Can anyone point me to a lease calculator I can download?
Here is your lease calculator:
http://www.edmunds.com/apps/calc/CalculatorController?pmtcalAction=lease_calc
Finally can I write into the down payment agreement that if BMW offers rebates or cash backs while I wait for the car I should be entitled tol the benefit?
I am looking at 325xi
Black Ext.
Black Leather Int.
Burl Walnut
Auto
Cold Weather Package
MSRP: $37,070
i don't know what the extended warranties look like, but the general advice is get it from the manufacturer, not a third party - negotiate for it. see if you can pit dealers against each other in bidding for that too. if it is a manufacturer's warranty, they all sell it --- so go for it the same way. you generally don't have to buy at time of purchase, you can wait a while but the price will generally go up.
Better off buying 1 runflat tire for $300.00 & store it.
If u get a flat u can drive 150 miles & get your tire.
If tire shop can't fix your flat or don't stock runflat?
You can easy go to your truck & have it mounted on your car.
If going on long trips throw spare in trunk & you are set.
Chances are in your favor of never getting a flat?
Which means: come time u need 4 new tires, your 1 tire ahead.
I'm driving 32 years & believe only 2 flats ever!
I rather pay $300.00 for 1 runflat that I will use in future.
Then $400.00 to $700.00 tire insurance that I may never use?
In other words, negotiate your best price.. they won't do that, then take off another $2295...

First: I don't know where you got that weird 2295 off figure but it's about 2-3k off from reality.
Second: Go to http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=54549&d=1122480781
Look at page 2, in the munich pick up section. That's the real ED price. Add your features (prices listed), then find a dealer willing to meet that price plus $695 shipping and $1,000 dealer profit.
Third: Ignore the BMW website junk about ED. You use that, you cheat yourself out of a few grand.
A 330i with manual, leather, sport, comfort access is 41k. Via ED, including dealer profit it's 35.8k.
Fourth: There is an ED board on edmunds. go there and discuss your options with people who have done ED.

2 fronts are same & rears are the same.
Even if u buy 2 spares 1 front & 1 back, will equal insur.
I bought one & hope it will be a front tire that gets flat :-)
If not no big deal, just buy the rear tire if it can't be fixed?
Actually planning to buy the rear tire to, so when time
for 4 new tires. I will need to only buy 2.
The base acquisition fee is $625, which is set by BMWFS.. The dealer is allowed to mark up the fee by $200 for extra profit. Only that last $200 is negotiable..
Are you looking at a wagon? Those numbers are different.

a lease in San Francisco Bay Area.
330i, premium, automatic, navigation, satellite prep, sports package
MSRP $44,225
12k/yr 3 year lease
$1015 drive off - $0 cap reduction, only tax, license, registration, 1st month
They quoted $566/month, $612/month after taxes
You might be able to get them down another $15/mo.., but that would be about it, I would think...

Obviously, I'd appreciate anyone chiming in who has gone through this process.
Anyway, thanks for the tips...I suppose I'll be calling the 800# instead of pulling up the website every day.

Have your Prod # or last 6 of VIN available.
does anyone have jan lease numbers for a 325 convertible?
also, how much over base mf are dealers typically quoting?
Dealers will typically mark up the money factor the maximum amount allowed (.0004).. But, you should always insist on the base rates...

$34,886 is the deal agreed on ($36,320 MSRP)
But 3 year lease with $0 down (first month's payment, taxes and everything, but no additional $$s), 36 months and 12K miles is $532 per month plus taxes.
He told me residual was 64%.
I was happy with the overal price $34,886 (4% over invoice), but he started playing games on the lease pricing..."sorry our first price we quoted you, we used the wrong residual, so that number isn't valid"...blah, blah. I walked out after 90 minutes of negotiations...not that I think he was too far off the price, but that he played enough games where I was in a position of feeling he was playing games to get the pricing up. Right or wrong, it was time to leave.
Anyway, what do you all think? And thanks to all for the advice on leasing versus buying given my scenario. That was helpful.
