Yea, it was a big jump from the 1.9%, but even if they go to 0% that's only like $15/month in difference for me. I don't see them doing that though, and the salesman was confident that the $1,000 rebate wouldn't get any larger if it hadn't already.

since the Murano get a complete make over for 08, I see huge rebates coming for the 07 in a couple of months.

I got two email offers from dealerships that I just sent emails to this weekend. Murano SL with touring package and a few other goodies. One dealership had one with a MSRP of 36,500 offering me invoice price. The other had one with chrome wheels MSRP of 37,830 offering 32,500. I think I can do better still so I will let you guys know what I can get out of them. The one that offered me 32,500 I sent an email stating that I see on the net that the Murano was selling for 1000 below invoice and that there is a change in model in 08. Hope this help anyone looking to buy one. I am in 2 weeks.

Wow... good luck gettign $1000 below invoice. The only way that's even happening is with the rebate right now otherwise you're barking up the wrong tree.

I have seen a local dealership trying to move product that has been sitting on the lot for a few weeks, but those are ones that no one wants (color combos or factory options that aren't popular).

If you can score invoice then that's a good deal.

Just bought an SL and I have to thank all of you on this website. I learned a lot about the buying process and especially about the specific SUV Crossover from these pages. I felt informed and able to negotiate a reasonable deal. We got a blue SL with touring package, Navigation and DVD for $33,529 including the 1K rebate (selling price was 34,529). They gave gave us 20K for our trade-in so we were able to walk out with an 18K bill (OTD for 38K). We paid cash, so we waived the great interest rates (0.7%!!) for the 1K off selling price. Probably not the best bargain ever reported here, but we got the car we wanted with a generous trade-in and an overall pleasurable buying experience. The ride home was very pleasant and quiet, the navigation was easy to use. Hope we are this postiive about this car a year from now. Thanks again to everyone for all the information and good luck with your own purchases.

We live in the Seattle area, anyone in this area have experiences with a great dealer that deals with you and gives good price. We are looking to buy 2007 sl awd, touring package, dynamic control package, perhaps premium package. Thanks! :confuse:

I just leased a 2007 Pearl SL AWD with touring package. MSRP was $37,290 and got them down to $33,488.52. I traded in a '99 Maxima SE fully loaded with 100,700 milees and got $6,840.00 for it. Lease is for 24 months, 12,000 miles/year with a payment of $225.00/month including taxes. Also got them to throw in a sunroof wind deflector at no charge. The residual value on the car is $22,746.90. I did a lot of research prior to making the deal but after two weeks still pondering if I was successful in negotiating my first new car deal. Could use some feedback to clear my mind! FYI..deal took place in Omaha, Nebraska.
  • hpgatorhpgator Member Posts: 39
Jman, that sounds like a terrific deal if I'm reading your post correctly... You got a fully loaded SL with a navigation unit AND a DVD entertainment system for $33,529 with rebate? That's a great deal.

To give you an example, I am with a company that gives me a Nissan "partner" discount and my cost for a SL with touring and navi (no dvd) is $33,200 or so without the rebate. You are basically getting invoice or below for your car which is a great deal.

Sounds pretty good, but why would it be on ebay? Something fishy here to be quite honest.

Why on earth would they sell for $2k below invoice on a perfectly fine new car unless something had happened? Also why would it be on ebay of all places?

To help you comparison shop. We just bought a new 07 Murano SL with the Sunroof/Bose pkg, AWD, winter mats, cargo mat, sunroof deflector. MSRP of $34825. Invoice was around $31875. I saw the actual invoice on a $34600 car where invoice was $31725. We paid $31300 which is $575 UNDER INVOICE. It took quite a bit of negotation, but we're very happy with the deal. Picking it up tomorrow. This was excluding the $1000 rebate which could have further reduced the price. We opted for the outstanding 0.7% financing for 36 months. We decided to leave our money earning 5% and use their "almost free" financing. BTW, the dealer said the $1K rebate or 0.7% was available through the end of May but expected to hear from Nissan at the last minute about what the next offer will be. This is in the Chicagoland area. Can't wait to get it. We were considering a Mazda CX7 but after about 100 yards in the Murano we knew this was the one for us. The turbo 4 / Premium fuel Mazda was a lot noisier and the front seats felt too hard.

