Thx!
Around SW OH, it seems like they have pretty good stock. But, these stores aren't even remotely as big as your dealership. They have said that they can do a dealer trade for any options, colors, models, etc.
Is VPP still a pretty good deal? Separate question, the m37x is interesting to me, too. I'm thinking with Premium package and VPP, we're in the mid $40s. Good assumption?
Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for all the help i got from this forum:

Was quoted 38,700 for car (Tax Tags and D/H not included) in metro NYC area. Thoughts??
I've never bought from them but they have great pricing online and they seem to get good dealer reviews.
Interestingly, Gunn discounts ALL of their G's online as opposed to Austin who seems to list only a limited number of specials online. Also, Gunn lists the mileage of their cars online as opposed to Austin who doesn't list mileage online. I make this last comment because I looked into a few discounted Austin G's (in prior years) only to find out they were low mileage demos which I guess can still be called new if they have never been titled. I didn't bother to go into the discussion since I wasn't interested in a car with any type of mileage.
Note: These comments are just my opinion. I have never spoken with the Gunn staff and the Austin staff was extremely friendly when I spoke with them in the past.
Let us know what/where you buy...I am just starting to search in Central Texas but have a long lead time since I want to put down a large downpayment for the purchase of a 6MT.
Anyone who has purchased an Infiniti CPO vehicle - did you receive such warranty documentation?
Thanks, Steve
Infiniti has some strict guidelines about how they allow dealers to price vehicles to the public on-line. They want to have an image of a luxury vehicle - and a bunch of price slashing does not convey that image. Those dealers who have a bunch of "cheesy" adds will be "warned" and eventually could lose their advertising assistance (which is about $100) per vehicle sold.
So, Austin is following the rules and Gunn is not....(I should note that Infiniti relaxed the rules after the stock market crashed at the end of 08 and then again after the earthquake - so they have not been enforcing things much, but they have sent out a couple of emails warning all dealers to get their websites within compliance.)
Feel free to come to Dallas...

OTD price was $39,600. Happy with the car and happy with the cost!
Sport with 41,500-49,000ml for around ~ $26,500-26,999. (both typically with premium and without navigation packages and before ~ $499-599 admin fees and before title/lic/tax). (1) Any reasons to go for Sport vs. Journey? (2) Are these prices reasonable? (3) Should I try to get lower mileage like ~30,000ml vs. 45,000-50,000ml for 2008 G37 or not - since basic warranty will be up in 6-10 month? (4) Should I target Pre-Certified G37 with extended warranty?
Reading this thread, it seems like I could do a heckuva lot better, no? It sounds like others are getting nav, sport and others thrown in for only slightly more. Anyone with recent experiences in Chicago?
Zag is a company that advertises dealership prices. The dealers pay them for leads (your name and number, etc). We, the dealers, tell Zag how much over invoice (or under) we are willing to let a car go for - they take all the dealers and average them together and put out a Target Price to their audience. It is a good program for the consumers - cuts straight to the "bottom line"....
As for the post re: invoice and how the dealer's only breaking even if selling at 1,000 below invoice (after rebate from manufacturer), that goes against everything I've come to understand re: dealer cost vs. invoice. Am I misinterpreting something here? Also, is a dealer required (or expected) to show you the factory invoice (w/ holdbacks, floor fees, etc...) if requested?
If you are around invoice or below and getting 1.9% - and you feel they are fair on your trade, then your doing great.

good deal or not?
thanks for the help
I am considering buying a 2010 G37X CPO sedan [base model – no packages] with around 20-30k miles. Dealers around the tri-state area are offering some at $29,500-32,000.
Edmunds TMV for such a car with 30k miles shows $29,199. My question is it reasonable to start negotiating at $27000 in hopes of getting a 28,000 sale price or are the prices offered competitive?
Any feedback is much appreciated.
IMO, 28K +TTL is great but it's tough to get that low. You probably can buy a 2011 BASE x for about 33.5-34K +TTL. So, in order to sell the 2010 car at 28K, the dealer needs to bring the car in at 24-25K (That's almost 10K depreciation for one year old car) + recon + CPO + about 2K profit.
I am being offered 35,620 + Taxes. How much leeway do I have ?
What are the costs included TTL ? What is the best time for buying with in next one month ?

Can anyone confirm it is indeed?
Also is Infiniti planning any major/minor changes for 2012 for G37 Journey?
Normal C & D plans are at the invoice - so August is the month to buy if your VPP (C or D plan) because you get bumped up to A plan.
You are getting a break on all equipment that is on the original MSRP.
Just go to the dealer that you like and get the car you want in the next 10 days.
Are you sure A plan promo ends at the end of the month? InsideNissan says that employee pricing is good from Aug. 2 through Sep. 30 (with a disclaimer that it's for select Nissan & Infiniti vehicles).
P.S. I know, SewellGSM had pointed it out already, but I'll repeat -- VPP pricing now extends to active & reserve US military
I went ahead and signed the contract and paid the downpayment. The car will be delivered at end of this month. Today I got a call from another dealer and when I told him that I got the exact car(with the options I want) he said he was ready to give me $500 less than VPP price. I declined as I don't want to go through the hassle of cancellation and more importantly don't want to back out as I don't think it is right thing to do. Anyways the reason I share this is that some dealers might be desperate to make sales and might be willing to negotiate a bit more on VPP price. Again I'm not complaining as I have got a really good price (VPP - already discounted) for what I think is a really good car
Does anybody have any info on what is a good price to pay for the warranties and which warranties are a good buy
I would only buy the warranty offered by Infiniti - other companies that offer extended warranties for cheaper prices usally go out of business, don't pay claims, make you pay up front and send in receipts, etc. Not worth the hassle and the risk. Infiniti does not make money on the sale of warranties - they hope to break even and keep their cusomters happy so they buy more cars from them. Dealers make a few hundred bucks when they sell the warranty; otherwise, it is not worth their time to offer them. Hope this helps.
PS The dealer who offered you a lower price after you signed up, probably was just saying that to make you 2nd guess yourself...it makes no business sense to sell a vehicle for less than you buy it for unless they were going to make it up somewhere else.
