here is my 2 cents on the new G37 Leasing here in LA county area.

    2009 G37 journey
    w/ Premium, and navi package.
    Annual miles: 12000
    36 month lease
    Residual: 58%
    money factor: 0.00175

    total drive off $3600
    35mo of $485
this is out of door price, include tax, and fees.

    what do you guys think?
  • robertw477robertw477 Member Posts: 188
I get no lease loyalty with Infiniti. However the best price I got on a G37 journey sedan with premium and nav was 499 a a month. At closing $1500.00 which included first payment tax fees and the Nissan 700 bank fee. Knowing that Infiniti usually has lease loyalty programs I was close to a deal. Went to the Acura TL instead. This was for a 39 month lease 12K miles. Also I figured at 36 months I might not need tires on the Acura. With 39 on the Infiniti tires will be a certainty and they are not cheap to replace. Also end of lease fee on Honda/Acura. Good Luck. The Fl Infiniti dealers are pretty tight on price even though business is soft and clearly so. It is basically a numbers game. All dealers are stocking less cars and new models are out shortly.

Why was there so much extra down?
Why was the money factor so high? With good credit(?) it is .00127 =3.05%
Here is my recent lease (this last Tues) deal in the San Fernando valley to compare..

    G37 Sedan
    12,000 miles
    36 months
    Premium package
    NO NAV
    Illuminated kick plates
    Glass breakage sensor
    Wood Trim interior
    Cargo net
    56% residual
drive off was $1643. including the $595 bank fee, DMV,title, tax first month of
    $434 +tx=476.
There is also a stupid Diposition fee when you return the car of $395. Try to negotiate this by lowering the sell price. "the fee is firm".

oh..ya, this is Coupe G37. not 4 doors
  • flashzoomflashzoom Member Posts: 64
well, I am not too sure why. but that's the rate I got on the residual and money factor, from 3 dealerships.

I purchased my car near the end of June, please send me a PM with information if you have not used Amex Referral code. Thanks,

BTW, I purchased my in Houston: Sewel Infiniti; the best experience. Black, Black leather, Nav, premium, nav, wood: 1K under invoice.

Does anyone know if below Invoice Deals are available in Houston now?
  • msu79gt82msu79gt82 Member Posts: 541
Got to see the Red-Seated Premier Edition last weekend and we test-drove one. Not sure the convertible is worth $10K over the hardtop (similarly featured incl. hardtop incentives). I do wish the hardtop had cooled seats though.

I closed a deal this weekend on the car below but I am not sure if they gave me the correct money factor on the deal. Another dealership quoted my a money factor of .00176 over email but I closed the deal with a money factor of .00195. I assumed the first dealership made a mistake but I am hoping someone could validate this for me.

    09 G37 Coupe Journey
Prem, Nav, Iluminated Name Plate, Impact Sensor
    MSRP 43,385
    Selling Price: 39,000
    Residual 59%
    Money factor .00195
    3yr/36k
$563 /month total payment (CA Sales tax 9.25%)

Is that the correct money factor or did I get hosed somehow??
  • msu79gt82msu79gt82 Member Posts: 541
I've read a lot of recent posts about below invoice pricing on the Coupe. Edmunds TMV is currently $42,022 (metro-Houston) for the '09 G37 Journey w/ Prem, Nav, Tech, and Wood. This must not include the current $2500 Cash-to-Dealer Incentive or else there is not real discount at all. Figuring in the $2500 Incentive the price could be about $1350 below Invoice. I'm skeptical - is this reasonable in metro-Houston?
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
Few people qualify for the $2500 dealer cash because they take the low finance rate or are leasing. TMV is taking the average of most people not taking the cash, and the few taking the cash

First of all, I doubt that you will be able to get Prem, Nav, Tech, Wood. Wood is the hardest to find with all these other options. I wanted that in Houston, Sedan plus Black/Black and they had to ship my car from San Diego.
  • g35fung35fun Member Posts: 3
Scottsdale Infiniti sold me a 2009 Journey Coupe (Black/Graphite) with premium, sport package and splash for $2,500 under invoice. This is invoice minus the manufacturer's price support for July. I did my research and told the dealership that I could buy the car through the American Express member car buying service that uses Zag at some California dealerships that are Zag participants for the same price. Scottsdale said they would match it. Also, I found financing at Bank of America and Infiniti matched the interest rate. I am very happy with my transaction.
  • mjdvmjdv Member Posts: 14
That's a good deal. So, you were able to use the $2500 cash to dealer rebate to get it way below invoice.

