I just wanted to know whether the current A4 summer lease promotion was a good deal?
Here are the details: 2015 Audi A4 2.0T quattro Premium Lease: $399 a month, 36 months, 10k $2,093 Due at Signing
Based on MSRP of $38,525 (including destination charges) for a 2015 Audi A4 2.0T quattro Premium Tiptronic with automatic transmission
Purchase option at lease end for $20,804
I'm in southern California, zip 90505
Thanks!
Advertised deals are usually just average... you can beat them with some negotiation and dealer competition. That said, the A4 lease program is decent, this month. Which isn't always the case with Audi.
Could you give me a rough estimate of approximately how much better I could do with some dealer competition and negotiation? Trying to decide whether it would be worth the effort to try and negotiate between dealers.

Thank you!
The problem of not trying, is you probably won't even get the advertised deal. By the time the dealer marks up the money factor and the acquisition fee and adds a dealer fee, your payment could be $80/mo. higher than the ad price..
It's always worth trying to get the price lower...
Hi everyone What do y'all think of this deal? Audi A4 FWD with nav/backup, not sure what packages but msrp approx 40,900 sale price : 35895 The dealer didn't really tell me the residual or money factor - but is willing to pay off 2 remaining payments on my c class (approx 816). This is in TX, so sales tax on entire value of car - 36 month, 10000 monthly : 409 I know its hard to tell if its a good deal without residual/mf, but Im guessing if monthly is 409 then the mf can;t be marked up too much? They initially quoted me around 490 . Also in the proposal it says total cap reduction 3790 - I don't pay that right? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

.00004 MF and 53% residual for Premium, 51% for Premium Plus.
Did they say how much is due at signing?
Hard to see them at $409/mo including tax, without a big chunk upfront.
Thank you SO much! Always feel comfortable making a decision like this after running the numbers but I still haven't quite understood the calculations! Any chance you tutor? Lol
Does anyone have the MF and Residual for a 2015 A4 Premium Plus in MA (02452) for 36mo and 10k miles? I'll be getting it with the navigation and technology packages.

I was quoted the following for A4 Premium Plus for 36 mos. 15k:
MSRP: $44,860 Net cap: $38,725 (with $3750 "rebate") MF: .00058 Residual: 49% (with $800 AudiCare) $559 with $0 down
My credit is excellent so the MF seems high. Dealer tells me this is for top tier credit and I can "buy it down" if I want. What is the Audi MF for A4?

If this is a Quattro, the 36/15 lease numbers are .00018 and 48% (49% with AudiCare) - so yes, your dealer is marking up the MF on you.

36/7.5 on A4 Premium Quattro is .00018 and 54%. Using the MSRP of $40,595, a selling price of $35,715 and an 8% tax rate, I calculate a payment of $425/mo. Your quote of $411/mo looks good by comparison.
Hello, I'm looking to lease a 2015 A4 Premium Plus Quattro for 36 months, 12k miles per year. The car has an MSRP of $45,500 and a selling price of $40,040. What's the current Residual and MF (the dealer wouldn't give them to me) I live in Denver and my tax rate is 7.62%.
Also, does Audi allow putting down mulitple security deposits? Thank you for your help!

.00018 and 50%.
MSDs are allowed - maximum 9, each of which reduce the MF by .00005. In your case, only 2 will be allowed, as the minimum MF allowed by AFS is .00005
I got a lease offer from a dealer for a 2015 A4 Quattro Premium 18" spoke wheels, MSRP of $39625 for $358.70 per month before tax and a $1029.25 drive off for a 36 mo 10k lease. Would this be a good deal?
And if its relevant, this is in southern California.

It would help to know the selling price and/or CAP cost... but, that sure seems like a good price..

