It might look good... How do you account for the difference between the selling price and the adjusted CAP cost?

Thanks for the reply @kyfdx‌ . I am not sure how they got to the adjusted CAP cost.
This is the numbers from them.

    Rebate: 5,400
    Cap Reduction: 5,135.43
    Working Cash: 6,383.00
    DriveOff : 6,383.00
    Customer Cash: 983.00

They said I only need to pay 983$.
I can ask for more for the difference between the selling price and the adjusted CAP cost.

Hi Volt2015, the quote looks very good. I'm also in Northen CA looking for a Volt lease. Do you mind sharing which dealer you got the quote? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, looks real good to me. But of course, the waters are filled with sharks, so read it all over before you sign anything in blood.

HA, so in the worst sales month of the year, and the month in which the successor to the Volt is being announced, GM not only reduces rebates, but kills the lease deals too? Do they want to collect Volts?

Congrats on selling a Ford Fusion Energi, GM.

Thanks for your help kyfdx, your information cleared up alot of confusion for me. I was looking to lease a Volt in December and decided to wait for January because it never occurred to me in my wildest dreams that incentives would actually GO DOWN for this month.

Standard MF and residual - don't know what those are.

36/15 numbers are better - 3.05% MF and 55% residual. $2275 lease cash.

Is the lease through Ally? That's the only program I can find that has that residual.

    3.05% APR and 54% residual.

At those numbers, I get about $364/mo.plus tax. Your quoted payment is about $402/mo.+tax.

I would ask for the final NET cap cost... Must be some other charges in there (acquisition fee?).

Anyone know how I can go about getting the $1000 Chevy private offer coupon? I have been trying on the Chevy website but it does not want to come up for me!

Also, I am considering two Chevy Volts: 1 is a DEMO car (never titled and has the MSO) and the other was a corporate fleet vehicle. Would both cars still be eligible for the 7500 tax incentive?

I believe if the car has been titled, it does not qualify for the tax incentive.

Can't help you with the coupon.

I am in the market for a new 2015 Volt lease. Chevrolet website lists 15% off MSRP cashback on Volt for Memorial day sale. Does that change any lease incentives? Do I still get the 00025 and 49% for 36/10. $3350 lease cash?

Purchase incentives are often different from lease incentives. I'm certain that you can still negotiate a substantial discount from MSRP, in addition to the $3350 lease cash, but it's doubtful that you'll get to take advantage of a purchase incentive and combine it with the lease incentive.

With your numbers (cap cost of $28,275), I get a payment of $302.55 after tax.

Confirm with the dealer the net cap cost; there might be some fees being added in that is increasing the payment.

Why put so much down on a relatively cheap lease?

Amortizing your down payment, the total cost is about $299/mo. That's a pretty good deal. But, I'd rather have $500 due at signing and a payment of $295/mo.

theees a local dealer with a base Volt with the 15% off MSRP (supposedly expires tomorrow). Should I also be expecting and additional $6,625 incentive as some other people have mentioned?  People seem to be pegging $10k off MSRP. Is that accurate?

    Hey guys

Just leased a 2016 Volt LT in Los Angeles county and thought it might be helpful to post my numbers...maybe this will help people who are looking into it.

MSRP of the car was $33,995
Selling Price: $32,868 - (I'm a Costco member, I can't remember if this discount was applied to the price or the cap cost reduction, I think it's here b/c they must give supplier pricing. It is 100% worth the $55 annual fee, I believe you also get a $300 CostCo gift card)

    Gross Cap Cost (+ Finishing Touch/Vehicle Theft/Acquisition Fee/Wear and Tear insurance) = $35,483.20
Cap Cost reduction -all incentives etc plus zeroed out cost of finishing touch/vehicle theft plus I paid $400 upfront of the wear and tear = $4501
    Net Cap Cost 30,982
    MF = .00040
    Residual: ~55% (I'm pretty sure)

At 36 months, 10K miles - pre tax lease was 333, with tax ~$365

Edited to say I put $0 down, no drive offs except to cover the $400 of the wear and tear (was easier for me)

I also have not factored the $1500 California rebate into any of this.

How does Chevy apply the discounts? Is this $4200 on top of the $7500 govt rebate? + dealer discount?

No. Lease company keeps the $7,500. You get the lease cash, dealer discount, and any other private offers or GM card points.
