2007 Murano SL AWD
Touring Package
Floor Mats
Splash Guards
Roof Rail Crossbars
Sunroof Wind Deflector
MSRP is $36,940 and they quoted me $$29,862 (including destination charge, but before TTL). I believe it's a really good deal and was about to purchase it. However, I looked at the pricing for the '09 and I've decided to wait. It looks like a lot of the optional features on the '07 have become standard on the '09. The '09 SL AWD has an MSRP of $29,480. I'll likely add leather for $1,600 for a total MSRP of $31,080 (I'm guessing destination will be added to this). I'll be patient and wait until the '09's begin selling for under MSRP and hopefully not pay too much more than the '07 price above. Any thoughts on this? Does anyone know if invoice pricing is available yet for the '09?
Where is the best Chicago area Nissan dealer to deal with? I want to find one that doesn't screw around with bloated sales figures.
The salesperson there looked into what option packages I'd need to get on the '09 to be comparable to the '07 I'm looking at. She said I'd need the leather package and the Premium package for an MSRP of $32,825 (including destination).
The 2009's are supposed to have an improved CVT and traction control and vehicle dynamic control are now standard, so it's not quite and apples to apples comparison. I've pretty much made up my mind to wait for the 2009's to sell below MSRP. I'll just be patient until that happens.
If anyone has the invoice pricing or knows where to get it please let us know.
Thanks!
it seems like about $2K difference on S from sticker and invoice..

Thats exactly what I am looking for !!!!
I test drove a FX35 AWD and then a Murano LE today and the Murano came out on top. Both the wife and I agreed hands down. The FX was very loud and rough. The Murano is a real beauty and the LE is worth the extra couple of Grand with the Chrome accent on the bottom and for the roof rack. I was not impressed with the Voice Command it appears not to support the Audio.
You call a phone number and provide them some employee information including your plan number and they give you a VPP number. When you go into Nissan/Infiniti with the VPP number the entire sales process is based on you getting the vehicle for a fixed price, usually just above invoice.
I haven't found a dealership that will accept VPP pricing yet. All of them so far are telling me I need to wait about 2 months.
I would value your input on the following; Should I be upset that Nissan has come out with an 09 Murano as opposed to an 08? Does this not make me take a hit on my 06 Murano for trade in purposes? Have I not lost an extra years' depreciation? What strategy can I use going forward?
Many thanks.
Tony
rkon01 - I found a dealerships website in the Chicago area that shows MSRP and Invoice price. Only problem is it doesn't have any details on what options they come with. I'm looking at a SL AWD with Leather and premium package, cargo protector and floor mats. The MSRP for this vehicle (including destination) is $33,105. Their web site has one for $33,250 with an invoice price of $30,466.

Coggs, I would suggest that you know some other individuals who have talked with dealers and they are entered in a VIN and Nissan is allowing VPP. If they don't want to honor it tell them you will go to another dealer. Or bettor yet you will get an FX35 with the incentives.
2007 SL AWD Touring
MSRP over the phone $37000
Sales price $33192
Money factor 0.00016
Residual 39 months 49%
Trade Value $20,000
Pay-off $20,000
KY sales tax 6%
(Approx.) Monthly payment $480
I don't understand how Huffman Nissan is coming up with this payment. Also, is this really the best deal to be had on a 2007? We drove a different color Murano on Sunday that had an advertised price of $32855 on the windshield. It is not a demo, etc-- it's brand new. I was told today over the phone that price could be only be had on a purchase otherwise we'd need to ADD $2000 "to make up" for the rebate not offered on a lease thus making the sales price $34855!
Can someone please help? It seems like the $1500 (Nissan) rebate would have to be applied to get to this payment but I'm being told that money does not apply to leases. I also don't feel $33192 is the best they can do considering the 09's just came out. :confuse:
Thanks!!!

MSRP is $33,040 and I was given a price of $30,469 (before TTL). This is NOT VPP pricing. It is about $100 over invoice price.
Is this a good price? With the economy in the crapper, I don't imagine people are getting in line to buy a $30k vehicle that requires premium fuel. I'm thinking maybe I should wait 4 to 6 months to see if Nissan offers any kind of incentives. Any thoughts on this?

He went back to the manager's office and came back about 30 seconds later with a "deal" worksheet that included a trade in of $12,500 (not sure where that came from) and the delivered price of the car was approximately $34,500. Huh????
I immediately got up out of the chair, stated that there was nothing further to talk about and walked outside. The salesman and manager followed me out with the invoice and stated they couldn't possibly sell me that car for $30,369. And all of a sudden, neither of them could remember that they had my signature on a piece of paper with the $30,369 price.
Now, maybe someone made a mistake. And if they had so stated, and been honest about it, I might have been willing to continue negotiations. But because of the instant "amnesia" I am pretty sure I will not step inside that dealership again, ever.
Too bad...I was just about ready to give them my SSN and see what financing rates they could come up with. I could have driven the car home...I knew it was a really good price.

overall Exceptional car, haven't found any issues yet. averaging about 15-16 MPG in the city hope this will get better.
Thank You.
Delivered Internet Price: $37,128 Factory Invoice: $36,628
MSRP: $39,920
This is the exact deal I got at Fitzgerald! No documentary or freight charges. $37,128 plus tax and tags and I'm on the road on Friday....I can't wait! Very easy to deal with...one price store.
After going back and forth with the sales person here's "the best he can do":
2007 SL AWD
Sunroof PKG (sunroof, bose system, 6 cd changer, roof rack, etc.)
:: $28,000 before TTL.
(about $5500 below sticker)
1.9 finance for 3 yrs.
Price includes an after market leather installation (I guess is worth about $1,200).
Is it still worth considering for an '07?
I was also told that there is a lease deal on the LE right now of 59% residual don't know what money factor is but I've seen .0300 thrown around (7.5%) which will hopefully get better in a month or two as the fed crashes rates.
At 59% residual and .0300 money factor the lease payment on an LE with moonroof (which is pretty well loaded) would be about $520 a month plus tax.
Sometimes a dealer might do such a deal on a new popular vehicle if they need to hit a certain number of vehicles and you make a purchase at the end of the month or quarter.
Some markets are also better/worse than others. You might have a very hard time getting an AWD Murano '09 SL close to invoice in a market like Colorado, but might be able to get such a deal in Texas or GA where AWD is not popular and people won't spend the money for it.
Find out if you can get VPP pricing through Nissan through your work. VPP works out to around $500-$800 over invoice and is usually one of the best deals you can get on a Nissan that's selling well in the market.