I am helping my sister negotiate a lease on a 2015 A4 2.0T Premium (Tiptronic) 4 dr all-wheel D, with the technology package and premium plus. The initial offer she got when she test drove the car is as follows. I know I can get it lower, but don't have any experience with Audi.
MSRP: $44,300 Adjusted Price after rebate and discount: $37,600 Add in some weird fees (Phantom FP?, Dealer services and Audi Care): $39,185.00 Total price with acquisition fee,Title, License, Tax, etc: $42,612.31
For 12K/year 36 month lease with no cash down they want $614. She doesnt want to pay over $500, can we get there?
What is the Money factor and residual value for TX and also what payment would you come up with given the above numbers.

.00018 and 52% for 36/12 on the A4 2.0T Quattro Premium. Add 1% if AudiCare is purchased.
With your MSRP and total price, I get a payment of $543.37/mo. Texas taxes the entire selling price even if you lease, so that jacks up the payment quite a bit.
You are getting a healthy discount from sticker (almost 15%) so not sure how much more room there is to negotiate there. Your sister can use MSDs to lower the MF, but the minimum MF allowed by Audi is .00005, so only 2 MSDs can be used (each MSD reduces the MF by .00005). Doing that takes the payment down to $536.76/mo.
Not sure you can get to $500 or less .. perhaps she should look at the A3.
Thank you for your quick response. are any of the sundry fees negotiable? I noticed a destination charge of $925 in the MSRP, an acquisition fee of $695 and also a dealer services fee of $497.00. And i don't know what Phantom FP is at $259.00.

Destination charge and acquisition fee are not negotiable. Dealer fee of $497 can be negotiated by getting a lower selling price.
I went to Audi a few months back just to see what kind of deal I could get. I wasn't prepared to lease the car so it was more to get an idea on what monthly payments would cost me. I am glad it was just that because as I am looking at this discussion and the money factors provided seems the deal they were trying to sell me was awful! I am ready to go back and lease the A4, can you please give me an idea of what a good deal would be. This is the information they gave me on the original deal
2015 Audi A4 Quattro Premium Plus MSRP $44,170 Residual % - 57% ($25,176.90) MF 0.00133 selling price $42,000 Adjusted cap cost $44,807.79 amount due at start $2229.88 Monthly payment $638.38 State: NJ
Ideally I would love to have the payments in the low $500, if possible. My credit score is above 780. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks for the info! Seems like the numbers that are on this lease info sheet they gave me are way off. I should have mentioned I'm looking for 36/15k. Would the MF stay the same? Is it realistic to think that I can get the payment to be under $550?

Subtract 3% from residual to go from 10K/yr to 15K/yr.
Your numbers appear to be from a long time ago.. you need to start over. Numbers change monthly or quarterly, at least.
Im looking at leasing an A4 and have meet with the dealer several times. I just wanted to get some general info to make sure the dealer is calculating everything correctly. I am trading in a car I have negative equity on. I owe around 3,600 left on the car. Its getting appraised at several dealers for 2,000.
So my question is how does the actual math on the lease work with negative equity.
One dealer is offering to give me 3,700 for trade in value on the car to "hide" the negative equity. quoting me the following write up.
net price 36,429 trade payoff 3,645 balance 40,074
So my question is on the trade allowance and trade payout lines. Is this calculated correctly. I understand the trade allowance and the dealer covering the negative equity by giving me more for my trade than its really worth at 3,728. But why then are they rolling in almost the same amount to the final price of the car with a trade payoff of 3,645. Shouldn't they only be rolling in the difference between what my trade is worth and what they are giving me for a trade on the trade payoff line which would be 1,645.
I understand I need to pay for the negative equity in some way but the dealer now has an asset that is worth 2K.
Any help on negative equity math and different ways dealers handle this is appreciated. I just want to make sure i'm not getting screwed with creative math.

If I understand this correctly, they are overallowing on both the trade value and the trade payoff to make the numbers look better on the worksheet. You're still putting the negative equity into the lease.
Yes they are giving me more for my trade value then using basically the same number as the trade payoff. I am fine putting the negative equity into the lease. I am just wondering if this is typical to put the same amount for both or should the trade payoff be lower since they now have my car. Or should I be asking for another incentive or discount to account for the actual value of my current car they are taking.

