seriously, no bulge more than ample room and also funny thing the steering wheel has a notch in it on both sides for everyone that likes to drive holding the wheeel in two fingers thumb and first finger, really neat and comfortable
Maybe the 24 mpg figure we've all been quoting is just an estimate?
The mileage figures for the G sound about right to me.
10 more days
Also, has anyone played with environment controls much? the photos make it look like the temperature setting is on the far side of the console from the driver. I'm curious how much of a reach it is, and how does the system work with the dual zone option?
I was curious how similar some systems might be to other models like the I35 or Q45. I tried briefly looking to see if the owners manuals were posted anywhere online, but couldn't find them. I was mainly curious how much the systems could be customized -- like modifying the keyless entry to activate/deactivate silently, or how times you have to push the button to unlock all doors.

Also, more about the back seat, especially behind the driver: being a "big guy" (like me) were you able to sit comfortably or .... behind the seat when you had the front adjusted for you?
When I called the local (60 miles) Infiniti dealer last night to arrange a drive, he told me about 2 weeks (like everyone else), and said that he has 38 scheduled for April, with all but 9 already sold! (Be careful of the price, buckos!)
Take care.

Isn't there any ladies in this forum? I sure like to hear the lady's point of view.
Anyway, you asked about the difference between all season and summer tires. My limited understanding is that summer tires are gripppy with low profile, so they perform nicely on dry surface. However, they are horrible in snow and ice. All season tires perform better in snow but not so as great as summer tires on dry surface. Also, high performance, summer tires wear much faster.
Enthusiasts with deep pockets would switch tires and rim twice a year when season changes.
Am I correct? You tire expert out there please jump in.
Any ways here goes... the steering is tight and solid , more like European, than Japanese feel.
The car has tilt steering but not telescopic, as is common in Japanese cars, HOWEVER, interesting twist, the steering wheeel and guage clusters, i.e. speedometer and rpm's are one piece, so that when you lower the steering wheel the gauges move in synch as one piece, so you never get to the point where the sterring whell is blocking your view og the gauges. This is new and I really like it as I like my sterring wheel very low in my lap
.
Now for back seat, If you are familiar with the Q, the drivers seat automatically moves as far back as it can on the track when you exit the car. When you re-enter and put the key in it returns the the memory setting which you have chosen. I have short arms so I dont sit all the way back besides all the way back is far back.
I do have long legs, all I an tell you is as I do in every car I buy I set the front seat to my desired place and then I hop into the back seat . In this case there was ample room, however there is a lip to get out of back seat, so one has to lift their foot over this lip to exit car.
No question, front seat is comfortable and ample room.
A couple of things I forgot to say on previous posts
A) I found outside mirrors to be small, will take getting used to
c) There is no memory settings on the passenger seat.
Thats it for now.
Getrag does have a six-speed that can handle a V-8 but it's ratios are not much better and it's so expensive that it's use is limited to high line models like the 540i6, M3, and M5. I think the solution is to use the American Tremec which will give acceleration and low cruise rpm. Close ratio gearing is great for racing and short European road trips, but not for long American roads. Modern 4 valve, wide torque band engines do not need close ratio gearing. And when we put it in fifth, it's all over. It's snooze and cruise time!
I did se the 16" wheels, they looked fine, the 17" are low profile and the wheel are pretty opened, you have a clear view of the brake pads and calipers, I won't be using these wheels in the winter I can assure you of that, would probably kill myself.
The 16" wheeels are sharp.
And keeping up with all the sexual double-talk, I now know why Infiniti named this car what it did - it hits the guys "G" spot (okay, that was corny). But no matter how good the car, I still do not think it beats a romp in the hay with Pam Anderson or Heidi Klum. Unless, it is a romp in those reclining rear seats. LOL!
gab, you have it right: get the summer tires and change out with winter when it gets cold. Good job btw on the review.
Stooge: note that summer tires are not only worthless in snow and ice, but they are also garbage when it gets real cold - even on dry pavement. The rubber compounds on summer tires turn to rock at low temps and can be downright dangerous if you expect to be able to handle like you would on a warm summer day. Winter tire compounds are quite soft by comparison and remain compliant at very low temp. At high temps, they practically melt (which is why they have such a low tread life). If you live anyplace where the winter temps frequently drop below freezing, two sets of tires are the only way to go. And, contrary to popular belief, you are not really spending any more money on tires since you are just spreading the treadwear over two sets of rubber. The wheels on the other hand.....
HiC
Gandhim3, It is too bad I have to agree with you. I tried but can't think of anything that can beat a romp in the hay with Pam Anderson or Heidi klum... or Liv Tyler...
Well, better get my mind back to automobiles...
Take care.

