2015 Ford Explorer Sport lease numbers

Looking at the 2015 or a 2016 Explorer Sport. I can get the 2015 for $44,000 in Black. He wants $611 for the payment though on 36/18k. Seems WAY too high. Also, asked about MSD's and he didn't know. Does Ford offer them?

I got my Lexus at $49k, tax, title, first month, 36/18k, with $4500 in MSD's for $442. Using that as my benchmark.

Pretty clear that Ford doesn't hold the same resale value, but that isn't my problem, right? Any suggestions?

We don't have any residual values from Ford, but the dealer can't modify them. And yes, the resale value directly impacts the size of your payment.

$44,000 x 50% = $22,000, or $611/mo ($22,000 depreciation over 36 months)

$44,000 x 60% = $26,400, or $489/mo ($17,600 depreciation over 36 months)

No way should you compare your Lexus lease to Ford ... Ford doesn't do MSD's

Doesn't look like the $2000 is a downpayment, but your total due at signing.. I didn't use any of that as a CAP reduction, because we don't know the breakdown.