I'm considering purchasing a "cross-over" SUV and have been looking closely at the Toyota RAV4 and the Nissan Murano. I test drove the RAV Sport with a V6 and was very impressed with it's power and towing capacity (3500 lbs.). Does anyone know the towing capacity of the Murano? Also, I've read that to get the best mileage in the Murano, you need to use premium fuel. Is that true? Thanks for any helpful info.
  • mike1111mike1111 Member Posts: 93
I was looking at the RAV4 V6 and the Murano also.I loved the power of the RAV4 V6.Its a nice SUV and did I mention the power?I test drove the RAV4 V6 and the only thing that got us was it was a touch small. The Murano can tow 3,500 pounds also.I was dead set on the RAV4 V6 till I drove the Murano. It was much roomier and still has plenty of power but not as much of course. The Nissan recommends priemium fuel but you can use 87.I use 93 and have got a high of 21.2 mpg with 80% city.If I drive 100% city I get about 19.0 mpg.Test drive the Murano and you'll see what I mean about the space and comfort. It is more of a cruise mobile than the RAV4 V6.I'm happy I got the Murano BUT if the RAV4 was touch bigger I would have never looked at the Murano
  • tommyguy10tommyguy10 Member Posts: 9
Kwidrick, the Murano is rated for 3500 lbs max towing. I towed with my 2003 Murano for years with no problems. You will like it!

Last evening, I took delivery on a 07 Murano SL AWD, Glacier Pearl, with SL touring package. Martin Nissan in Illinois gave me $2850 for my trade and my OTD total was $31,987.99. I felt that I got a great deal, no cash down and preferred financing through my credit union. Comments are welcomed, if any.

Most of the national incentives for Nissans endend July 2, 2007 according to their website. Anyone know of the current incentives yet? The Murano specifically...
  • paulscar4upaulscar4u Member Posts: 3
The current Nissan Murano manufacturer incentives run
    from July 2 -- 31, 2007 and offer a choice of $ 1500 rebate on '07 Muranos OR .7 % financing up to 36 months.

Edmunds shows a special lease program for the Murano S AWD. I'm trying to determine if this means that their is a lower money factor applied to S leases than SE and SL leases, to S AWD leases and S 2WD leases. To phrase this as a question, does the money factor for the Murano differ by body style?

    Thanks.

Are those prices out the door amount or before all those fees? I bought my SL Awd Touring pkg (no nav and dvd) out the door $35,000.

I bought the same thing SL AWD Touring (no nav or dvd) in late Feb for 34,700 OTD.

I currently live in the Chicagoland area and I am seeking to purchase a "Demo" 2007 Murano SL AWD, Touring Pkg, 5K, Sunroof. The dealer's suggested retail price is $32,500. What would be a good negociating price for such SUV?. According to Edmunds TVG, Dealer retail price is $29,501. Need your input!!!. Thanks August 8, 2007

    Leased a '07 Murano SL
    Is this a good deal?
    2WD, Platinum,
    No options
    MSRP=$30,300

    $1500 paid at signing
    (only$ out of pocket)
    $337/mo..39 mo

    How'd I do?
  • philskarenphilskaren Member Posts: 4
I got the exact same deal (1339 paid at signing) and 339/mo but I only got the 2WD Platinum S. I am pretty jealous, but it was a hard bargain just to get the S for this price. I really would have liked to get the SL (more speakers, backup camera, auto-on/off lights, 10way seats) but I still love my car.
  • secondrigsecondrig Member Posts: 21
I picked up my 2007 Merlot/Latte Murano SL AWD (with the usual touring package stuff, all weather mats, cargo cover, wind deflector, plus XM and the dynamic control package). $35,000 before $1500 rebate. It was a long wait for the actual car, mainly because I really wanted dynamic control and no nav (can't figure out why so few cars are packaged without dynamic control--my sales guy really had to work to find the exact car). Worth the wait.

Thanks for all the posts and helpful info. :)
  • paulscar4upaulscar4u Member Posts: 3
    Congratulations on your purchase.
I've been trying to find a Sunset Red or Midnight Blue '07 Murano SL AWD with the Dynamic Control Package and XM satellite radio and it's been impossible for me to find it in
my area of the Midwest. I'm very frustrated with Nissan and their dealers that they make it virually impossible to buy a Murano with DCP/VDC--without the $ 1800 navigation system.

I even wrote to Nissan about this and asked them to waive $600 of the cost for the dyanmic control. They (no surprise) have not responded back.

This is the deal I got:

    2007 Murano SL AWD
    Touring Package
    39 month Lease
    12k/year
3,000 down plus the DMV Fees
    $360/Month
End of lease purchase option of $18,410

I shopped around for two months for this deal. I finally got them down from the low 400's per month for this car with 3 grand down. It is very challenging to get this car with the touring package in SL for this price.