I can think of one - how about all three at the same time?
I was looking at the G for a friend that I have been "consulting" for, that almost bought a 3.2TL (base) last month, and has just been waiting for the supply of '03s to spool up. I have now turned them on to the G35, and have managed to convince myself that this might finally be the car to replace my Maxima.
Local dealer (NJ) said they will have a car in the showroom 3/12, and the car will be available 4/1. Not sure if that is the first sale date only, or if you can test drive before that.
Will be an interesting visit on the 12th. Possibly expensive too, but I've been down this road before with expectations.
2020 Acura RDX tech SH-AWD, 2023 Maverick hybrid Lariat luxury package.
The problem with your idea is that you are still not thinking out of the box (pun intended).
Are all Texans like you? Can only think about women and horses, eh, I mean cars.
Boy, does that ever bring up some nasty images in my head. I wish those three would make a porno flick together. Woo-wee!! :-) LOL
BTW, how do you insert a quote in italics on this forum?

The fantasies of which Pat complains sure makes one wonder if some have been too cold too long this winter.

Oh yeah you ordered STS so your car should have been delayed by that, yet it's a the port, wierd.
My delay is supposedly err...for sure (Samuel) cause of the NAV.
NorcalMike: I am in the Sacto area as well. Would like to compare notes which dealer you are working with.
All: Anyone have any update the delivery time of the STS G35s? The Infiniti website, as noted earlier, now lists them as limited availability. For those of us that ordered in early January, waiting another two months is a grim option - even if the car is great... Any method as to how they will allocate the limited number due to arrive?
I have to say, with only two weeks to go to first delivery, there seems to very little info out there from the dealers - only a select few have any information at all. Odd for such a significant rollout for Infiniti.
Either they did not print enough (more likely), or the demand was so unbelievably great that they ran out of them.
Any of you buyers get a brochure? A FULL brochure, not a dinky pamphlet. I would be curious to see how they break down the various options versus the web site - which forces you to select things you don't want.
My ride in the g35 last night was great. I have to agree with gabman - it's an exciting car. I've been trying to pin down the difference. Most other cars in this class have a cabin - a big ole roomy space on wheels. Even the BMW 3 series has a "sedan" feel. The Merc is a big lounge on wheels.
Sitting behind the wheel ( and even riding in the passenger seat) in the g35 seems much more like a cockpit. You sit low and the road is in your face. The windshield seems broad, although i'm not sure that's real. Because the hood drops so rapidly, you see the road, not the hood, except for the headlights. The xenon lights are very crisp. You can almost convince yourself that you're in a coupe - it's more sport than sedan. Much like the view out the hallowed Porsche. This car feels like a sports car for those of us who want that experience and still be able to invite some friends to dinner. And hopefully make them envious.
Acceleration from 0 is hard, pushing you wayyy back in the seats. Lane changes and turns at high speeds don't faze it - it really hugs the road.
Unlike BMW, road and wind noise are minimal. And I know how much those bimmers love those sounds. You don't have to tell me. But i've driven japanese too long to love noise. And it rides as smooth at 90 as 50.
The cabin is good looking at night. The amber gauges read well.
The ride is smooth and quiet as a Mercedes, quick and agile as a BMW. If the g35 is as reliable as infiniti historically is, this is going to be one popular car.
Of course, this is written under the spell of first love. So, much could change. But this is one excitig car, when a 3 series was a disappointing test drive.Particularly when the BMW salesman warned me of the high cost of maintenance during the test drive!
I can only imagine what a six speed or a coupe will be like.
