would you offer dealers under invoice like $500? whatever the packages i get or add on?
thanks!
I have not called Anderson back but in the meantime I got another price for a 2008 EX-L from another Baltimore dealer,
O'Donnell Honda.
I spoke with the salesman Dave Roe. His price
EX-L 4 cyl = $24063
EX-L V6 = $26051
As you discovered with Anderson, the prices at O'Donnell were for special ordered cars. All the cars in stock at O'Donnell had a $499 package added to them which included wheel locks, a protection package and some other item. Dave told me that a car could be ordered without the $499 package.
Someone else mentioned that this might be a slow year for car sales and this might trigger additional factory discount incentives in a few months. I happen to beileve that there is a real possibility for this.
I live in Florida for most of the year, near Fort Myers. The dealers there do not give any deals near those I have gotten in the Baltimore/Washington area.
The dealer will do this to all cars in stock so if the buyer wants the car immediately he/she will have to pay more. The dealer might discount the price but the discount is almost meaningless since the dealer has already added perhaps $1000 or more in phoney options. So with a $1000 discount the buy is still paying full list price.
Also Honda's powertrain warranty is now I think 5 year 60,000 miles which for most of us is very generous.
Right now, after going to 3 dealerships and spending alot of time negotiating, they've offered to let me lease it for $360 (this includes taxes and everything) a month for 36 months, 12k miles a year, with $3,000.00 down (which includes all the dealership fees, acquisition fees, lease fees, taxes, tags title and first month's payment).
Sound like a good deal?
I really don't need navigation or moon roof.
Here are the 2 prices I have been quoted so far for an LX model: $20,390 and $20,500.
Also, what should I pay for a deck lid spoiler for this car when I get it?
Lastly, what color does everyone like. I am leaning toward the gray or black. I think black looks the nicest when clean but it's hard to keep it clean.
You need to wait(if you can) the $1000 off the invoice price at least to buy.
EXL V6 target price: $24,588 or less
EXL V6 With Navi: $26,088 or less :surprise:
AS LONG AS buyers are on strike, the dealers will low their price. During the interim, buy used Hondas and wait for the price drop. :P
So, you got $25,551 before the package then.
I'm planing to put 12K down with my credit card(0% interest until 2009 summer) and finance the rest of it.
Any inputs?
Thanks!
I would encourage you ask whether your credit card company can give you a "LIFE TIME" balance transfer rate. This 0% thing is very tricky, you need to set aside at least 50% of the toal borrowing into a high yield CD or savings account like ING or Emigrant to avoid any default in payment.
The best thing you can do is to WAIT until Honda gives $1000 or $2000 incentive. I do not believe they can sell many vehicles this year or 2008. You will have better deal ahead.
I added $595 interior and exterior color leather and every thing in between protection. also added $750 6/75000 miles warranty.
You may be can get it for a little bet less

Hope they announce a special finacing program soon. 5.64% seems still high to me. 3.9% would be sweet.
I applied for and received a new credit card with 0.0% balance transfers for 12 months, and no fees on the balance transfer, so I am using that credit line to pay off the new auto loan. I have to make the minimum credit card payments each month, and have to pay off the total credit card amount within 12 months before the APR goes sky high. This year my taxes are going to be done extra early! :surprise:
I have seen those credit card deals where the purchases OR the balance transfers are at 0.0% for 12 months, but I could not find a dealership who would accept more than $3,000 on the credit card, since they are charged a percentage by the credit card companies for each transaction. So, I went with the 0.0% balance transfer rather than on new purchases.
Most of the time, the final comes out to within $100 of published invoice, which is still a steal for the coupe.
By the way, just wondering what you paid for the 2007 Accord EX-L V6?
thanks.
I have a 2006 Honda Accord EX V6 sedan which is on a 2yr lease with 15k/yr. My lease ends Dec 12, 2007 and my car has been kept in great condition, no one has ever sat in the back of the car, the current mileage on the vehicle is 23,800 miles. My question is when I go back to the dealer and decide to lease another Honda is their any way I can ask the dealer for more money for my lease return and use my lease return as leverage in the negotiation. Can the dealership buy my lease return? Thank you very much.
Fun to drive, but not the price.
??? The Acura TL has never been propelled by anything other than its 2 front wheels, just like the Accord.
EX-L with mats, splash guard and wheel locks for under $25K OTD. Is this a good deal? Or should I be looking for a V6 with leather near that price?
Thanks,
Alex
$26550 should be EXL V6 qith Navi
Right on.... some people have paid MSRP or a few bill less however $26550 should be the sweet spot.
That price is on the high side for an 07...$21 even should be OTD MAX..
