Someone in S.A. must've heard you because they changed the way they show their pricing. ;-)

As for posting discounts vs not, I understand both sides after being in a sales finance manager role for 5+ years (high tech, not cars). As a finance manager I understand the brand image comment but as a customer I appreciate the ability to get a reasonable starting point without having to call all over Texas.

I just landed a new gig and it takes me to Plano from time to time so I will likely check y'all out when I am ready to make a purchase. It makes sense to shop Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin since I get to all of them on a regular basis.

Good luck in your search! I could only shop Houston area dealerships, talked to three out of the four (Clear Lake one never responded to me), and got my car from Sewell-Houston even though it was the farthest from me (SW is the closest). West Houston was nice enough but not really great on pricing. Southwest Houston was... well, let's just say that I'd prefer not to deal with them again

I appreciated the cookies (got the car in December 2009). But even without that, experience with Sewell Houston was so much better than elsewhere. I think, my sales lady (E.G.) used to work for you in Dallas.

Since this is a forum on buying Infiniti G37...I thought I would share some data from August. The numbers below represent an average, so some were less and some more. Keep in mind some customers bought accessories, some had trade-in, some were VPP - many factors go into each car deal. We currently rank #3 in the Nation and are located in Texas - so prices can differ in other parts of the country. We did sell more Infinitis than any dealer last month (partially because we had sales tax credits if someone chose to lease).

Averages (amount over/under invoice - keep in mind at the end of the month, we get a dealer cash kickback from Infiniti to help us stay above water.)

G25: $996 over invoice (note - there is no dealer cash on this vehicle) - sold 8 in Aug
G37 sedan: $87 below invoice - sold 70 in Aug
G37 coupe: $297 over invoice - sold 16 in Aug
G convertible: $64 over invoice - sold 6 in Aug

On the G37sedan, coupe, and convertible there was $1000 in dealer cash if you purchased (not on a lease) - this is already including in the figures above.

There is 8% mark-up with Infiniti. So, take the MSRP and divide it by 1.08 to get the cost....so if the MSRP is $61,475 then cost will be about $56, 921.

Update: Pearson Infiniti now sells and honors the Infiniti Elite Maintenance plans. As of Tuesday, I was their only customer.

I'm looking into possibly purchasing a 2010 G37 Coupe or Convertible. A dealer by me has a few on their website and I've emailed them about pricing. I don't know options, but the 2010 Coupe I like has an MSRP of 45,330 and the convertibles range from 51655 to 53185.

In your opinions what would be fair prices for these? Considering they are going on 2 years old I'm hoping to get a really good deal. I was thinking under 30k for the coupe and 33kish on the convertibles. Am I way out of the ballpark on these estimates?

Just in case anyone was interested, the dealer came back with the coupe price of 39178 and the convertible for 43890. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten those prices in January! It's very clear why they still have 2010s on their lot.

I would compare the prices to pre-owned Convertibles, they should be a little higher price than one with the same year, same equipment and some miles.

Hi all.

I'm trying to make sure that I get the best deal possible and want to know what I should pay.

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to buy a G37x with the following:
Premium Package
Sport Package
Navagation Package
Interior Accent Package

The sticker is $44,005
Invoice is 40,424

I've tried reading through this forum and the more I read the more confused I get

Also, according to the dealer website, the sticker is $44,005 but the Infiniti website with these options is $44,045. Does this mean that the manufacturer changes prices from time to time? If so, could this mean that this vehicle has been sitting on the lot for a long time?

Any assisitance would be greatly appreciated.

I was very happy with the result I got using Truecar.com. I paid for Consumer Reports pricing guide and it turned out be based on Truecar. I also used Edmunds which is great and is also based on Truecar. The one thing if you use Truecar.com is that they show you Truecar program dealers, who have agreed to accept a stated price that you see right there on the site. Especially for an Infiniti it is hard to get less than this price, unless you're very flexible on colors and options, in which case you might get a slightly better deal by buying "off the lot" as they say.

I also purchased the Consumer Reports pricing report only to read here about Truecar.com. I kicked myself after seeing Truecar is the exact same thing--except for free!

I received an offer from JimColeman Infiniti for a brand new 2011 base Infinity G37X sedan $32,675, Out of the door price is $36,125. Is it a good price? My wife just dont like the color (white exterior), she prefer a silver one.

Do yourself a favor and don't get one that your wife doesn't like the color. I talked my wife into a white when she wanted a black. Half hour after pulling off the lot she was giving me grief.

Besides the white doesn't come in black interior, and that really is the only color to get.

Invoice includes destination.

Just be careful that they are backing that cost out before adding it back in.

$1K rebate makes them actually $1250 under invoice.

Anyone know how much these are going for nowadays? I will be returning from military deployment next month and will probably drive down to Dallas and check out the Infiniti dealerships down there. Just curious if anyone has bought any recently and what they paid for it? Thanks.

