Thanks Michaell. Another dealer in this area quoted me Audi quattro premium plus (msrp: $41,650). He didn't give any other numbers like adjusted cap cost etc, but I was told that the payment is going to be 0 down, $446 for 10k miles including tax. Don't know the residual or money factor. Without knowing the cap cost, I can't say if it's a good deal or not.
I was offered this deal but after looking at this forum I think I can get a better offer. This is for a 2015 A4 FWD. Let me know what you think? I'm in CA, zip 92868.

$375.47 after tax.
Thanks,
Base MF for the FWD A4 is only .00004, so that is being marked up on you considerably.
We also don't recommend putting money down on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
Using $32,695 as the new net cap cost and the base MF, I get a pre-tax payment of about $377/mo; 9% tax (I'm guessing) takes the payment to $411/mo.
I'm new to these forums but I'm hoping that I might be able to get some quick advice on a 2015 Audi A4 lease.
I'm looking at a premium plus Quattro with the technology and sports packages (among a few other options, like B&O sound). The MSRP is $46,710 and the adjusted cap cost amounts to $42,908.
For a 42 month/12k lease they said the bottom line monthly payment would be $580. That includes $1000 down (deducted from my trade-in) and $2500 due at signing.
Conversely, I can switch it to a 36 month/12k lease at $600/month.
Do both of these sound like good deals? Does one sound better than the other? I'm almost inclined to do the 42-month lease because I would still be within warranty on it, but I don't want to go in that direction if it is presumed to be a bad idea.
Also, is $2500 due at signing a high amount?
Thanks in advance! I'm going to pore over the forums to see what else I can learn.
I should note that the money factor is .00058, which seems really high based on what people are reporting in this thread. However, with that being the case, I can't figure out why my monthly payment would be so low ($600 seems like a fairly good deal given the price of the car).

A4 2.0T Q Premium Plus - 36/12 is .00062 and 53%; 42/12 is .00082 and 49%
Using the MSRP and adjusted cap costs you've provided, I get a pre-tax, $0 cap cost reduction payment of $546.17 for 36 months and $530.62 for 42 months.
It depends on what the $2500 is being used for - first payment, acquisition fee, dealer fee and state license or tag costs are usually due at signing.

Where do you live and what is the tax rate?
So, the dealer said the $2500 is comprised of the $1000 that I put down plus the $1500 rebate. I don't make a payment myself until July.
Does that change things at all? Why do you think their payment is so much higher than your estimate? The taxes certainly will make a difference, but not by that much, right?
Also, I live in Las Vegas and the tax rate is 8.1%.

I'd ask for a full accounting of the $2500 -- I suspect the dealer is rolling in the up front costs into the lease that I'm not using in my calculations.
And, ask them to provide the net capitalized cost - should be the same as the adjusted cap cost, but you never know.
Calculating a lease is a straight-forward math exercise, nothing more complicated than 5th grade math, in fact. If you add the 8.1% tax to the payments I calculated, it's still less than the dealer quote.
Any chance you can work with another Audi dealer? The competition should keep everyone honest and you'll get a better deal that way.

When I look at the monthly base for the 42 month offer, its actually about $6 higher than your estimate (so, fairly close). But then the monthly payment jumps to $580.

---- 2015 A4 Gray Black, Prem w/ Nav $39,595 MSRP
36/10k - $2,500 down = $425.36 tax included (42 month term lowers to $419.91)
Residual is 53% = $20,985
Cap Cost = $34,222
---- 2015 A4 White Black, Premium Plus, Technology $41,775 MSRP
36/10k - $2,500 down = $485.50 tax included (42 month term lowers to $474.92)
Residual is 51% = $21,305
Cap Cost = $36,612
What is the breakdown of the $2500 due at signing? Any of that cap cost reduction?

this is what they say
Calculates the cap cost this way, MSRP 39,595 - 6348 (rebates/discounts) = $33,247 + start ups (1352) + acquisition fee (695) + misc fees (battery/tire/rental surcharge/agency fee/county tax $204 = $35,498.
Just start ups due at signing (which equal $1,352) your tax in payment is $424.61.
Still need to know if this is for FWD or Quattro - the lease numbers are different for the two.

So, no cap cost reduction in that money - good.

If you're comfortable with the numbers, no reason not to pull the trigger.

Does that change things at all? Why do you think their payment is so much higher than your estimate? The taxes certainly will make a difference, but not by that much, right?
Also, I live in Las Vegas and the tax rate is 8.1%.
Thanks for the assistance.

2015 Audi A4 Quattro Premium Plus $39700
2.0T Quattro Tiptronic 8 Speed
Manual Transmission
36 Month/10K
Technology Package $2900
Salesman didn't give me Money Factor
RV: 54%
New York Tax 8.625%
Incentives: $2200
Net Cost: $43525
No money down - everything built into lease
$647 up front (I guess this includes 1st month payment and maybe something else but not sure)
Bank Fee $695 (built into lease)
Taxes built into lease
Disposition Fee $350 (not built in to lease)
Acquisition Fee: ??? (built into lease?)
Lease Payment quoted by dealer: $549
No idea if this is a good price. Salesman said that everything is built in to this payment and $647 will be due at signing. Would like to know what I can get this for.
Thanks
