That's what they're saying anyway
I got Pilot at MSRP, they were available in few dealers. If you give me your email address, I can email it to you. They don't allow me to post names and numbers.

I checked Hardin Honda from the internet and at least one complaint was file against them date 2/6/02. I guess it is not an easy job to pick a good Honda dealer.
Does anyone have information on the extended warranty? I believe it is $1500 for 100,000 mile warranty. Is it worth it?

So I hammered him on the pilots low tow ratings,
no low speed 4WD, Mini van shifter, no truck frame
and so on. I told him to call me when he could sell at or below MSRP. 10 days later a drove the new Envoy XL. Larger, stronger and the SLT with technology package was far beyond the pilots contents. Also drove very smooth. 2 weeks ago the honda salesman called me back, said he was ready the sell at MSRP! I said, you should have sold it a MSRP a few weeks ago, I have purchased an Envoy XL below MSRP with 0% fin. Just pure greed from these dealers. 0% is forcing them to sell at a lower price!! Good luck to you all. Don't pay over list, Please.
The Pilot can't handle this task. As far as resale value GMC trucks are one of the highest.
The Pilot is more of a socker mom transporter. By the way, did of know the transmission in the Pilot
is made by GM! GM auto truck transmissions are now the best in the world. Yes, in the early to mid 90's they had problems. Its a different story now. Also, did you know GM won the Malcolm Baldrige award for 2002. You need to do your research.
"Honda will supply GM with advanced V-6 Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) engines and automatic transmissions."
It sounds like Honda is supplying GM, not the other way around.
Thanks!
Thanks

The Pilot is selling significantly over MSRP in the Pacific Northwest.
Where this info from?
Why in Pasific Northwest Pilot can't be sold for MSRP.
It is not true
I submitted requests for price quotes via cyberspace to about ten dealers within a thirty minute drive of my home in Westchester Couny. The prices quoted were all over the map, from $350 below to $2000 above MSRP. My previous vehicle, a 2000 Odyssey was still in excellent condition, so I figured I could wait if it took a while for delivery. The dealer with the best price faxed me the written order at home, and I put down a credit card deposit of $200. I never had to set foot in a dealership, saving me a lot of hassle and wasted time. Luckily, the new Pilot was available very quickly.
The dealer was even nice enough to take a personal check at delivery, saving me a trip to the bank. Everything seemed fine until I went out to the Pilot to drive home, and found there were no floor mats. The window sticker lists carpeted floor mats as standard equipment. They looked around for the mats and said they couldn't find them. Since I had been cheated out of floor mats by another car dealer in the past, I was very suspicious. I told the sales manager at the dealership that I wouldn't accept the car until the mats were installed. They were still unable to find the mats, so I left. The next day they called to tell me the mats were lost, so they ordered another set of original equipment mats which arrived the following day. When I went to pick up the Pilot, they gave me a free second set of Pilot winter mats as an apology for having to come back to pick up the vehicle. I was very satisfied.
In sum, it is a great vehicle, and I feel I got a very fair price, given the demand and the quality of the vehicle. My well laid plan to go to the dealership only once to pick up my Pilot was foiled, but only a little bit. Now if I could get them to deliver my next vehicle to my house, that would be great! I hate going to car dealerships!
It would be better if you can name that dealer so that folks like me can try to get this car at no more than MSRP.
I beleive that the price I paid is only available if you get them to quote via the internet.
In other words, when I go and plunk down my deposit, are they building the car for me?
Thanks.
to answer your question, take a red pilot ex for example...they are all identical, so why do you care whether yours comes from scratch or from dealer allocation? if you want additional equipment, thats all done at the dealer. this way, you dont have to wait EVEN LONGER to get "exactly what you want".
I didn't ask about the dealer accessories.
I care because dealers are telling different stories. I hear from one that they can order and give me a build and delivery date, another says it's just, wait until one comes in like you want it.
1. in stock (rare)
2. dealer trade (if you can handle 50-250 miles on it at delivery)
3. on order (leave a deposit and wait)
all 3 pilots will be identical in all ways when they arrive.
the 2 stories you got from dealers are both true...1 dealer pre-sells them, and the other will depend on whether your salesperson dials your phone # quicker than the guy in the next office dials his customers #. this is a risky way to buy, and i would drop your deposit at dealer #1, as this gives you first shot at it when it arrives, no matter how many people want it. this also gives you say-so in what is added to it.
dealer #2 wants them all in stock so they can add accessories you may not want and charge you for them anyway.
if you want nothing added, tell dealer #1 specifically not to touch it besides clean-up.
Honda Pilot at msrp or under. THANKS