What was the interest rate that they matched? What was the original interest rate they offered?

    Thanks.
  • g35fung35fun Member Posts: 3
The interest rate is a function of my credit score, so my interest rate is not relevant to you. They came down 3 tenths of one percent. That is 0.30% to equal the bank rate.
  • mjdvmjdv Member Posts: 14
    Sounds good.

I know BofA offers one of the lowest rates. If they could not have matched the interest rate from BofA, do you think you they would still offer that price if you opted for BofA? or would you lose the $2500 incentive. Obviously, if you loose the $2500, then taking the infinity rate or rebate would be better.

The reason I'm asking is if the $2500 is contingent on using the infiniti financing or whether this is strongly suggested only.

Here is how it is quoted in the incentive and rebate section:

"$2500 Dealer cash may not be combined with 0% APR - 3.9 % APR and vehicle must be financed through the manufacturer's captive finance company. "

    Thanks.

The residuals in July were quoted to me as follows:
    Coupe: 36/12 59% MF .00176
    39/12 58% MF .00195
You were charged the higher interest rate for the 39-month lease I believe. Can you detail your inceptions/OOP that you paid?

G37 with sport, has sport options, like suspension, limited slip diff etc. G37sport comes with a manual transmission only.

I just picked up my 2009 G37xS on June 30th.

Infiniti has a promotion right now where a current owner referring a friend to buy a new Infiniti will get the current owner $150 and the new owner $500 in American Express gift cards.

    Here are the details....

    http://www.infinitiusa.com/rewards
    or
    https://www.nnainfo.com/Rewards/

You have to get your car through an infiniti dealership between March 23, 2009 and June 30, 2009. Send me a PM if you are interested so we can do this together. You need a code for this btw.

    Thanks,

I have a quote of $40,374 + TTL for 2009 G37 journey coupe + Prmium, Tech, Navigation Pkgs. This is is about 300 below invoice. Any idea if this is the best we can get in this region ? (I live in southern california)

    Thanks so much everyone.
  • jtlajtla Member Posts: 388
I have not been actively shopping. However, checking on carsdirect.com with your specs (plus Sport package as it is required for Tech Package), the price comes to $39,698. This is for SoCal and without any negotiation.

My gf just purchased a 2009 G37 Sport, 6MT fully loaded except for tech package. It also included illum door sills, impact alarm, trunk mat/net, rear spoiler, and splash guard. Located here in northern cali (bay area), she got it for $40,101 plus fees. Msrp was about $44.6k. This was about a couple hundred below invoice I believe. Did she strike a decent deal? Im starting to think we could have dipped into the $39k region for this car.
  • members78members78 Member Posts: 140
to bizzy, i think your gf got a pretty good deal, esp if she is financing or leasing. if she paid in full, then she might have been able to get a little more discount - but im not sure what the supply/demand is in north cali.

im gonna get the g37x coupe as soon as im done with my mcats, before 9/30 while theyre still offering $2500 cash to dealer incentive. i intend on paying in full to take advantage of this deal, as i sense the economy is getting better and deals like this may dry up.

to others: if you have recently purchased a g37, i would appreciate if you could briefly state what you paid. this would benefit prospective buyers like me.
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
If she walked out of there feeling like she got a good deal and is happy with the car that is all that matters. There is nothing to do about it now even if it was a lousy deal except to get bummed out. Tell her to go enjoy the car.