I am looking at a 2007 Nissan Murano priced at $27,995 with 15,000+Miles. I am in Richmond, Virginia and trying to find another car with the same color (Black) to compare.

If I skip a trade-in will dealers give me a discount for not having to deal with an old car ? Cannot find a another used one with the same color. Is there somewhere that I can find to get a Free Vin check ?
  • kevin86kevin86 Member Posts: 5
Can you please explain to me how you got this deal?

I am probably going to close the deal on a lease tonight for the exact same car and I would love that deal.

What are the details of it?

Seems we have over paid for our Murano which we got today. Its only a 2WD. BTW, did you also get your Window tinted and Pen stripe done.

We have only signed the paperwork and have not paid and the SUV is still with the dealers. Any suggestions higly appreciated.

The Internet Sale Price quoted seems very attractive. Hope you had bought the car by now. We paid $33,800 OTD for a 2WD. It has almost the same package as yours except for the "Dynamic Control Package". We got a little carried over and our negotiation was quite poor. Though we have signed the papers we have not got the SUV yet. It will be really helpful if you can share your invoice details with us. Thanks in advance.
  • svenkatesvenkate Member Posts: 5
Sound like a good deal. What was your ODT?

I live in MontainView SFO Bay Area and the best quote I got for the following Nissan is $27500 OTD (excluding license fee and taxes).

Model: 2007 SL 2 Whell Drive
    Options: Leather Package
Color: Exterior - Silver Metallic, Interior - Black Charcoal

Please let me know if this is best/fair/worst deal?

    Please help.

    thanks,

Paid $26900 (not including tax and title, etc).

Should have been $1500 less, but opt to the low rate financing.

Dealer threw in $150 free gas card and 2 free oil change.

But the above deal is much better than mine. $27500 for SL and leather pkg is so good to be true. I could not get it here in St. Louis from 4 dealers I visited.

Just leased a Nissan Murano on Aug 31st with 15k/year mileage for 39month for $435/month including 6% taxes. The downpayment was first month+58.80 (DMV fees). MSRP $36,9900. Guessing from the reaction of the other dealers I shopped around, it was a good deal.

    2007 MURANO SL AWD
    Exterior Color : Sunset Red
    Interior Color : Charcoal Leather
    Drivetrain : 4WD
Dynamic Control Pkg: VDC w/ Traction Control
    SL Touring Package
    +
    Carpeted Floor Mats
SL Splash Guards (set of 4)
    Cargo Mat
    Moonroof wind deflector

    MSRP: $38,560
    Rebate: $1500
    Sale price after rebate + dealer discount + $ 30, 786
    Final OTD price inc: total tax,lic + fees = $ 33, 265

I live in Minneapolis, but purchased this car in southern MN town about 95 miles south of the Twin Cities. New '07 Murano had been sitting at dealership since Nov or Dec '06.
Had 310 miles on it, but still considered new + full warranty.

I think you got a great deal. I consider 23% off sticker about as good as anyone can do. I bought almost the same Murano in February for $32k. I'm a serious car trader and know I got a skinny deal. You paid near the bottom. These vehicles are a bargain at retail. Almost $5k under sticker is a steal. Sleep well.
  • tleung21tleung21 Member Posts: 2
I thought with all of the help from Edmunds.com and kbb.com, I have the prices to negotiate. $6,455 off MSRP is not bad - what do you all think?

    Exterior Color : Platinum
    Interior Color : Charcoal Leather
    Drivetrain : 4WD
SL Touring Package w/ XM Radio, factory Navigation

    MSRP: $40,335
Sale price after rebate & dealer discount: $33,880
Final OTD price inc: total NYS tax,lic + fees: $37,075

Lastly: I requested the initial quote from the dealer's website and by doing so, I will receive free oil changes from Nissan's service centers.

I caught the back half of a TV advert for a dealer in Indiana yesterday evening who were selling 2007 Murano's for less than $19000 - unfortuanly i didn't get the name of the dealership. I assume at that price it would be a FWD S model - Anyone else see this or know which dealers are doing this sort of offer - Also what's the catch?

Anyone looking to buy in the Northern New Jersey Area, stay away from Lynn's Nissan in Bloomfield. I have had a terrible experince with them. Buying a car is a very tedious and often unpleasant experience and I can tell you that Lynn's didn't make it any easier.
