How'd you manage to find one with nav? I'm going to be moving from the Baltimore-Washington area to the south (Alabama) in about 6 weeks, and I've had no luck finding a nav-equipped G35 down there.
The new Saab 9-3 2003 interior is just awesome, all leather, with prices starting at 28K and rising to 42K and some 0-60 times equal with the G. Though it won't hit the showrooms until Sept.
I used to use AutoStick in my 300M all the time including for braking purposes (not something stupid, just a little speed shaving-off). Never had any problems with tranny life.
I used the SportShift in my Acura TL-S occasionally but the tranny broke and had to be replaced. Now I am not using SS at all trying to see if the new tranny will last longer in full auto.
ajayme: I'd love to hear your impressions from owning the A6 and 328i. In what ways would you say the G35 beats these cars hands down? They are both gorgeous cars and ones I considered strongly before deciding on my G. I do know one guy who had a 2001 A6 2.7T. It was such a lemon that Audi offered to give him a brand new 2002 at no charge, or buy back the 2001 for every penny he paid for it. He took the money and ran to Infiniti for a G. Which A6 do you have?
It WOULD be nice if MMSP did do Autocross/SOLO II as I would like to see how well the car handles at the limit all the time and see how much skill I've lost...
smu1976 - The base 330i has the SAME interior as one costing $5K more... unless you get the sport package at $1400. Since the G35 doesn't offer (IMO) a decent sport package, you won't see any interior upgrades... they are already bundled in at the base package cost to get economies of scale.

1999 1/2 A6 2.8-All options, no major probs. only the fuel sender recall. Dealer service for the most part has been good. Always got a loaner. Great interior and rattle free. Rotten resale.
Would I buy another Audi? Possibly, especially the new A4 Convertible or TT.
1999 BMW 328i-Great driving car, dealer service is rotten. TAke the car in for the same problem 4 times-moon roof inside shield rattles, air conditioner sucks in hot weather. Dealer only supplies loan car for 6 visits. Body,Chassis and engine great, interior design perfect and the car is rock solid. Would I buy another BMW? Highly unlikely due to the dealer network.
It was really tough to find the G35 with Nav. The dealer in PA that I found claimed that they were the only ones in the North East US with one. I'm not sure whether it was a bargaining tool or whether it was true. My guess is that Infiniti will start to make more with Nav because they had no clue that it would be this popular.
-------My lease on my A6 is ending in October. I know what I won't be getting again! ------- ajayme
The biggest difference between my 99 Audi A4 and my G35 is that I very much look forward to driving the G35 every day. The love affair with Audi did not last long. I now look forward to stop lights, especially if I'm first in line. With my G35, I'm not expected to show up at the dealership every 5000 miles and be with out my car for the day. Almost every time I took my A4 in to the dealership for a simple oil change, they would screw something up. I'd take it in a few weeks later only to find they had to order the part. One more trip and they'd finally get it right. A few months later something else would go wrong but I'd wait for the next 5000 mile servicing. They'd change the oil but they wouldn't have the part for the existing problem. Go back a few weeks later and they'd fix the problem but break something else. Just before I wanted to sell it the "Check Airbag" light goes on and Audi wants $600 to repair it even though it was just out of warranty. I know all Audi owners don't (didn't) have the same problems I had, but just knowing I'm driving a solid, well built machine, that's so much more fun to drive....well, anyway, this is what owning a new car is all about.
Still waiting, so I built a page to look at daily.

On a side note I was at the dealer last weekend for a car wash and my salesman comes up to me and says "you sure were lucky to get a car with NAV, we have only had two and the ther one just was sold". I got mine about two weeks after the debut of the G35. From what he said they are hard to come by. I highly recommend it to those of you who are debating on wether to get it. It is expensive but the G loaded is still less then any of the competition. Enjoy.
Sorry for the long post, but it's Friday and I have a very long 85 minutes of work left, before I can go home. TGIF
Our local Infiniti dealer has 10 G35s in stock, and all have "$500 off" tags on the mirrors, and the cloth one they have is marked down $1000. Not sure what their bottom line would be if you showed you were a serious buyer, but it does demonstrate they're willing to deal.
Another interesting note: they have a rather sharp-looking 328i with sport pkg and auto trans sitting in front, no plates but also no window sticker. Made me wonder if they borrowed this car from their colleagues at the european store to have on hand for comparison drives...
Word has it that Road and Track did a sport sedan comparo test with the G35 and several other sport sedans for the upcoming July issue, and the G35 came out on top...even above BMW. If true, that would be a nice laurel for Infiniti.
Oh, I live down on St. Philip at Vaughn.

I am out in Livermore and also drive the 580/680 corridor. I'll have to watch out for another g with wings flying down the road instead of just touching the pavement.
Seriously, I have not seen many G's while on Bay Area highways. Once I did see a very cool Desert Platinum verison with a beautiful woman at the wheel. I thought, there goes a great car, and look at the babe at the wheel .. then I realized I was driving my wifes Windstar (had to go to Home Depot) and it was my car and my wife... isn't life cool sometimes
Happy Driving

Have you seen the Letter from the Town Hall Manager on the Town Hall Welcome page? If not, you might want to follow that link to have a look.
And hang on to your seats. Change is never easy - for any of us - but resolving the Search problems we've had will be worth the pain.

On the other hand, Acura never raised the price of the TL significantly after its introduction, even though, like the G35, it was a bargain and in great demand.
