The dealership in Woodland, TX is throwing me some inaccurate numbers (I believe they are trying to confuse me as part of their sale trick... ... they told me Residual Rate is 56% and it is the SAME for both 24-month and 30-month!).

what is the actual Money Factor for January 2016?
what is the actual Residual Rate for 2015 i3 REX for 24 months, 10K miles/year?
what is the actual Residual Rate for 2015 i3 REX for 30 months, 10K miles/year?
what is the actual Residual Rate for 2015 i3 REX for 36 months, 10K miles/year?
what is the actual Residual Rate for 2015 i3 REX for 36 months, 12K miles/year?

I have received the following quote from my local dealer in NC:

    2015 BMW i3 w/Range Extender
    MSRP: 50,095
    Discount: 9,545
    Sale price: 40,550

    Due on Delivery: 1,000

    36 months lease, 10k miles/yr
    $514.28 per month incl tax

I was expecting around $400/mo and thought this is too high. Even if I double the down payment, the monthly payment only gets to $468.69. I don't have any other details such as residual and money factor.

Can someone please weigh in on this? What should I expect with this deal?

    Thanks!

nm, seems Michael already answered the question :)

Seems , you are not getting $7500 lease credit that BMW Financials passes on to you. Either that or discount of $9545 already includes that amount. In later case, looks like you are hardly getting any dealer discount considering there is $2,000 build out cash and $7500 lease cash offered by BMW Financials.

Second, instead of doubling down payment, Put 7 MSD which reduces your MF by 0.00049,savings of about $30 per payment and deposit is returned when lease ends.

Hello, after been rejected many times I finally found a dealer in east coast that is willing to work with me, the others did not even wanted to keep talking to me after asking them to give me at least 11% of main msrp before any rebates kicks in, I found a dealer that has the car with all the options fully loaded, below is what they offering me.

Current break down from their offer. 24/10k Fully loaded Terra 2015 with range extender.

    MSRP 54,095
Suggested MSRP 49,579 8.35% off main msrp
Rebates 7,500 federal 2000 buildout rebate and 500 loyalty
    Net price $39,579

    Residual 59%
MF .00083 after buying maximum msd
The Acquisition Fee is $925. The total fees are $665.50($347 Doc Fee, $305.50 Registration,$8 Online Fee, $6 Tire Tax

    $3115 Total Security Deposits.
Total cash out of pocket is $3539.98 for a payment of $424.98

I want to be at 11% off about $1500 more off from msrp, is this a good deal in the east coast?? Everywhere I look they don`t want to sell near invoice price and most are trying to make it look like federal tax break is part of the rebates from the dealer.

Why not go with 30 months? The residual is the same as 24 months. It will knock about $75/mo. off your payment.

I think your own efforts are showing you where the bottom might be, and it looks like you may be there.

Yes I see what you mean, that make sense since is only 6 more moths, from what you have seen here is that normal for the NY/NJ folks? Am puzzle even more because they have inventory from 2015 taking space and 2016 are already out.

You were right, I found another dealer with fully loaded model and this is their offer, still at 24 moths, I wonder if I should ask to them give me 30/10k numbers.

I'd sure ask about 30/10 numbers.

It's amazing how little some dealers/salespeople look into the numbers. You have to do the homework yourself. 30 months would be a substantial reduction in payment.

I really can't help you with the pricing side of it.. But, in any case, 30 months will save you at least $70/mo. That takes a good deal and makes it great!

For what it's worth, I leased the exact same spec as your second deal at the end of December. The selling price, without the $7500 lease credit, was more than $9000 off the MSRP, though that included a special $1000 rebate that not everyone gets and did include the $2000 "holiday adder". I did shop a few dealers and I feel like this is about as low a price as I could get on that spec. This is on the West coast so your mileage may vary, but I think you really should concentrate on the selling price. The dealers can discount heavily as evidenced by your first deal... $40,000 selling price on the $54,000 sticker seems like a pretty good deal. Hard to judge your second deal as you didn't mention the selling price.

I test drove a BMW i3 fully loaded Tera, with range extender, Tech, parking package,etc... over the weekend in San Francisco. (Sticker $55,300k). Wonderful car, but I don't think I was getting a great deal. Considering these are 2015 models and the 2016's are already on the lot, what is a reasonable expected percentage off of MSRP? Is 18-20% off on these vehicles out of the question? Essentially these are 1 year old cars... The final number I was given was 13% off MSRP, but I am not convinced that was really a good deal. I was negotiating for a lease. Thoughts?

    HI,

Do you have the RV and MF for an i3 with range extender for 24/30/36 months at 12k and 15K in NY?

Is the 2000 buildout credit and 7500 lease credit still in effect? Any other incentives?

Also, how are the numbers different for the 2016 model?

    Thanks,

    SM

The selling price is $5,450 off msrp before 9.5k rebates. Am still debating with the dealer to get another 1k off, the fact that sales plummeted this year 72% for this model compare to last January lets see if they feel the pressure and give me what I want. Last January bmw north america sold 670 I3 and this year only 182.

Right now we stand on $350 a moth for 24 moths with 7 msd, they want me to give them my loyalty discount, according to them this will waive 2 moths payments and they want 1. I was thinking the loyalty only coverts $500 max for this model.

    Summary

    $ 350 @ 24 months 10k miles with $ 4,404.50 due at signing

$350 first month due at signing ( 1 of 2 loyalty rebates)

    $925 Bank fee

    $369 doc fee

    $310.50 Motor vehicle fee

    $2,450 refundable deposits @ 350

    What is the MSRP?

MSRP is $51,200. I already told them that the MF was marked up too high, and the sales price of the car was too high as well.

I had another dealer send me a monthly total of 330/mo for a more 'loaded' unit. I still felt like that was too high as well. This unit was brand new too.

I just asked about it, the rebates and incentives. I don't think that was even factored on the new model, or the leased one. The used one doesn't seem like a great deal, to be honest and they're wanting a credit app sign.

They keep saying the lease tax credit is (up to, meaning not the full amount) and/or for finance only. Like getting them to come down price on the i3 is insane. These don't sell that well for them to be so stingent.

Net cap cost appears to be $46,874. I don't have the exact breakdown of the $3000, but I clarified that total costs to drive off lot are $2995 (inclusive of fees) and payments are $441/month for 30 months. Does that help? I can drill down for more info. They also offered One Pay option at $16287, which actually appears slightly more expensive than the monthly payments.

    Thanks again,

    Josh

Something doesn't add up. Where is the $7500 rebate factored into the pricing? Is there any down payment included in the $2995?

If I subtract the $7500 from the cap cost of $46,874, I get a payment of $338/mo.

I recommend you read back through the last few pages of this discussion; huge discounts have been reported by other members, before the lease cash. I think there is rom to do a lot better on this deal.

It is my understanding that AZ taxes the monthly payment ... I don't understand why there is almost $4K of tax included in the contract.

The problem is: There is really no lease information in your quote, except for the payment, and the initial selling price, and the rebate The sales tax quoted is only for a purchase, and nowhere listed is the money factor or final adjusted CAP cost.

They make a really pretty chart, and admittedly, plenty of information, but not the specifics for a lease.

it shows the money factor along the bottom at a marked up rate (highest if tier1 they can go) although its a slightly higher for march.

His state may require the sales tax based on the price like my state and not on the depreciation.

Its showing that his price is $51,005 minus 8000 in rebate (7500 ev credit and 500 usaa).