If you are in Utah be forewarned that Tim Dahle Infiniti dealership is unwilling to negotiate on prices even if cars sit on the lot unsold. They are in the business not to do business. In fact, they will not even talk prices over the phone or email. They do not post prices on their website so that buyers have to come in person to look at their inventory. My friend spent 8 hours trying to buy an Infiniti in this economic climate. Really?! No worries - I found that other dealerships in Denver, CA (Metro Infiniti), and D.C. area were willing to negotiate over the phone and make the buying process enjoyable and easy. Bottom line: if your local dealership will not move on price, go elsewhere.

She dropped 11k down and financed the rest at 2.9% for 60 months. Took 3-4 hours to close the deal.
  • members78members78 Member Posts: 140
biz, looks like she got a great deal. thats a lot of car for not a lot of money, and i think she took advantage of the times and got one of the better deals.

have fun with the new ride and make sure u get to drive it as well!

Dealer priced G37AWD with sport,Prem, Tech,Nav,Front Chin spoiler, rear spoiler, splash guards for $42,950 and has to order it. MSRP is $44,455 & invoice $40,645.

Does not sound as good as what I am seeing here but he has to order it.

Another dealer for the same car without the $1100 tech pk but had to trade for it was offered up at $42,142.

    What do you think?

I am going back to price with a trade in and see what price I can get.

7/23 purchased G37X, Blue Slate, sport, prem, tech, nav, rear spoiler, splash guards, couple other small accessories for $38,000. Was showroom model and they quoted price forgetting there was VentureShield installed. Stayed true to quote.

Family relative offered same deal to start and grabbed it. (couple of changes to their car - No sport, no spoiler, wood trim added, Shield included!!! )

Couple goodies coming my way for referrral
  • pavelbarchukpavelbarchuk Member Posts: 14
3-4 hours to close a deal is pretty fast. I had customers that took 8 hours and had to come back the next day just to "start" the paperwork. all that work just for a 100 dollar mini.
  • members78members78 Member Posts: 140
    Mike,

let me start by saying im not an expert when it comes to pricing, but i think you got a decent deal going on. however, like you said, others here at edmunds have scored invoice, some even below invoice, so compared to them you might be paying a little much. but the more options you must have, the less room you have for bargaining a lower price.

if youre paying in full, you could strike off $2500. i think if you finance through the bank you could get that savings. if youre leasing or financing through them, then you probably have a pretty good deal.

when i purchase mine, i plan on getting $2500 below invoice for AWD, tech, premium and NAV. will it be possible? i think so, b/c i will contact every fleet manager within a 100 mile radius and pit them against each other for my business.

best of luck - let us know the results.

    Mike,

I also wanted a loaded G37x with all those options (plus the illuminated kick plates and midnight black grill) but they're hard to find in stock at dealers. I was told by a couple of different dealers that less than 1% of cars are built like that because I guess there's not a lot of demand for cars with the appearance options (front chin spoiler, rear spoiler, illuminated kick plates, midnight black grill). I ended up getting a G37x with premium, nav, tech, sport and splash guards for $500 under invoice for $39340. The MSRP was $43525. Then I ended up buying the front chin spoiler, rear lip spoiler, illuminated kick plates for $900 from Infiniti of Scottsdale parts department (because they discount them 25%) and installed them myself. The midnight black grill would have been another $200 but I had my dealer give to me because they screwed up my paper work when I went to pick up the car. It was the last day of the month so there was no time to redo the paperwork. Assuming I had bought all 4 parts for $1100 then the total cost would have been $39340 + $1100 parts for a total of $40440. If I would have ordered the ordered the car like you, they would have charged me more because I wasn't taking a car they had in stock.

Anyway, my point is that your price for $2300 over invoice ($1500 under MSRP) doesn't seem like that good of a deal considering the current incentive on the G37 includes $2500 cash to dealer for marketing support. That means they're making $4800 on that car. Even if they sold you that car at invoice price, they'd still be making at least $2500 because they also make another 1% in dealer holdback. I'd try to get something closer to invoice price and the absolute most I'd pay is $1000 over invoice. If you have multiple dealers in your area, I'd get several more price quotes. When you bring up the $2500 in cash, I'll bet your dealer will try to tell you that they won't get it because they're ordering the car but I'm not sure if that's true. I would try to find out from Car_man or one of the other moderators on the forums if the dealer still gets the cash incentives when they special order a car.