Right now, all Active & Reserve Military qualify for the Infiniti VPP best tier through the end of September. This means you can get the G37 for a price below invoice as you are bumped up to the top tier. If you can somehow get something going before the end of September it might be a good idea.

Maybe someone else on here knows if they will extend the VPP top tier pricing past Sept?

I've explored truecar, this forum, and called about 5 dealerships about leasing and current offers.

This is the best quote I am getting so far:

G37x Coupe, awd, prem, nav, kickplates, net, splashguards, first aid kit

24 months / 12K miles
MSRP: $45,320
Selling Price: $40,700
1-Pay lease(total payment): $11,550

Should I get it or look for better price?

Today I obtained the following 2 written quotes on the G37 sedan with the premium option package:

2011: $35,223 purchase price; $38,513 OTD

2012: $37,552 purhase price; $40,982 OTD

I was told the 2011 and 2012 models are identical.

Are changes forthcoming? I don't want to pay an extra $2469 just to be able to say I have a 2012, although it will maybe one day help the resale value.

there are no changes coming in the 2012 if that's what you mean and the 2011 and 2012s are the same except maybe a minor cosmetic change or two. The only difference right now is that my dealer starts with $4000 off the MSRP on the 11s and just $2000 off on the 12s, to start with and then we work from there. Of course being one model year newer can help in the resale but mileage and condition will play a big part of course. I'm looking to trade in a 2007 camry that only has 14,000 miles looks like new inside and out and I'll get a good amount more than someone who trades in a dinged up 2008 camry with 40,000k.

need help decinding if this is a good deal or not. MSRP for 2011 Infiniti G37x with Premium package and a few other extras is 41,785. Sell price is 37,600 w/out taxes,etc. i do not want to leave any money on the table on the buy side.
Other part of the transaction is that :confuse: I am trading in a 2006 BMW 2006 330 Cic with only 45,000 miles on it. It is loaded and very clean, ecellent condition with an extended BMW matiencne agreement on it until 12/30/2012.
Infiniti dealer only willing to give me 18,500 for it.
Caemax would give me 19,000. I an sell it on my own for a least 23,000 or so.

Has Infiniti extended the VPP upgrade for military? The upgrade to the top tier was supposed to expire at the end of September but I wasn't ready to do a deal. Have other incentives changed?

The active military getting VPP is a full-time deal (no end date set); however, the program that all VPP members were bumped up to the A plan is over. So, if you are military you still get VPP (purchase eligible vehicles at invoice price minus dealer cash) you just missed out on A plan VPP which is generally for actual Nissan/Infiniti employees.

Most other incentives are still out there from September.

Being military at least look at a new vehicle getting the VPP price....as for pre-owned just check autotrader.com and cars.com to see what is going on - I would recommend getting a Certified Pre-Owned one if you buy used.

Dealer is offering to sell it for $35,849 plus TT&L and a document fee of $599.
So, I guess that's $36,488 plus TT&L

I come up with $37, 257 as the invoice price. So that's $769 below invoice.

Does that sound fair?
Can I make an argument about the doc. fee or am I just wasting my time?

I think you should be able to do better then that.

I negotiated a price on a 2012 G37x with premium/Navi/sports pkg plus it also had illuminated kickplates and the trunk mat/cargo net/first aid kit for $36,997 + TTL.

The MSRP was $44,405 and invoice was $40,835, for a total savings of 16.7% off of the MSRP.

This was in Maryland and our doc fees were $200.

Just bought the car less then a week ago, its great! We financed with the dealer promo of 1.9% for 36 months.

Been awhile since I posted...some of you thought I may have gone away...but I'm still here. 15 years in the business and 5 years as General Sales Manager at the largest Infiniti dealership west of the Mississippi!

Current Incentives for G's...

2011 - all have 1.9% for 66 months or 2.9% for up to 72 months
G25: $500 or the rate ($1250 IF you lease)
G37 sedan: $1500 with the rate or $2000 without ($2750 IF you lease)
G37 coupe: $1000 with the rate or $2000 without
Convertible: $1000 with the rate or $2000 without

In Texas: No sales tax IF you lease on the G25 or G37 sedan - NICE

2012 - all have 1.9% for 36 or 2.9% for up to 72
G25: $500 or rate
G37 sedan: $1500 with the rate
G37 coupe: $500 with the rate or $1000 without
Convertible: $1000 with the rate or $1500 without

As for the dealer discount - on the remaining 2011 - most dealers will discout it about 7% (maybe the full 8%) and sell it for close to or at invoice! For the 2012, most dealers will discount about 5-6%, if we can make several hundred over invoice then we will do the deal.

Since Nov 1 - the G25, coupe, and convertible have been slow but the G37 sedan are selling like crazy! Hope this helps.

Is this deal any good? I hoping for less than this. I have not started negotiating.
