called up one of them to confirm the quote. The quote was about 900 to 1000 below the invoice. But the doc fee was $290. Some dealers do charge $150 doc fee.
Cost:
a)Invoice price(from Edmund) -$1K
b)Destination $590
[(a)+(b) ]*1.07 (include tax in NJ)
Reigistration $240 (for 4 years)
Tire tax $7.50
Doc fee $290
Above was what I told over the phone and was what I paid. When I was in the showroom, they were polite, helpful and courteous. I couldn’t believe this. The finance guy thought that my insurance won’t start until later and wanted to buy a 20-day insurance for me at $140 (they pay)! And there was no pressure in buying anything from them at all.
The only regret I have is that their business was so good that I have to wait a long time for them to finish preparing my car (just off the truck).
The car’s performance way exceeds my expectation. It has side molding and it didn’t cost me $600. In comparison with the Camry, I saved $7.5K and have a car exactly what I wanted. For Camry, I feel like I am driving a family car with the Accord SE, I feel like I am driving a sportier car. The SE has a wider Michelin tire and is fun to drive. However, it does have one less air bag than the Camry (knee airbag). For 7.5K, I can live with it.
You can get VSC on the cheapest 4-cyl Camry CE - and every other Camry. A honda dealer must have given the above info - or a Toyota dealer that wanted to sell an XLE-V6.
There are a limited number of actually produced option combinations that the Toyota factories produce each year regardless of what the option list says on paper.
thanks,
How do you think about it?
Thanks