Here is a link to the incentives for the G37 sedan. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the $2500 cash to dealer.
    http://www.edmunds.com/new/2009/infiniti/g37/101115176/incentives.html

Here's a link that explains dealer holdback and a list of the percentage for each car manufacturer.
    http://www.edmunds.com/advice/incentives/holdback/index.html

Btw, I'm glad I got the tech package for the additional safety features.

Do you have to have AWD? That adds several grand plus slightly worse performance. If you don't live in a very snowy climate then consider a set of snow tires. With stability control and snow tires or even all seasons the rear drive G should be decent in the snow. Of course if you are somewhere like northern MI or upper New England I can totally understand. Otherwise consider foregoing a few of the options, especially if you can order after the sale for a discount as earlier suggested. If you must have a certain combination and they are going to order the car especially for you, I wouldn't expect much of a discount. Good luck!

I bought the 2009 G37 Journey Sedan with Premium Pkg, spash guards and cargo net, stickered at $37,275 for $32,000 even plus TTL. It included free window tint with lifetime guarantee (they valued at $399), It also included a couple of other dealer addons.Zaltek (paint protection) and On-Gard (theft protection). I bought at Crest Infiniti on 7/11/2009 in DFW area,

I think this was a good deal, but not sure how it compares to what others have paid for similar G with options.

I asked a dealership about G37x premium, and they offered me right away dealer invoice less $2500. They even showed me the dealer invoice price of roughly $36K. I thought there was some kind of catch, so I did not take it. After doing my research and reading the forum posting, seems like the dealer is eager to get rid of the car on the lots. So I'm going to try to again and hope for the same deal, and maybe throw a few extras like tinted windows and wood trims. What do you think? You think there's a catch or the dealer is deseparate? BTW, here's a nice incentive to keep in mind. The government is giving new car purchaser a tax deduction for new car purchase in 2009. (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Vehicle Tax Deduction). With the $2500 dealer incentive and this tax deduction, it might be worth buying now.

hey king thanks for replying. i will most likely pull the trigger in september b/c the incentive and tax break are 2 good 2 pass up. but most importantly, im tired of my tsx and wanna drive the more powerful g37.

just so you know, car and driver reported the direct injection upgrade as early as 1st quarter 2010 for the new M, with the G series most likely getting it mid-cycle. here is the article link title

    Hi all,

I just traded in my 07 coupe for a leftover new 08 coupe. I was having a lot of problems with the 07, oil consumption, bad tranny, struts, etc. So I just stumbled upon a good deal on a leftover 08 coupe. It's Amathyst graphite, 6MT, with premium pack and spoiler. MSRP was 41g and I got it for 34g. Also got a decent trade in on my 07 6MT with 28k miles, they gave me 23g for it. Anyone think I got a decent deal?

Does anyone know if a late model 08 has any glitches such as the bad throttle software or anything else? I haven't really noticed anything yet except for the rumbly idle that others have mentioned. It idles almost like a small block Chevy!! :D

    Take care!

Ok, I'm looking at the G37x AWD ($35,750), destination charge ($865), and prem package & accessories ($2,615) ...total sticker price of $39,230.

Based on Edmund.com, we know know the following:
MSRP of the car is $35,750
Invoice of the car is $33,029
Note, the MSRP and Invoice pricing do not include any options.

Question1: So, should I be considering $2500 off from MSRP of $35,750 which is 33,250 or $2500 off from Invoice of $33,029 which is $30,529?

Question2: What are the correct combinations that I needed to sum up before I can substract the $2500 incentive. (I do understand that the dealer might not give up the full $2500, since it is an incentive that is given to just the dealer.)

Question3: What is a good great for this car ( G37x AWD with prem package & accessories) of $39,029?