Let's review, just to make sure we're on the same page.
Actual value of trade in = $2000 Amount owed on trade in = $3645
Trade in allowance on paperwork = $3728 Trade in payoff on paperwork = $3645
So, the value of the trade in is inflated, but I suspect they are offsetting that by not giving you as big a discount on the price of the car you are leasing. With Audi, you should be able to negotiate 4-6% off sticker before any incentives are applied.
So, the $1700 extra they are giving you in trade is simply that much of a discount on the new car you aren't getting. In the end, it's the same amount, just the math is different.
Thank you, yes we are on the same page and that makes sense to me now. It was just a bit confusing because they lumped the 1,700 extra incentive into the trade value which was close to the amount of my loan payoff .

What do y'all think of this deal?
Audi A4 FWD with nav/backup, not sure what packages but msrp approx 40,900
sale price : 35895
The dealer didn't really tell me the residual or money factor - but is willing to pay off 2 remaining payments on my c class (approx 816).
This is in TX, so sales tax on entire value of car - 36 month, 10000
monthly : 409
I know its hard to tell if its a good deal without residual/mf, but Im guessing if monthly is 409 then the mf can;t be marked up too much? They initially quoted me around 490 .
Also in the proposal it says total cap reduction 3790 - I don't pay that right?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!!
Did they say how much is due at signing?
Hard to see them at $409/mo including tax, without a big chunk upfront.

got this quote, can you tell let me know if numbers are right:
2015 A4 2.0T FWD
msrp: 36,975
Net cap: 35,000
mf: 0.00004
residual: 56%
36/7500k miles
448 due at signing and 448/month
and if I add Audicare generally what does it add each month? (is it about $12, from what I have seen on these forums?)
thanks
AudiCare adds 1% to the residual, but the net cap cost will go up as well.

My credit is excellent so the MF seems high. Dealer tells me this is for top tier credit and I can "buy it down" if I want. What is the Audi MF for A4?

MF: 0.00065

What is the MF for this month, I think they made it up on me.
And is it a good deal?
Without the markup, it would be about $35/mo. less.
That isn't many miles.... can you get away with 7.5K/yr?

Individual options and packages do not affect the MF and residual, just the trim level.

You should be able to negotiate 4-6% off MSRP ... once you have that number, we can model a payment.

They quote me $411 included tax per month for this car. Is it a good deal? I haven't negotiate the price yet.
They gave my $4880 dealer discount

36/7.5 on A4 Premium Quattro is .00018 and 54%. Using the MSRP of $40,595, a selling price of $35,715 and an 8% tax rate, I calculate a payment of $425/mo. Your quote of $411/mo looks good by comparison.

Also, does Audi allow putting down mulitple security deposits?
Thank you for your help!
MSDs are allowed - maximum 9, each of which reduce the MF by .00005. In your case, only 2 will be allowed, as the minimum MF allowed by AFS is .00005

MSRP: $44,300
Adjusted Price after rebate and discount: $37,600
Add in some weird fees (Phantom FP?, Dealer services and Audi Care): $39,185.00
Total price with acquisition fee,Title, License, Tax, etc: $42,612.31
For 12K/year 36 month lease with no cash down they want $614. She doesnt want to pay over $500, can we get there?
What is the Money factor and residual value for TX and also what payment would you come up with given the above numbers.
Thanks!

Price 39,980
Incentive -2,750
adjusted price 37,230
trade allowance -3,728
trade difference 33,501
fee 187
doc fee 300
tax 2,296
non tax fee 144
net price 36,429
trade payoff 3,645
balance 40,074
Thanks

Actual value of trade in = $2000
Amount owed on trade in = $3645
Trade in allowance on paperwork = $3728
Trade in payoff on paperwork = $3645
So, the value of the trade in is inflated, but I suspect they are offsetting that by not giving you as big a discount on the price of the car you are leasing. With Audi, you should be able to negotiate 4-6% off sticker before any incentives are applied.
So, the $1700 extra they are giving you in trade is simply that much of a discount on the new car you aren't getting. In the end, it's the same amount, just the math is different.
